Aplicación online para determinar la relación entre color y emoción

El objetivo de este proyecto se centra en la creación de una herramienta, que permita determinar la capacidad humana de relacionar una gama de colores concreta a una emoción o conjunto de emociones. Es sabido que no todas las personas reaccionan de la misma manera al percibir un color [1], por lo tanto, la herramienta deberá tener en cuenta aspectos extra del usuario, como la región desde donde se hace el experimento o la edad de la persona. Una vez lista la herramienta, la finalidad de esta se centrará en realizar un estudio a gran escala que involucre participantes de todo el mundo, y de esta manera obtener la mayor cantidad de datos reales, para a posteriori, ser utilizados en diversos proyectos que involucren la aplicación de color en diferentes "targets" según región o edad del objetivo.The main objective of this project remains on create a tool that allows the human capacity to relate a specific color range to an emotion or set of emotions. It is known that not all people react in the same way when perceiving a color [1], therefore, the tool should tke into account extra aspects of the user, such as the region from where the experiment is done or the age of the person. Once the tool is listed, its purpose will be carry out a large-scale study involving participants from all over the world, in order to obtain the gratest amount of real data to be used in various projects involving the application of colors in different "targets" according to region or age of the target.L'objectiu d'aquest projecte es centra en la creació d'una eina, que permeti determinar la capacitat humana de relacionar una gamma de colors concreta a una emoció o conjunt d'emocions. Cultura organizacional y el desempeño laboral en la municipalidad provincial de Mariscal Luzuriaga, Ancash-2022

En la investigación se tuvo como propósito Identificar la relación que existe entre la Cultura Organizacional y desempeño laboral en la Municipalidad provincial de Mariscal Luzuriaga, Ancash - 2022, la metodología fue básica, no experimental, transversal, descriptiva y correlacional. La población y la muestra se estableció con 38 trabajadores de la entidad, siendo una muestra censal. Se utilizó la encuesta y el cuestionario para recopilar información del estudio. Los resultados obtenidos por medio del coeficiente de Spearman cuyo valor 0,817, quedando demostrado la relación entre ambas variables. Bio-conversión microbiana del glicerol por microorganismos termotolerantes aislados del noreste de México.

Propósito y Método de Estudio: Utilizar el glicerol considerado como un producto secundario durante la producción del biodiesel, para generar productos con alto valor agregado, mediante la utilización de cepas termotolerantes capaces de llevar a cabo su oxidación a temperaturas elevadas. Actualmente existe una gran cantidad de este subproducto gracias al incremento que han tenido las biorefinerias. Para la obtención de estas cepas se realizó un muestreo en aguas termales de la comunidad de Espinazo NL. Obteniendo 2 cepas de las 14 muestras recolectadas, que crecieron a una temperatura de 60°C. Siendo de gran interés para fermentación que tiene como objetivo utilizar una temperatura de 50°C y llevar a cabo la oxidación del glicerol. Conclusiones y contribuciones: Se logró aislar de aguas termales una cepa que demostró la capacidad de oxidar el glicerol a temperaturas de 50°C y producir Dihidroxiacetona (DHA) durante la fermentación, el producto se identificó por medio de espectrofotometría infrarroja y se logró su cuantificación a través de la utilización de un agente cromogénico. Por otro lado, las cepas se lograron identificar por técnicas moleculares con la amplificación de la secuencia del gen 16s rARN las secuencias se analizaron mediante el programa BLAST donde se comprobó que pertenecen al género Bacillus licheniformis, estas bacterias tienen la capacidad de producir enzimas como proteasas y amilasas con gran actividad a temperaturas de 65°C a 70°C que son de gran interés en la industria para la producción de detergentes. The functional modulation of epigenetic regulators by alternative splicing

<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Epigenetic regulators (histone acetyltransferases, methyltransferases, chromatin-remodelling enzymes, etc) play a fundamental role in the control of gene expression by modifying the local state of chromatin. However, due to their recent discovery, little is yet known about their own regulation. This paper addresses this point, focusing on alternative splicing regulation, a mechanism already known to play an important role in other protein families, e.g. transcription factors, membrane receptors, etc.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>To this end, we compiled the data available on the presence/absence of alternative splicing for a set of 160 different epigenetic regulators, taking advantage of the relatively large amount of unexplored data on alternative splicing available in public databases. We found that 49 % (70 % in human) of these genes express more than one transcript. We then studied their alternative splicing patterns, focusing on those changes affecting the enzyme's domain composition. In general, we found that these sequence changes correspond to different mechanisms, either repressing the enzyme's function (e.g. by creating dominant-negative inhibitors of the functional isoform) or creating isoforms with new functions.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>We conclude that alternative splicing of epigenetic regulators can be an important tool for the function modulation of these enzymes. Considering that the latter control the transcriptional state of large sets of genes, we propose that epigenetic regulation of gene expression is itself strongly regulated by alternative splicing.</p

Context-aware Assessment Using QR-codes

In this paper we present the implementation of a general mechanism to deliver tests based on mobile devices and matrix codes. The system is an extension of Siette, and has not been specifically developed for any subject matter. To evaluate the performance of the system and show some of its capabilities, we have developed a test for a second-year college course on Botany at the School of Forestry Engineering. Students were equipped with iPads and took an outdoor test on plant species identification. All students were able to take and complete the test in a reasonable time. Opinions expressed anonymously by the students in a survey about the usability of the system and the usefulness of the test were very favorable. We think that the application presented in this paper can broaden the applicability of automatic assessment techniques.The presentation of this work has been co-founded by the Universidad de Málaga. Local translation in nervous system pathologies

[EN] Dendrites and axons can extend dozens to hundreds of centimeters away from the cell body so that a single neuron can sense and respond to thousands of stimuli. Thus, for an accurate function of dendrites and axons the neuronal proteome needs to be asymmetrically distributed within neurons. Protein asymmetry can be achieved by the transport of the protein itself or the transport of the mRNA that is then translated at target sites in neuronal processes. The latter transport mechanism implies local translation of localized mRNAs. The role of local translation in nervous system (NS) development and maintenance is well established, but recently there is growing evidence that this mechanism and its deregulation are also relevant in NS pathologies, including neurodegenerative diseases. For instance, upon pathological signals diseaserelated proteins can be locally synthesized in dendrites and axons. Locally synthesized proteins can exert their effects at or close to the site of translation, or they can be delivered to distal compartments like the nucleus and induce transcriptional responses that lead to neurodegeneration, nerve regeneration and other cell-wide responses. Relevant key players in the process of local protein synthesis are RNA binding proteins (RBPs), responsible for mRNA transport to neurites. Several neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or spinal motor atrophy, are characterized by mutations in genes encoding for RBPs and consequently mRNA localization and local translation are impaired. In other diseases changes in the local mRNA repertoire and altered local protein synthesis have been reported.
