Eğitimde Sosyal Adalet Liderliği ile Okul Aidiyet Duygusu Arasındaki İlişki: Kanonik Korelasyon Analizi
The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between the high school students' perceptions of their school principals' social justice leadership and their sense of school belonging. The sample of the research consists of 264 students studying at high schools in Denizli and Manisa, two medium-sized cities in the Aegean Region. “Social Justice Leadership Scale (SJLS)” developed by Özdemir and Kütküt (2015) and “School Belonging Scale (SBS)” developed by Goodenow (1993) and adapted into Turkish by Sarı (2013) were used for data collection. As a result of the research, which employs the correlational survey model, it was determined that high school students felt a moderate level of school belonging and had a moderate perception of school principals' social justice leadership. As a result of the canonical correlation analysis, it was determined that the school belonging, and social justice leadership data sets shared a variance of approximately 60%. It has been determined that there is a positive relationship between the variables of support, participation and critical consciousness in the social justice leadership data set and the sense of belonging and sense of rejection variables in the sense of school belonging data set.

Amyloid inspired self-assembled peptide nanofibers
Amyloid peptides are important components in many degenerative diseases as well as in maintaining cellular metabolism. Their unique stable structure provides new insights in developing new materials. Designing bioinspired self-assembling peptides is essential to generate new forms of hierarchical nanostructures. Here we present oppositely charged amyloid inspired peptides (AIPs), which rapidly self-assemble into nanofibers at pH 7 upon mixing in water caused by noncovalent interactions. Mechanical properties of the gels formed by self-assembled AIP nanofibers were analyzed with oscillatory rheology. AIP gels exhibited strong mechanical characteristics superior to gels formed by self-assembly of previously reported synthetic short peptides. Rheological studies of gels composed of oppositely charged mixed AIP molecules (AIP-1 + 2) revealed superior mechanical stability compared to individual peptide networks (AIP-1 and AIP-2) formed by neutralization of net charges through pH change. Adhesion and elasticity properties of AIP mixed nanofibers and charge neutralized AIP-1, AIP-2 nanofibers were analyzed by high resolution force-distance mapping using atomic force microscopy (AFM). Nanomechanical characterization of self-assembled AIP-1 + 2, AIP-1, and AIP-2 nanofibers also confirmed macroscopic rheology results, and mechanical stability of AIP mixed nanofibers was higher compared to individual AIP-1 and AIP-2 nanofibers self-assembled at acidic and basic pH, respectively. Experimental results were supported with molecular dynamics simulations by considering potential noncovalent interactions between the amino acid residues and possible aggregate forms. In addition, HUVEC cells were cultured on AIP mixed nanofibers at pH 7 and biocompatibility and collagen mimetic scaffold properties of the nanofibrous system were observed. Encapsulation of a zwitterionic dye (rhodamine B) within AIP nanofiber network was accomplished at physiological conditions to demonstrate that this network can be utilized for inclusion of soluble factors as a scaffold for cell culture studies. © 2012 American Chemical Society

The diversity of the genus Aricidea (Polychaeta: Paraonidae) from the Sea of Marmara, with descriptions of two new species and two new records for the Mediterranean fauna
This paper reports 13 Aricidea species from the Sea of Mannara. the Aricidea specimens were collected at 98 stations in the region in 2012 and 2013 from soft and hard substrata at depths ranging from 0 to 1200 in. Among the material, two new species, namely Aricidea (Acmira) katzmanni n. sp. and Aricidea (Acmira) pseudoassimilis n. sp., and 11 known species were discovered. Aricidea mirunekoa and A. bulbosa are new records for the Mediterranean fauna; A. (Acmira) annae and A. (Aricidea) wassi are new records for the Sea of Marmara. Aricidea (Acmira) katzmanni n. sp. is characterized by having a long, digitiform antenna; no notopodial papillae on the posterior part of the branchial region; and hook shaped modified neurochaetac with a strong hood and fragile arista. Aricidea (Acmira) pseudoassimilis n. sp. is characterized by having a short, digitiform antenna; interramal lobes between notopodia and neuropodia; hookshaped modified neurochaeta that gets subterminally thinner with a rounded tip. As A. (Strelzovia) bulbosa has been only previously reported from the Gulf of Suez (Red Sea), it could be a new alien species for the Sea of Marmara and Mediterranean Sca. Based on the characters that have been overlooked so far, the subspecies A. suecica meridionalis and A. capensis bansei were raised to species level, A. meridionalis n. stat. and A. bansei n. stat. the present paper reports the usage of ciliary bands and slits on the prostomium and body, swellings/ridges in the branchial region, and the shape and distribution of sense organs in the taxonomy of Aricidea. All species were described and figured.TUBITAK ProjectTurkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Arastirma Kurumu (TUBITAK) [111Y268]Authors are indebted to colleagues in the Benthology Laboratory for their help in collecting and sorting the benthic material; and to the crews of the R/V Yunus S for their help in collecting the material. The genus Paradoneis (Annelida: Paraonidae) from the Sea of Marmara, with descriptions of two new species
ERDOGAN-DERELI, Deniz/0000-0003-2754-8378WOS: 000490707000002PubMed: 31719468The present study deals with the diversity of the genus Paradoneis (Annelida: Paraonidae) from the Sea of Marmara. Examination of materials collected from various soft and hard substrata from depths between 10 and 1200 m in the region revealed the presence of four species, among which one was already known from the region (P. ilvana), one was a new record for the Sea of Marmara (P. armata) and other two (P. heterochaeta n. sp. and P. longifurcata n. sp.) were new to science. Paradoneis heterochaeta n. sp. is characterized mainly by having a proportionately large size, by its pigmentation on the body, by bearing minute notopodial postchaetal lobes and by possessing two types of lyrate chaetae. Paradoneis longifurcata n. sp. is mainly characterized by having weakly jointed notopodial postchaetal lobes and lyrate chaetae with the long branch being up to 4.5 times longer than the short branch. All species found in the area are described and discussed.TUBITAK ProjectTurkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Arastirma Kurumu (TUBITAK) [111Y268]Authors are indebted to colleagues in the Benthology Laboratory for their help in collecting and sorting the benthic material; and to the crews of the R/V Yunus S for their help in collecting the material.
