    We present a combined measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element Vcb|V_{cb}| and of the parameters ρ2\rho^2, R1R_1, and R2R_2, which fully characterize the form factors of the B0D+νB^0 \to D^{*-}\ell^{+}\nu_\ell decay in the framework of HQET, based on a sample of about 52,800 B0D+νB^0 \to D^{*-}\ell^{+}\nu_\ell decays recorded by the BABAR detector. The kinematical information of the fully reconstructed decay is used to extract the following values for the parameters (where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic): ρ2=1.156±0.094±0.028\rho^2 = 1.156 \pm 0.094 \pm 0.028, R1=1.329±0.131±0.044R_1 = 1.329 \pm 0.131 \pm 0.044, R2=0.859±0.077±0.022R_2 = 0.859 \pm 0.077 \pm 0.022, F(1)Vcb=(35.03±0.39±1.15)×103\mathcal{F}(1)|V_{cb}| = (35.03 \pm 0.39 \pm 1.15) \times 10^{-3}. By combining these measurements with the previous BABAR measurements of the form factors which employs a different technique on a partial sample of the data, we improve the statistical accuracy of the measurement, obtaining: ρ2=1.179±0.048±0.028,R1=1.417±0.061±0.044,R2=0.836±0.037±0.022,\rho^2 = 1.179 \pm 0.048 \pm 0.028, R_1 = 1.417 \pm 0.061 \pm 0.044, R_2 = 0.836 \pm 0.037 \pm 0.022, and F(1)Vcb=(34.68±0.32±1.15)×103. \mathcal{F}(1)|V_{cb}| = (34.68 \pm 0.32 \pm 1.15) \times 10^{-3}. Using the lattice calculations for the axial form factor F(1)\mathcal{F}(1), we extract Vcb=(37.74±0.35±1.25±1.441.23)×103|V_{cb}| =(37.74 \pm 0.35 \pm 1.25 \pm ^{1.23}_{1.44}) \times 10^{-3}, where the third error is due to the uncertainty in F(1)\mathcal{F}(1)

    A study of exclusive production of the DDˉD \bar D system through initial-state r adiation is performed in a search for charmonium states, where D=D0D=D^0 or D+D^+. The D0D^0 mesons are reconstructed in the D0Kπ+D^0 \to K^- \pi^+, D0Kπ+π0D^0 \to K^- \pi^+ \pi^0, and D0Kπ+π+πD^0 \to K^- \pi^+ \pi^+ \pi^- decay modes. The D+D^+ is reconstructed through the D+Kπ+π+D^+ \to K^- \pi^+ \pi^+ decay mode. The analysis makes use of an integrated luminosity of 288.5 fb1^{-1} collected by the BaBar experiment. The DDˉD \bar D mass spectrum shows a clear ψ(3770)\psi(3770) signal. Further structures appear in the 3.9 and 4.1 GeV/c2c^2 regions. No evidence is found for Y(4260) decays to DDˉD \bar D, implying an up per limit \frac{\BR(Y(4260)\to D \bar D)}{\BR(Y(4260)\to J/\psi \pi^+ \pi^-)} < 7.6 (95 % confidence level)

    We report searches for B -meson decays to the charmless final states ρ K ∗ and f 0 ( 980 ) K ∗ with a sample of 232 × 10 6 B ¯¯¯ B pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e + e − collider. We measure in units of 10 − 6 the following branching fractions, where the first error quoted is statistical and the second systematic, or upper limits are given at the 90% confidence level : B ( B + → ρ 0 K * + ) < 6.1 , B ( B + → ρ + K * 0 ) = 9.6 ± 1.7 ± 1.5 , B ( B 0 → ρ − K * + ) < 12.0 , B ( B 0 → ρ 0 K * 0 ) = 5.6 ± 0.9 ± 1.3 , B ( B + → f 0 ( 980 ) K * + ) = 5.2 ± 1.2 ± 0.5 , and B ( B 0 → f 0 ( 980 ) K * 0 ) < 4.3 . For the significant modes, we also measure the fraction of longitudinal polarization and the charge asymmetry: f L ( B + → ρ + K * 0 ) = 0.52 ± 0.10 ± 0.04 , f L ( B 0 → ρ 0 K * 0 ) = 0.57 ± 0.09 ± 0.08 , A C P ( B + → ρ + K * 0 ) = − 0.01 ± 0.16 ± 0.02 , A C P ( B 0 → ρ 0 K * 0 ) = 0.09 ± 0.19 ± 0.02 , and A C P ( B + → f 0 ( 980 ) K * + ) = − 0.34 ± 0.21 ± 0.03

    21 pages, 8 postscript figues, submitted to ICHEP2006Based on the measured four-dimensional rate for Ds+toϕe+νeD_{s}^+ to \phi e^+ \nu_e decays, we have determined the ratios of the three hadronic form factors, r_V=V(0)/A_1(0)= 1.636 \pm 0.067 \pm 0.038 and r_2=A_2(0)/A_1(0)= 0.705 \pm 0.056 \pm 0.029, using a simple pole ansatz for the q2q^2 dependence, with fixed values of the pole masses for both the vector and axial form factors. By a separate fit to the same data, we have also extracted the pole mass for the axial form factors, mAm_A: r_V=V(0)/A_1(0)= 1.633 \pm 0.081 \pm 0.068 ,r_2=A_2(0)/A_1(0)= 0.711 \pm 0.111 \pm 0.096 and m_A=(2.53^{+0.54}_{-0.35}\pm 0.54){{GeV/}c^2

