La violencia intrafamiliar en el desempeño laboral de las mujeres en el sector textil-confección

El objetivo principal de la investigación fue conocer los factores que se derivan de la violencia intrafamiliar y la incidencia en la productividad laboral en empresas del sector textil confección. Inicialmente, se realizó una revisión de la literatura, para luego desarrollar el proyecto investigativo bajo el paradigma interpretativo, haciendo énfasis, en identificar cómo el fenómeno de la violencia intrafamiliar impacta el desempeño laboral de las trabajadoras de este tipo de empresas. La metodología fue cualitativa, con un diseño transversal, y se utilizó la técnica de recolección de información por medio de un grupo focal y una entrevista semiestructurada con preguntas orientadoras. En los resultados se pudo constatar que la violencia intrafamiliar es un factor que incide en el bajo nivel de desempeño y productividad de las trabajadoras; donde el desempeño laboral se ve afectado por esta situación impactando la baja calidad en el trabajo. Así mismo, se estableció que las organizaciones no cuentan con una ruta de atención que ofrezca apoyo a las mujeres víctimas de la violencia intrafamiliar

Factores de la violencia intrafamiliar en el género femenino: análisis comparativo en tres ciudades de Colombia

Objetivo. Identificar los factores generados por la violencia intrafamiliar en empleadas del sector textil confección, mayores de edad, de tres ciudades colombianas Medellín, Bogotá y Manizales. Metodología. La investigación fue de corte cualitativo, no experimental, descriptivo. Por medio de un análisis comparativo, tomando como muestra a 8 mujeres que participaron de manera voluntaria en una entrevista semiestructurada, se permitió generar unas categorías y subcategorías para luego realizar la codificación axial y establecer las relaciones sobre cada uno de los factores. Resultados y conclusiones. Dentro de los hallazgos encontrados aparece que de la violencia intrafamiliar se derivan situaciones familiares que conllevan diversos problemas en la estructura y el desarrollo familiar. En cada ciudad se logró unificar los factores que presentan relación directa con el objeto de estudio, el fenómeno de la violencia se presenta de forma muy uniforme en las tres ciudades y en cada una de las mujeres entrevistadas

RESUMEN: El libro "Huellas y devenir contable", tiene como objetivo desarrollar una aproximación al estado del arte en las líneas de investigación del Grupo GICCO del Departamento de Ciencias Contables de la Universidad de Antioquia. Clonal chromosomal mosaicism and loss of chromosome Y in elderly men increase vulnerability for SARS-CoV-2

The pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19) had an estimated overall case fatality ratio of 1.38% (pre-vaccination), being 53% higher in males and increasing exponentially with age. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, we found 133 cases (1.42%) with detectable clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations (mCA) and 226 males (5.08%) with acquired loss of chromosome Y (LOY). Individuals with clonal mosaic events (mCA and/or LOY) showed a 54% increase in the risk of COVID-19 lethality. LOY is associated with transcriptomic biomarkers of immune dysfunction, pro-coagulation activity and cardiovascular risk. Interferon-induced genes involved in the initial immune response to SARS-CoV-2 are also down-regulated in LOY. Thus, mCA and LOY underlie at least part of the sex-biased severity and mortality of COVID-19 in aging patients. Given its potential therapeutic and prognostic relevance, evaluation of clonal mosaicism should be implemented as biomarker of COVID-19 severity in elderly people. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, individuals with clonal mosaic events (clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations and/or loss of chromosome Y) showed an increased risk of COVID-19 lethality

The main objective of the research was to know the factors that are derived from intrafamily violence and the incidence of labor productivity in companies in the textile clothing industry. Initially, a review of the literature was made, to then develop the research project under the interpretive paradigm, emphasizing, in identifying how the phenomenon of intrafamily violence impacts the work performance of workers of this type of companies. The methodology was a qualitative approach, a cross-sectional design, and the technique of gathering information was used through a focus group and a semi-structured interview with guiding questions. In the results obtained, it was found that intrafamily violence is a factor that affects the low level of performance and productivity in workers; where the work performance is affected by this situation having impact on the low quality at work. Environmental Life Cycle Analysis of Açaí (<i>Euterpe oleracea</i>) Powders Obtained via Two Drying Methods

Açaí is a fruit native to Brazil that is found in Colombia, and it is recognized for containing more than 90 compounds with anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and other biological activities. In this study, a cradle-to-gate life cycle analysis (LCA) was conducted for the production of açaí powder, following the methodology outlined in the ISO 14040 standard. The investigation focused on examining the impact of utilizing or not utilizing the residues generated during the pulp extraction step as fertilizers. Four scenarios were analyzed and compared: (i) production of açaí powder via vacuum drying, (ii) via spray drying, and via the same two types of drying but using residues from the pulping operation as fertilizer (Scenarios 3 and 4). It was found that to produce 1 kg of açaí in a crop cycle, 1.17 kg of CO2 eq is produced. The drying stage in Scenarios 1 and 2 generated 8.04 and 7.93 kg of CO2 eq, respectively. Similarly, when solid waste is used as fertilizer, CO2 emissions barely increased for Scenarios 3 and 4, respectively. To the authors’ knowledge, this is the first carbon footprint study of the production of açaí powder whit these scenarios
