Does technical analysis generate profitability in the colombian stock market?

25 páginas.In this study, we test for the weak market efficiency hypothesis in the Colombian stock market through two technical analysis strategies, Simple Moving Averages and Moving Average Convergence and Divergence, on eighteen stocks that have been part for a longer period of time in the COLCAP index. By simulating buy and sell positions under each strategy, it is found that none the strategies generate returns higher than the passive strategy obtained using the Capital Asset Pricing Model, besides, the returns obtained from the strategies are negative. In this sense, these technical analysis strategies are not profitable on the Colombian stock market. ​

Propuesta de plan de mejoramiento del clima organizacional de Inmobiliaria e Inversiones SanSteShi S.A.S., para el año 2021

El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo de estudio el presentar una propuesta de plan de mejoramiento al clima organizacional de Inmobiliaria e Inversiones SanSteShi S.A.S., para el año 2021, para lo cual se analizará la situación actual de la empresa, identificando falencias y/o carencias relacionadas con el clima organizacional, y así precisar las necesidades de la misma y del personal en lo que respecta a este factor, y finalmente poder definir las alternativas que den solución a las problemáticas y necesidades denotada. Para lograrlo, se realizaron encuestas a los empleados actuales de la empresa, donde se estableció como población a todos sus empleados actuales (es decir 40), dado que después de haber hallado la muestra, se obtuvo que se debía aplicar 23 encuestas a 23 empleados de Inmobiliaria e Inversiones SanSteShi S.A.S., obteniendo así la información y datos necesarios para el desarrollo del plan de mejoramiento y lograr los objetivos planteados. Continuamente, se alude que los resultados obtenidos fueron el conocer la posición y opinión de los empleados con relación a diferentes factores y elementos que influyen y se interrelacionan con el clima organizacional de la empresa, donde se pudo comprender en que le falta mejorar y/o realizar cambios a Inmobiliaria e Inversiones SanSteShi S.A.S., para que el clima organizacional dentro de sí sea el más optimo, y de esa forma plantear un plan de mejoramiento adecuado a las necesidades de su personal, y lograr así mejorar la integración, comunicación, motivación, rendimiento y productividad de todo el personal.The objective of this research project is to present a proposal for an improvement plan to the organizational climate of Inmobiliaria e Inversiones SanSteShi S.A.S., for the year 2021, for which the current situation of the company will be analyzed, identifying shortcomings and / or deficiencies related to the organizational climate, and thus specify the needs of the organization and the staff with regard to this factor, and finally be able to define the alternatives that provide a solution to the problems and needs indicated. To achieve this, surveys were conducted on current employees of the company, where all current employees (that is, 40) were established as the population, since after having found the sample, it was obtained that 23 surveys should be applied to 23 employees of Inmobiliaria e Inversiones SanSteShi S.A.S, thus obtaining the information and data necessary for the development of the improvement plan and achieving the objectives set. Continuously, it is alluded that the results obtained were knowing the position and opinion of the employees in relation to different factors and elements that influence and interrelate with the organizational climate of the company, where it was possible to understand where it needs to improve and/or make changes to Inmobiliaria e Inversiones SanSteShi S.A.S., so that the organizational climate within itself is the most optimal, and thus propose an improvement plan appropriate to the needs of its staff, and thus achieve better integration, communication, motivation, performance and productivity of all staff

The GALFA-HI Survey: Data Release 1

We present the Galactic Arecibo L-Band Feed Array HI (GALFA-HI) survey, and its first full data release (DR1). GALFA-HI is a high resolution (~ 4'), large area (13000 deg^2), high spectral resolution (0.18 km/s), wide band (-700 < v_LSR < +700 km/s) survey of the Galactic interstellar medium in the 21-cm line hyperfine transition of neutral hydrogen conducted at Arecibo Observatory. Typical noise levels are 80 mK RMS in an integrated 1 km/s channel. GALFA-HI is a dramatic step forward in high-resolution, large-area Galactic HI surveys, and we compare GALFA-HI to past, present, and future Galactic HI surveys. We describe in detail new techniques we have developed to reduce these data in the presence of fixed pattern noise, gain variation, and inconsistent beam shapes, and we show how we have largely mitigated these effects. We present our first full data release, covering 7520 square degrees of sky and representing 3046 hours of integration time, and discuss the details of these data.Comment: Accepted to the ApJ

A spherical mechanism is defined as the one in which each movable link rotates with respect to a common stationary point, any point on the link is confined to move in a spherical surface, and all spherical surfaces of the movement are concentric. In this paper the analysis of the movable spherical mechanism 4R is  presented considering, besides the mobility of the link entering and exiting the mobility of the coupler link regarding the linkage entrance with regards to the linkage exit. From this analysis the conditions of mobility of the mechanism was derived and are presented in mobility diagrams and from the same analysis was obtained the conditions for global mobility that allow the identification in a simple way, the type of mobility that each link will have, with only the dimensions of the mechanism. Un mecanismo esférico se define como aquel en el que cada eslabón móvil rota respecto a un punto estacionario común, cualquier punto sobre el eslabón está restringido a moverse en una superficie esférica, y todas las superficies esféricas del movimiento son concéntricas. En este trabajo se presenta el análisis de movilidad del mecanismo esférico 4R considerando, además de la movilidad del eslabón de entrada y de salida, la movilidad del eslabón acoplador respecto al eslabón de entrada y respecto al eslabón de salida. De este análisis se derivan las condiciones de movilidad del mecanismo las cuales se presentan en diagramas de movilidad, y de este mismo análisis se obtuvieron las condiciones de movilidad global que permiten identificar de una manera sencilla, el tipo de movimiento que tendrá cada eslabón, sólo con conocer las dimensiones del mecanismo. </span

Spatio-Temporal Variability of Chlorophyll-A and Environmental Variables in the Panama Bight

The analysis of synoptic satellite data of total chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) and the environmental drivers that influence nutrient and light availability for phytoplankton growth allows us to understand the spatio-temporal variability of phytoplankton biomass. In the Panama Bight Tropical region (PB; 1&ndash;9&deg;N, 79&ndash;84&deg;W), the spatial distribution of Chl-a is mostly related to the seasonal wind patterns and the intensity of localized upwelling centers. However, the association between the Chl-a and different physical variables and nutrient availability is still not fully assessed. In this study, we evaluate the relationship between the Chl-a and multiple physical (wind, Ekman pumping, geostrophic circulation, mixed layer depth, sea level anomalies, river discharges, sea surface temperature, and photosynthetically available radiation) and chemical (nutrients) drivers in order to explain the spatio-temporal Chl-a variability in the PB. We used satellite data of Chl-a and physical variables, and a re-analysis of a biogeochemical product for nutrients (2002&ndash;2016). Our results show that at the regional scale, the Chl-a varies seasonally in response to the wind forcing and sea surface temperature. However, in the coastal areas (mainly Gulf of Panama and off central-southern Colombia), the maximum non-seasonal Chl-a values are found in association with the availability of nutrients by river discharges, localized upwelling centers and the geostrophic circulation field. From this study, we infer that the interplay among these physical-chemical drivers is crucial for supporting the phytoplankton growth and the high biodiversity of the PB region
