Study on a standard for grounding systems realization
Grounding systems of objects inside power facilities are very often realized
as structures consisting of protective electrodes’ system placed in the
object foundation, and neutral electrodes’ system placed at a specified
distance from the object. Official standards and publications recommend a
minimal value for the distance between the protective and the neutral part of
grounding structures, so that the influence of one on another can be
neglected. We analyze several practical implementations of grounding
structures and demonstrate that the minimal distance is actually much smaller
than that recommended by the standards
Prilog modelovanju uzemljivačkih sistema u prisustvu polusferične i cilindrične nehomogenosti tla
The influence of the semi-spherically and cylindrically shaped inhomogeneity on grounding systems in quasi-stationary regime is analyzed in this Ph. D. Thesis.Such inhomogeneities are present in practice and that is the reason for importance of estimating their influence on grounding systems.
These systems are significant part of many technical-technology systems, power facilities, telecommunication systems or lightning protection systems.
According to the author's best knowledge, not too many of papers had semi-apherical or cylindrical inhomogeneities as an object of research, especially with the approach applied in this paper, although there have been plenty of works published in previous decades dealing with grounding systems'analysis
Application of hybrid boundary element method: Example of semishperical ground inhomogeneity
One new, so-called hybrid boundary element method (HBEM) is presented in this
paper. It is a recently proposed numerical method for stationary and
quasi-stationary EM field analysis. The method application is illustrated on
the example of solving the problem of modelling hemispherical ground
inhomogeneity influence on grounding system. The applied procedure also
includes using of quasi-stationary image-theory. The obtained results are
compared with those ones based on using the Green’s function for the point
source inside semi-spherical inhomogeneities as well as with the results
obtained by applying COMSOL program package. [TR 33008
Application of Hybrid Boundary Element Method on Modelling of Hemispherical Ground Inhomogeneity
The procedure for modelling ground
inhomogeneity influence on grounding system based on socalled
hybrid boundary element method (HBEM) is given in
this paper. The HBEM is a recently proposed numerical
method for stationary or quasi-stationary EM field analysis.
The obtained results are compared with those based on using
the Green’s function for the point source inside a semispherical
inhomogeneity
