The housing market is an important part of the economy and stays with her in close connection. On the one hand, affects macroeconomic variables by participating in the creation of gross domestic product (GDP), the share of the resource (national wealth), creating jobs, providing tax revenues, or providing the opportunity to unfreeze the capital. On the other hand, the phenomena and processes occurring in the economy can affect stimulating or inhibiting effect on the development of the housing market, in particular by: changes in interest rates on loans, changes in demand for surface or changes in the attractiveness of other capital investments. The publication is devoted to the issues of the impact of the economic crisis (started in Poland in 2009) on the housing market in Poland. The main objective of this paper is to examine the dynamics of downward trends in the residential property prices exemplified by a medium-size city. A hypothesis is made that the dynamics of the decline of residential property prices in the times of crisis is much poorer in medium-size cities than in large urban agglomeration. The study covers the quarters of 7.5 years between 2009 and 2016 (I. half) – 30 quarters. The findings of the study on the residential property market in Koszalin are presented in reference to the data on residential property markets in 17 Polish largest cities. presented the results of analyzes are part of the research conducted by the authors on the real estate market and its functioning

How Do High and Low Burnout Students Cope with Stressful Situations? Examining Associations Between Coping Mechanism and School Burnout Syndrome

    Get PDF
Previous studies confirmed that maladaptive coping strategies are strongly connected to job burnout. However, little is known about the association between coping strategies and student burnout and the differences between high and low burnout adolescents in the frequency of using them. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between strategies of coping with stress and school burnout among Polish high school students. 230 adolescents from Poland (25.7% boys) aged 17–20 (M = 18.25, SD = 0.45) participated in the study. The Polish version of SSBS scale for assessment of the level of school burnout and the Brief Cope Inventory were used. School burnout was significantly associated with lower level of problem-focused coping strategies and higher level of emotion-focused maladaptive coping strategies. Statisticalanalysis confirmed the significant differences in the frequency of using maladaptive coping strategies between high and low burnout students. Regression analysis revealed that lower positive reframing and higher self-blame were the strongest predictors of school burnoutlevel. In the final regression model, 17% of variances in SSBS total score was explained by such coping strategies as: positive reframing, turning to religion, searching for emotional support and denial and venting. We confirmed the significant role of maladaptive coping strategies inincreasing burnout among young people. The findings also indicated that in preventing high school students’ burnout, more attention should be paid to enhancement of problem-focused coping strategies such as positive reframing, turning to religion and emotional support

Design Complexity for Objective Function Points

This paper investigates correlating the basic elements of Unified Modeling Language and Cyclomatic Complexity with Function Point Analysis (FPA) principles to develop an automated software functional sizing tool. This concept has been difficult to achieve due to the logical nature of the FPA sizing methodology versus the physical nature of source lines of code (SLOC). In this approach, we examine software complexity from design and maintainability perspectives in order to understand relationships in physical code. Our hypothesis is that this method will 201C;simulate201D; FPA principles and produce an objective sizing method. This would provide the foundation for an automated tool that scans physical software code to derive 201C;Objective Function Points201D; (OFPs) functional size measur

Osoba po przeszczepieniu narządu doświadczająca jakości życia – jako przedmiot zainteresowań pedagogów

Pedagogy has been recently becoming more and more interdisciplinary, deriving from achievements of others humanities. In modern, complicated world it could be rather impossible not to bene t from such advantage, as it would push aside pedagogy and others elds of knowledge to margin, falling it back rather than giving them prospect of growth. That is why issue of organ transplantation, for instance, although it seems stricte medical problem, now expands area of pedagogy interests. It concerns all the situations having signi cance in experiencing quality of life by the pedagogical entities, so pupils in each age. This text is based on description of experiencing life’s quality of one person, living thanks to liver transplantation. It had been 10 years after surgery when Zygmunt was giving me interview. I hold a second conversation with him, as earlier he had been exchanging with me his experiencing quality of life. For the rst time I met my interlocutor in September 2001, at that moment, he had been only three months after transplantation. Experiencing day–to day–reality of family, work, seeing with medical personnel during necessary consultation, this time were important for me. As a scientist I was interested also in changes that had been emerging and still appears in the context of quality life experiencing, from that moment when we had a rst conversation. Feeling of life sense, recognized values were signi cant for me. Quality analysis, having attributes of phenomenological description of experiencing Zygmunt’s quality life is often supplementing by medical, legal, ethical and religious data. I have done this, so that to in abbreviated way expose issues, shaping new research elds and new areas of educators’ activities in the context of transplantation. Zygmunt’s narrative is individual and for that reason it is not justi ed to make generalized conclusions. In the last part of text I am taking up e orts to justify signi cance of discussed issue (experiencing quality of life after transplantation)

Development of comprehensive river typology based on macrophytes in the mountain-lowland gradient of different Central European ecoregions

The aim of the study was to identify the vegetation pattern in the different types of watercourses basing on survey in reference conditions in a wide geographical gradient, including mountain, upland and lowland rivers. We tested relationship between composition of macrophytes to environmental variables including: altitude, slope, catchment area, geology of valley, land use, hydromorphological sfeatures, water physical and chemical measurements. Analysis based on 109 pristine river sites located throughout major types of rivers in Central Europe. Qualitative and quantitative plant surveys were carried out between 2005 and 2013. Based on TWINSPAN classification and DCA analysis, six macrophyte types were distinguished. The lowland sites were divided into the following three types: humic rivers and two types of siliceous rivers depending on the catchment area, including medium-large and small rivers. The mountain and upland rivers were divided into three geological types: siliceous, calcareous and gravel. We found that the variation of macrophyte communities was determined by several habitat factors (mainly altitude, flow type, riverbed granulometry, conductivity and alkalinity), whereas the spatial factor was rather limited; further, the plant diversity was not reflected accurately by the European ecoregion approach
