    Los cómics son parte integral de la vida cultural de los jóvenes. Con millones de ejemplares, la serie de publicaciones Los Pitufos es mundialmente conocida. Pero, ¿qué mensajes envían estas publicaciones a la juventud? Es necesario preguntarse sobre la representación del deporte dentro de esta serie. Más aún, es importante analizar la imagen del dopaje que estas publicaciones transmiten. Este trabajo expone los resultados del estudio del famoso volumen Los Pitufos Olímpicos que, con impresionantes resultados comerciales, ve la luz en 1983, algunos meses antes del comienzo de los Juegos Olímpicos de Los Ángeles. Por un lado, interpretando los efectos cómicos explotados por este cómic, el presente artículo pone de manifiesto la existencia de una crítica generalizada del fenómeno deportivo y del Olimpismo que podría revelarse concordante con la manera en la que las jóvenes generaciones de los años 80 aprehenden las prácticas competitivas. Por otro lado, el estudio revela que este volumen logra satisfacer tanto los intentos fogosos y críticos de la impertinente juventud como las demandas institucionales simbolizadas por la censura ministerial y parental preocupada por la paz social. Dicho de otro modo, este cómic tendría el ingenioso mérito de lograr la hazaña de aniquilar esta oposición generacional enviando un discurso crítico respecto al deporte adornado de un mensaje educativo y optimista

    The influence of poly (2-methoxyaniline-5-sulfonic acid) on the electrochemical and photochemical properties of a highly luminescent ruthenium complex

    Immobilisation of a luminescent material on an electrode surface is well known to substantially modulate its photophysical and electrochemical properties. Here a positively charged ruthenium metal complex ([Ru(bpy)(3)](2+)) is immobilised on all electrode surface by ion paring with a sulfonated conducting polymer poly(2-methoxyaniline-5-sulfonic acid), (PMAS). Significantly, our study reveals that the electron transport between the ruthenium metal centres can be greatly enhanced due to the interaction with the conducting polymer when both are surface confined. Charge transfer diffusion rates in the present system are an order of magnitude faster than those found where the metal centre is immobilised within a non-conducting polymeric matrix. Electron transport appears to be mediated through the PMAS conjugated structure, contrasting with the electron hopping process typically observed in non-conducting metallopolymers. This increased regeneration rate causes the ruthenium-based electrochemiluminescence (ECL) efficiency to be increased. The impact of these observations on the ECL detection of low concentrations of disease biomarkers is discussed. (c) 2007 Published by Elsevier Ltd

    Diffusion of Japanese Sports Anime in France: Assessment and Review of Issues

    In the late 1980s and during the 1990s, in France, Japanese sports-themed animated films were very popular among French children, to such an extent that French youth enrolments in certain sports clubs significantly increased. This phenomenon occurred in spite of the substantial differences between Japanese and French sport cultures; for example in Japan, sports are considered as a way of practicing discipline, while in France it is viewed as a recreational activity. This article examines our quantitative analysis of sports-themed animated films produced in Japan and assesses the impact of these animated films broadcast in France. Further, we will evaluate previous works on this topic with the aim of proposing new approaches for future academic projects.要旨1980 年代後半から 1990 年代にかけて、フランスでは日本のスポーツアニメが子供たちの間で絶大な人気を博した。しかし、日本とフランスでは異なる スポーツ文化の価値観を有しており、例えば、日本では部活に代表されるような「精神鍛錬」の要素を含むのに対し、フランスでは「娯楽活動」の一環としてスポーツを楽しむ。日本とフランスのスポーツ文化にはこのような対立構図がとられるにも関わらず、またスポーツアニメにはこうした日本独自のスポーツ文化・イデオロギーが色濃く反映されているにも関わらず、フランスで日本のスポーツアニメが受け入れられ人気を博したのはなぜか。本稿は、身体を拠り所にした日本の文化が異文化として伝播した際、どのように解釈され変容していくのかを分析する日仏共同研究プロジェクトの端緒となるものであり、先行研究を再検討するとともに、新たな研究アプローチの提案を試みる

    A Poly(cobaloxime)/Carbon Nanotube Electrode: Freestanding Buckypaper with Polymer-Enhanced H2-Evolution Performance.

    A freestanding H2-evolution electrode consisting of a copolymer-embedded cobaloxime integrated into a multiwall carbon nanotube matrix by π-π interactions is reported. This electrode is straightforward to assemble and displays high activity towards hydrogen evolution in near-neutral pH solution under inert and aerobic conditions, with a cobalt-based turnover number (TON(Co)) of up to 420. An analogous electrode with a monomeric cobaloxime showed less activity with a TON(Co) of only 80. These results suggest that, in addition to the high surface area of the porous network of the buckypaper, the polymeric scaffold provides a stabilizing environment to the catalyst, leading to further enhancement in catalytic performance.
