SOXS: UV-VIS Detector System setting and test

This document is intended to describe the CCD acquisition system for SOXS and the test on the electronics and on the detector. At the beginning of this document, we will describe the E2V4482 CCD, the CCD settings and the phases for the different readout modes. We will describe the generated CCD waveforms, written with the waveform editor (BlueWave), we will show the waveforms generated by the controller and the theoretical waveforms provided by e2v. Following we will illustrate the electronic tests on the bias, clock sequences and the test on the CCD detector

Effects of splitter Blade Length on disc pump performance

The disc pump operates using boundary layer principle and viscous drag with a relatively low efficiency. There are methods to increase head and efficiency, one of them is the placing of blades sectors or splitter blades in discs. This method has been applied only in the low viscosity fluids pumping (v < 0.1 stokes). This study describe an experimental research in a hight viscocity fluid (v = 2 stokes) with exit angle (32 = 35° and different splitter blades Lengths (Ls) (75, 50, 25%). The purpose is to determinate the splitter blades length that achieves the most effective combination between the blade effect and boundary layer effect in order to increase the energy transmission efficiency from the impeller to the fluid. As result, it can be established that the use of spliter blades is an alternative to increase the performance of the disc pump. The highest efficiency and head were obtained for the gapsize between two discs (b) of 12 mm using a 50% spliter blades length of the main blade length

Caracterización del sistema de riego del Valle Inferior del Río Chubut : análisis desde las representaciones y opiniones de quienes riegan

La historia de la gestión del agua de riego en esta región está marcada por conflictos que en la actualidad parecieran seguir sin resolverse. Este devenir histórico, el entramado biofísico complejo y sistemas productivos y socio-ecológicos dinámicos hacen necesarios estudios que aborden al territorio desde múltiples perspectivas. En el caso del presente trabajo, se reconoce la necesidad de recuperar y reconocer las experiencias, opiniones y percepciones de usuarios y usuarias del sistema de riego del VIRCH, con la intención de que sea el puntapié para que la gestión del agua de riego en este valle se acerque hacia un modelo multiactoral, en el cual el reconocimiento y análisis de los problemas y la manera de abordarlos sean definidos en conjunto por la sociedad civil, el sector privado e instituciones del Estado (Moreyra, 2015), entendiendo que el uso del agua es un tema que afecta a todos y todas. Específicamente, con este trabajo se busca contribuir a la comprensión del funcionamiento del sistema de riego del VIRCH desde las percepciones de las y los regantes, conocer sus opiniones sobre las instituciones presentes en el territorio y, por último, aportar al diseño de una estrategia de trabajo institucional a corto y largo plazo que sea capaz de comprender las demandas y necesidades del sector agropecuario.EEA ChubutFil: Diaz, Lucas Damian. ¿Qué opinan del sistema de riego quienes usan el agua en el VIRCh?

Este documento es un resumen del trabajo “Caracterización del sistema de riego del Valle Inferior del Río Chubut. Análisis desde las representaciones y opiniones de quienes riegan” que será publicado próximamente. Este resumen tiene el objetivo de acercar parte de la información generada a los y las regantes y a los directivos y trabajadores de la Compañía de Riego para que pueda ser utilizada en los distintos espacios de debate y toma de decisiones. Este estudio tiene como base una encuesta dirigida a quienes estuvieran a cargo del riego de las unidades productivas (chacras). La Imagen y la Narrativa como Herramientas para el Abordaje Psicosocial en Escenarios de Violencia. Ciudad de Bogotá, Neiva y Santa Martha.

Este estudio de caso está diseñado con el objetivo de comprender, analizar, evaluar y crear estrategias de abordaje psicosocial en realidades del conflicto armado y violencia en Colombia, los cuales afectan a las personas convirtiéndolas en víctimas y sobrevivientes de todo acto violento. El análisis de la situación que se vive en Colombia nos ha permitido elaborar estrategias para enfrentarnos a la realidad que se vive el país, situación que nos lleva como futuros profesionales en psicología a articular nuestros conocimientos académicos en pro de un acompañamiento psicosocial sustentado en las teorías, metodologías, diagnósticos y estrategias para abordar situaciones de eventos de crisis y traumáticos a las que se ven expuestas las comunidades o personas en situaciones de vulnerabilidad. A partir de los diferentes relatos de las víctimas de la violencia y el conflicto armado expuestos y abordados en el diplomado de profundización acompañamiento psicosocial en escenarios de violencia se eligió el relato de Modesto Pacanyá, como eje central de este trabajo, el cual estuvo marcado por hechos que impactaron la vida y que generaron cambios significativos, obligándolo a ser expuesto a eventos peligrosos para salvaguardar su vida y la de su familia, tuvo que tomar la decisión de desmovilizarse y entregarse a las autoridades con el propósito de retomar su vida junto a su familia y desplazarse a otra ciudad para protegerse de las represarías del grupo criminal, no obstante, se evidencio los impactos psicosociales que tuvo que vivir y la manera resiliente como los enfrento. A partir del análisis del relato de Modesto Pacayá, se procedió a construir de manera argumentativa tres preguntas estratégicas, tres circulares y tres reflexivas con el propósito de realizar un acercamiento psicosocial para indagar a fondo las condiciones de victimización del caso escogido. Por último, se analiza del estudio del caso de Pandurí, reconociendo aquellos emergentes psicosociales latentes después de la incursión y hostigamiento militar hacia la comunidad, evidenciando que el miedo, la crisis de identidad, la inestabilidad emocional y económica, el desarraigo, baja autonomía y las respuestas sintomáticas de no ser intervenidas a tiempo pueden generar limitaciones funcionales, hasta convertirse en una depresión o en un Trastorno de Estrés Postraumático.This case study is designed with the objective to understand, analyze, evaluate and create strategies for a psychosocial approach to the realities of the affects left behind during the armed conflict and violence in Colombia, which affect people, making them victims and survivors of all violent acts. The analysis of the situation in Colombia has allowed us to elaborate strategies to confront the reality of what we see in the country, a situation that leads us as future professionals in psychology to articulate our academic knowledge in favor of a psychosocial accompaniment based on theories, methodologies, diagnostics and strategies to address situations of crisis and traumatic events to which communities of people in situations of vulnerability are exposed to. Based on the different stories told by the victims of violence and armed conflict exposed and addressed in the Continuing Education Certification (CEC) in Psychosocial Accompaniment in Scenarios of Violence, the case study of Modesto Pacayá was chosen as the central axis of this dissertation, marked by events that impacted life and generated significant changes in his life, imposing him to be exposed to dangerous events in order to safeguard his life and that of his family, forcing him to make the decision to demobilize and turn himself in to the authorities in order to resume his life with his family and move to another city to protect himself from the retaliation by the paramilitary group. Based on the analysis of Modesto Pacayá's case study, three strategic questions, three circular and three reflective questions were created with the purpose of facilitating a psychosocial approach to help investigate the extensible conditions of victimization presented in the narrative. The case study of the town Pandurí is analyzed, recognizing those emerging psychosocial latent after the military incursion and harassment towards the community, showing that fear, identity crisis, emotional and economic instability, uprooting, low autonomy and symptomatic responses if not intervened in time can generate functional limitations, becoming depression or showing pathologies related to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Plataforma virtual de educación financiera “Finclass”

