The Present and Future of eHealth in Spain From a Health Management Perspective
eHealth has grown significantly over the last decade. The aim of this study was to determine the level of use of information and communication technologies for health care in Spain and identify the main barriers to development. We used a qualitative study based on data obtained from 8 Spanish autonomous communities through semi-structured, in-depth interviews with key informants in eHealth management and planning. Programs present varying degrees of implementation. Services such as electronic prescriptions, digital medical records, and appointment requests via the Internet are advanced and widespread; others, such as digital imaging, are advanced but not fully deployed; and some, such as telecare programs, are experimental. The study also revealed diverse levels of interoperability and barriers to the expansion of these technologies, which can be classified into 4 fields: technological, organizational, human, and economic. eHealth might evolve more slowly in the coming years. Unless the payoff is clearly seen, major budget cuts in the current economic climate will prevent the implementation of new projects. Programs that help reduce health spending are more likely to be implemented, to the detriment of projects involving simple techniques or even clear health care improvements. The author(s) have received financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article as part of the activities included in the research project: “Brecha digital e inhibidores en la implementación del e-Gobierno. Existence of a positive solution for a singular system
We show the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions to a system
of singular elliptic equations with Dirichlet boundary condition. This system arises in studies of pattern formation in biology and in the activator-inhibitor model proposed by Gierer-Meinhardt.Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (Brasil)Ministerio de Educación y Cienci
Inhalable spray-dried chondroitin sulphate microparticles: effect of different solvents on particle properties and drug activity
Spray-drying stands as one of the most used techniques to produce inhalable microparticles, but several parameters from both the process and the used materials affect the properties of the resulting microparticles. In this work, we describe the production of drug-loaded chondroitin sulphate microparticles by spray-drying, testing the effect of using different solvents during the process. Full characterisation of the polymer and of the aerodynamic properties of the obtained microparticles are provided envisaging an application in inhalable tuberculosis therapy. The spray-dried microparticles successfully associated two first-line antitubercular drugs (isoniazid and rifabutin) with satisfactory production yield (up to 85%) and drug association efficiency (60%-95%). Ethanol and HCl were tested as co-solvents to aid the solubilisation of rifabutin and microparticles produced with the former generally revealed the best features, presenting a better ability to sustainably release rifabutin. Moreover, these presented aerodynamic properties compatible with deep lung deposition, with an aerodynamic diameter around 4 μm and fine particle fraction of approximately 44%. Finally, it was further demonstrated that the antitubercular activity of the drugs remained unchanged after encapsulation independently of the used solvent.UID/Multi/04326/2019; SFRH/BD/52426/2013; ED481B 2018/071info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Early stages of the roman occupation of Lagos, Portugal, from a Julian-Claudian ceramic context
I, profundizar y esclarecer dichas cuestiones. Además, el conjunto cerámico del pozo
se postula como un auténtico “contexto de referencia” para el
comercio en la región durante los cuartos centrales del s. I d.C.In recent years, as a result of the ongoing urban
development at Lagos, a significant number of rescue excavations have been carried out in the historic centre. New discoveries dating back to Roman times have been made in connection with fish salting factories on the city shores, mainly
concentrated along 25 de Abril street and Silva Lopes street.
Some historical and archaeological questions related to the
dimensions of this industrial area, its productive rhythms and,
especially, the starting date of salt fishing activities are still
elusive. However, at least the last issue can be partially clarified thanks to the archaeological excavation at number 72-78
of 25 de Abril street, which has provided an exceptional ceramic context from a well dated period back in the middle of
the 1st century. In addition to that, this ceramic set can be regarded as an authentic “reference context” for trade in the region during the central years of the 1st century A.D
Public marketing and university marketing : the orientation of universities towards the satisfaction of demand for knowledge from society
The notion of public marketing arises in the 20th century and establishes an exchange between
State and Society. The Public Administration designs programs, goods and services and, as a
counterpart, citizens provide support through taxes and travel, time and opportunity costs.
University Marketing proposes an exchange between universities and students in order to
satisfy the demands for knowledge and for professional-technical training. The subject under
consideration in this proposal is the satisfaction of public needs through public marketing and,
within this context, the University marketing and the social demands for knowledge.Fil: Da Viá, Ana.

On real-analytic Levi-flat hypersurfaces and holomorphic webs
We investigate holomorphic webs tangent to real-analytic Levi-flat
hypersurfaces on compact complex surfaces. Under certain conditions, we prove
that a holomorphic web tangent to a real-analytic Levi-flat hypersurface admits
a multiple-valued meromorphic first integral. We also prove that the Levi
foliation of a Levi-flat hypersurface induced by an irreducible real-analytic
curve in the Grassmannian extends to an algebraic web on the complex
projective space.Comment: 19 page

The Effective Lorentzian and Teleparallel Spacetimes Generated by a Free Electromagnetic Field
In this paper we show that a free electromagnetic field living in Minkowski
spacetime generates an effective Weitzenbock or an effective Lorentzian
spacetime whose properties aredetermined in details. These results are possible
because we found using the Clifford bundle formalism the noticeable result that
the energy-momentum densities of a free electromagnetic field are sources of
the Hodge duals of exact 2-form fields which satisfy Maxwell like equations.Comment: A missing term in Eq.(14) has been inserted and some misprints