    19 pages, 4 figures. Contributed to the 33rd International Conference on High-Energy Physics, ICHEP 06, MoscowThe decay width and the mass of the D_s1(2536) have been measured via the decay channel D_s1 -> D*+K_S using 232 fb^-1 of data collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- storage ring. The result for the decay width is (1.03 +- 0.05 +- 0.12) MeV/c^2, with the first error denoting the statistical uncertainty and the second one the systematic uncertainty. For the mass, a value of (2534.85 +- 0.02 +- 0.40) MeV/c^2 has been obtained. The systematic error is dominated by the uncertainty on the D*+ mass. The mass difference between the D_s1 and D*+ has been measured to be (524.85 +- 0.02 +- 0.04) MeV/c^2

    21 pages, 6 figures. Contributed to the 33rd International Conference on High-Energy Physics, ICHEP 06, MoscowWe present a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa CP-violating phase gamma with a Dalitz analysis of neutral D-meson decays to the K^0_s pi^- pi^+ final state from B^+/- -> D^{(*)}K^+/- decays, using a sample of 347 million B\bar{B} events collected by the BaBar detector. We measure gamma = (92 +/- 41 +/- 11 +/- 12)deg, where the first error is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty and the third reflects the Dalitz model uncertainty. For the ratios r_B^{(*)} between the magnitudes of amplitudes A(B- -> D^{(*)0}K-) and A(B- ->\bar{D}^{(*)0} K-) we obtain the one-standard deviation intervals [0,0.14] and [0.02,0.20], respectively. All results presented here are preliminary

    We report a measurement of CP-violating asymmetries in B0(ρπ)0π+ππ0B^0\to(\rho\pi)^0\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0 decays using a time-dependent Dalitz plot analysis. The results are obtained from a data sample of 347 million Υ(4S)BBˉ\Upsilon(4S) \to B\bar{B} decays, collected by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC. We measure 26 coefficients of the bilinear form factor terms occurring in the time-dependent decay rate of the \Bz meson and derive the physically relevant quantities from these coefficients. In particular we find a three standard deviation evidence of direct CP-violation in B0ρ±πB^0\to\rho^\pm\pi^\mp decays, with systematic uncertainties included. We also achieve a constraint of the angle α\alpha of the Unitarity Triangle. All results presented are preliminary

    27 pages, 27 postscript figues, submitted to ICHEP2006Using 232 fb-1 of data collected by the BABAR detector, the Xic'+ and Xic'0 baryons are reconstructed through the decays: Xic'+ -> Xic+ gamma and Xic'0 -> Xic0 gamma, where Xic+ -> Xi- pi+ pi+ and Xic0 -> Xi- pi+. By measuring the efficiency-corrected yields in different intervals of the center-of-mass momentum, the production rates from B decays and from the continuum are extracted. For production from B decays, the branching fractions are found to be B(B -> Xic'+ X) x B(Xic+ -> Xi- pi+ pi+) = [ 1.69 +- 0.17 (exp.) +- 0.10 (model) ] x 10^-4 and B(B -> Xic'0 X) x B(Xic0 -> Xi- pi+) = [ 0.67 +- 0.07 (exp.) +- 0.03 (model) ] x 10^-4. For production from the continuum the cross-sections are found to be sigma(e+ e- -> Xic'+ X) x B(Xic+ -> Xi- pi+ pi+) = 141 +- 24 (exp.) +- 19 (model) fb and sigma(e+ e- -> Xic'0 X) x B(Xic0 -> Xi- pi+) = 70 +- 11 (exp.) +- 6 (model) fb. The helicity angle distributions of Xic' decays are studied and found to be consistent with J = 1/2

    18 pages, 4 figures. Submitted to 33rd International Conference on High-Energy Physics (ICHEP 06), Moscow, Russia, July 26 - August 2, 2006We present preliminary results of a search for the decays B+ -> rho+ gamma, B0 -> rho0 gamma, and B0 -> omega gamma. The analysis is based on data containing 347 million BB events recorded with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II B factory. We measure branching fractions of BF(B+ -> rho+ gamma) = (1.06^{+0.35}_{-0.31} +- 0.09) x 10^{-6} and BF(B+ -> rho0 gamma) = (0.77^{+0.21}_{-0.19} +- 0.07) x 10^{-6}, where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic, and set a 90% C.L. upper limit of BF(B0 -> omega gamma) < 0.84 10^{-6}. Assuming isospin relations between the three branching fractions, these results are used to determine the CKM matrix element ratio |V_td/V_ts| = 0.171^{+0.018}_{-0.021}(exp.)^{+0.017}_{-0.014}(theor.)
