Through intercommunication and the diversity of knowledge, in relation to the ever renewed capacities of literacy and digital fluency, we aim to offer the conditions to learn the professional practice of the teacher and to develop the digital competence. The uneasiness of the hermeneutic proposal addresses the issue of differences and procedural action necessary to build the competencies of teachers to act in different contexts of education. We conclude that the combination of several EaD skills consists in projecting challenges that are constantly changing to the boundaries of learning, intrinsic to socio-educational activity. Keywords: Distance education. Objective: The objective of this study was to estimate the seroprevalence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 antibodies in patients with tuberculosis. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at an outpatient tuberculosis clinic in Alvorada, RS, Brazil, with data collection between October and December 2020. Outpatients aged>18 years with active pulmonary tuberculosis, no prior history of coronavirus disease 2019, and no suspected coronavirus disease 2019 were included in the study. Whole blood samples were collected to perform the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 antibodies test. Results: During the study period, 52 patients met the inclusion and were included in the analysis. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 antibodies were positive in 16 (30.8%) patients. Male sex was more frequent among patients with negative severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 antibodies than in patients with positive severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 antibodies (86.1 vs. 56.3%, p=0.031). Contact with coronavirus disease 2019 case was more common in patients with positive severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 antibodies compared with patients with negative severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 antibodies (87.5 vs. 8.3%, p<0.0001). In a multivariate analysis, in a model including the variables such as male sex and contact with coronavirus disease 2019 case, only contact with coronavirus disease 2019 was independently associated with positive severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 antibodies (OR 77.0, 95%CI 11.5-512.4, p<0.0001). Conclusion: This study revealed a seroprevalence of 30.8% severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 among patients with tuberculosis

Background Xpert MTB/RIF is increasingly used in many countries as the initial diagnostic test for tuberculosis (TB). Few studies have evaluated the effect of Xpert on TB diagnosis under programmatic conditions in Brazil. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the impact of introduction of Xpert MTB/RIF on TB diagnosis in a city with high TB incidence in Brazil. Methods We included patients evaluated with conventional diagnostic tests during one year before Xpert introduction (pre-Xpert group) and patients evaluated using Xpert during one year after the test introduction (post-Xpert group). Results 620 patients met the inclusion criteria (208 in the pre-Xpert group and 412 in the postXpert group) and were included in the analysis. The time until TB diagnosis was shorter in post-Xpert group (0.7 day, IQR: 0.5–1.0 day) than in pre-Xpert group (2.0 days, IQR: 2.0– 2.0 days) (p<0.0001). Atypical disease characteristics, such as less weight loss, fever, dyspnea, night sweats, and hemoptysis; a negative sputum smear; a negative culture, and a chest X-ray atypical of TB were more common in post-Xpert group than in pre-Xpert group (p<0.0001 for all). Conclusions We found that the implementation of the Xpert MTB/RIF assay, under programmatic conditions, improve and facilitate TB diagnosis, especially in cases with atypical disease manifestations. These results are likely to be generalizable to settings with a similar high TB incidence

The objective of this study is to analyze the adults reports with disabilities about the work routine lived in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and describe the work dynamics. This is a qualitative research, with an interpretive and descriptive-exploratory approach. 11 adults with disabilities participated, inserted in the job market. For data collection, it was used a semi-structured interview script. The interviews took place through the Google Meet platform and were recorded, transcribed and revisited by the researchers. The analysis of information were based on content analysis. As results, it was found that the work routine during a pandemic was mostly based on remote work, removal, dismissal, reduction and/or flexibility in working hours, as well as changing the employment relationship. The positive aspects considered during the pandemic in relation to work were flexibility of time, dedication to other tasks, autonomy and independence. As negative aspects it were pointed out digital platforms, communication difficulties, fear of being fired, increase or decrease in service demand and lack of social interaction. It is concluded that there are issues that cross excluding actions, targeting people with disabilities. On the other hand, some reported situations, such as unemployment, represent a reality faced by many Brazilian workers with and without disabilities in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which reflect the capitalist logic in the labor marketEl estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar los relatos de adultos con discapacidad sobre la rutina laboral vivida durante la pandemia de la COVID-19, así como describir posibles cambios en la dinámica de trabajo y concepciones de los entrevistados en los contextos descritos.

Antioxidant adjustments of olive trees (Olea europaea) under field stress conditions

Extreme climate events are increasingly frequent, and the 2017 summer was particularly critical in the Mediterranean region. Olive is one of the most important species of this region, and these climatic events represent a threat to this culture. However, it remains unclear how olive trees adjust the antioxidant enzymatic system and modulate the metabolite profile under field stress con-ditions. Leaves from two distinct adjacent areas of an olive orchard, one dry and the other hydrated, were harvested. Tree water status, oxidative stress, antioxidant enzymes, and phenolic and lipo-philic metabolite profiles were analyzed. The environmental conditions of the 2017 summer caused a water deficit in olive trees of the dry area, and this low leaf water availability was correlated with the reduction of long†chain alkanes and fatty acids. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and superoxide radical (O2•–) levels increased in the trees collected from the dry area, but lipid peroxidation did not augment. The antioxidant response was predominantly marked by guaiacol peroxidase (GPOX) activity that regulates the H2O2 harmful effect and by the action of flavonoids (luteolin†7†O†glucu-ronide) that may act as reactive oxygen species scavengers. Secoiridoids adjustments may also con-tribute to stress regulation. This work highlights for the first time the protective role of some metabolite in olive trees under field drought conditions.Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT, Portugal) and Ministério da Educação e Ciência supported this work through national funds and the co-funding by the FEDER within the PT2020 Partnership Agreement and COMPETE 2010.