El presente proyecto el cual es una plataforma virtual vinculada a temas de finanzas e inversiones para jóvenes y adultos resulta viable tras haber realizo diferentes comprobaciones por distintas investigaciones durante el desarrollo del presente trabajo. Estas comprobaciones junto con la información recabada nos permitieron identificar el panorama en el cual los jóvenes y adultos entre 15 y 45 años, de NSE A y B de Lima encuentran dificultades para el entendimiento de temas financieros o de inversiones. Asimismo, estos problemas se denotaron más y fueron de mayor necesidad durante los últimos años debido a la pandemia del Covid-19, y como este afecto a las economías en todas sus escalas desde un nivel macroeconómico hasta finanzas personales del público objetivo. Con motivo de afrontar esta problemática es que se diseñó FINCLASS para poder dar solución a esta demanda de las personas por aprender temas financieros e inversiones para su aplicación personal o en sus negocios. FINCLASS consiste en una plataforma que brinde clases virtuales de alta calidad, en vivo, y desde la comodidad de donde el alumno se encuentre. Finclass contará con un sistema de innovación constante y las herramientas necesarias para el óptimo aprendizaje de los alumnos, tanto las personas que esperan dedicarse al mundo de las finanzas como también a los empresarios o personas naturales que quieran aprender a administrar mejor sus finanzas, de esta manera se generará ingresos principalmente por el pago/suscripción mensual, semestral y anual de los cursos de la plataforma.The present project is a virtual platform linked to finance and investment topics for a diverse range of people, from young adults to adults. It is a viable solution after making several checks in different research during the development of the present paper. These validations, together with the information found, allowed us to identify the outlook in which the target public, from 15 to 45 years old, from socioeconomic backgrounds A and B from Lima, find difficulties to understand finance or investment topics. Likewise, these ´problems were aggravated with increased necessity during the latest years, especially due to the COVID 19 pandemic. As this event affected the economics in all their levels, from a macroeconomic level all the way to personal finance to the target public. With the purpose of facing this problem, FINCLASS is born. Aimed at proving solutions to the demands of the specialized target to who are trying to learn finance and investment topics for their application at personal level, or in businesses. FINCLASS is a virtual platform where high quality classes are provided, live and from the conformity of where the student is located. Finclass will handle a system of constant innovation and the required tools to deliver the optimal learning to students. To people looking to be immersed full time in the finance world, to also even average people who desire to manage better their personal finance. GIARPS: the unique VIS-NIR high precision radial velocity facility in this world

GIARPS (GIAno & haRPS) is a project devoted to have on the same focal station of the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo (TNG) both the high resolution spectrographs HARPS-N (VIS) and GIANO (NIR) working simultaneously. This could be considered the first and unique worldwide instrument providing cross-dispersed echelle spectroscopy at a high resolution (R=115,000 in the visual and R=50,000 in the IR) and over in a wide spectral range (0.383 - 2.45 micron) in a single exposure. The science case is very broad, given the versatility of such an instrument and the large wavelength range. A number of outstanding science cases encompassing mainly extra-solar planet science starting from rocky planet search and hot Jupiters, atmosphere characterization can be considered. Furthermore both instrument can measure high precision radial velocity by means the simultaneous thorium technique (HARPS - N) and absorbing cell technique (GIANO) in a single exposure. Other science cases are also possible. Young stars and proto-planetary disks, cool stars and stellar populations, moving minor bodies in the solar system, bursting young stellar objects, cataclysmic variables and X-ray binary transients in our Galaxy, supernovae up to gamma-ray bursts in the very distant and young Universe, can take advantage of the unicity of this facility both in terms of contemporaneous wide wavelength range and high resolution spectroscopy.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures, SPIE Conference Proceeding
