Metagenome-assembled genome sequences of three uncultured planktomarina sp. strains from the Northeast Atlantic Ocean

We report three metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) of Planktomarina strains from coastal seawater (Portugal) to help illuminate the functions of understudied Rhodobacteraceae bacteria in marine environments. Tourism and management of public investments: an analysis of the tourist regions of Rio Grande do Norte – Brazil 2003/2016

A gestão e a eficiência no uso dos recursos públicos têm ganhado destaque nas últimas décadas, configurando atualmente um dos principais pontos de reivindicação social. Neste sentido, toda ação governamental em área de interesse social e econômica tende a ser questionada e, na perspectiva do turismo, essa prática não é uma exceção. Em 2019, o Ministério do Turismo (MTur) completou mais de 15 anos de atuação e passou a conceber políticas de longo prazo, tendo como meta o desenvolvimento regional, a distribuição de renda e o aumento da oferta de oportunidades econômicas. Sendo assim, o trabalho objetiva analisar os investimentos públicos do MTur nas regiões turísticas do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (RN), procurando contribuir para a discussão de orçamento público, eficiência e desenvolvimento do turismo. O estudo apresenta uma abordagem quantitativa atrelada a fins descritivos, com o uso de estatísticas básicas, tendo como fonte principal para análise de dados o Sistema de Contratos de Repasse (SIACOR) do Ministério. Dentre os principais resultados, revela-se que existe uma seletividade espacial dos investimentos públicos que priorizam determinados municípios em relação a outros. Além disso, parte considerável dos recursos está concentrada em obras de urbanização e infraestrutura, mas, em contrapartida, constataram-se poucas ações no que se refere à gestão para promoção da atividade nas regiões turísticas. Por fim, verificou-se que há um nível considerável de investimentos sendo feito sem um direcionamento técnico, o que impossibilita, em muitos casos, ações que possam potencializar o turismo. Além disso, identifica-se uma ineficiência na aplicação dos recursos, pois muitos contratos de repasse não são aplicados.Management and efficiency in the use of public resources has gained prominence in recent decades, and is now one of the main areas of social demand. Thus, any government action in an area of social and economic interest tends to be questioned, and tourism is no exception. In 2019, the Ministry of Tourism (MTur) completed more than fifteen years in operation and began to draw up long-term policies aimed at regional development, income distribution, and increased economic opportunities. This work aims to analyze the public investments of MTur in the tourism regions of the state of Rio Grande do Norte (RN), seeking to contribute to the discussion on the public budget, efficiency and development of tourism. It presents a quantitative approach linked to descriptive purposes, using the MTur’s Transfer Contracts System (SIACOR) as its main source of data. The main results of this research are that there is a spatial selectivity of public investments, with some municipalities being prioritized over others. Also, a considerable portion of the resources is concentrated in urbanization and infrastructure works, while there were few management actions to promote tourism activity in tourism regions. Finally, it was found that considerable investments are made without any technical guidance, which means that in many cases, actions to promote tourism are impossible. It was also identified that resources are applied in an inefficient way, as many contracts for the transfer of funds are never applied

A INTERVENÇÃO DA FISIOTERAPIA NA MOBILIZAÇÃO PRECOCE EM ADULTOS DENTRO DE UMA UNIDADE DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA - UTI

The present study demonstrated and presented how the physiotherapy worked in the early mobilization within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and thus identified which were the complications caused by immobilism. The objective was to show the advantages offered by physical therapy within the ICU, how it acted and the techniques that were used during the care. Questions about the importance of physical therapy in the ICU, the performance in early mobilization, which treatment for hospitalized patients and which causes of functional impairment were answered. For the accomplishment of this article, a qualitative approach was made through a bibliographical revision in electronic databases, from August 2017 to October 2018, with the inclusion criterion of books, articles of revision and original and experimental studies in the Portuguese language performed in patients in the ICU between1998 to 2018. The work of the physiotherapist inserted within a multidisciplinary team is of fundamental importance, since its function is not only to guarantee the survival, but to offer the quality of life.O presente trabalho demonstrou e apresentou de que forma a fisioterapia atuou na mobilização precoce dentro de uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) e assim, identificou quais foram as complicações causadas pelo imobilismo. Objetivou-se mostrar as vantagens que a fisioterapia ofereceu dentro da UTI, como a mesma atuou e as técnicas que foram usadas durante os atendimentos. Questionamentos a respeito da importância da fisioterapia na UTI, a atuação na mobilização precoce, qual o tratamento para os pacientes hospitalizados e quais os causadores da diminuição funcional foram respondidos. Para a realização deste artigo, fez-se uso de uma abordagem qualitativa por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica em base de dados eletrônicos, tendo como critério de inclusão livros, artigos de revisão e, artigos originais e experimentais na língua portuguesa, realizados em pacientes na UTI entre1998 a 2018. O trabalho do fisioterapeuta inserido dentro de uma equipe multidisciplinar é de fundamental importância, visto que sua função não é somente garantir a sobrevida, mas sim ofertar a qualidade de vida

Sexual behaviour among initial academic students

Objective: Describe the sexual practices of beginner students of a Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Method: Exploratory and cross-sectional study which included 786 academics enrolled in courses of the health area. Results: 623 (79,3%) were female and the average age was 19.2 ± 3.1 years. 693 (88.2%) adolescents had started sexual life, of which 332 (47,9%) has sexual relations with regular partner and 135 (19.5%) reported regular use of condom. Conclusion: It shows the need of health education actions targeted to the teen population in the University context, especially those of health area, with a view to prevention and to the adoption of healthy habits, highlighting not only biological aspects, but also psychosocial and behavioral

Impact of Oxidative Changes and Possible Effects of Genetics Polymorphisms of Glutathione S-Transferase in Diabetics Patients with Complications

Pancreatic β cells are more sensitive to cytotoxic stress than several other cells due to the expression of very low levels of antioxidant enzymes. Glutathione-S-transferase (GST) is a detoxification enzyme essential for a cellular protection against oxidative damage. Thus, the objective of this chapter is to verify the impact of the hypothesis of all effects of Glutathione S-transferase polymorphism in patients with diabetic complications. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the main secondary complication of diabetes mellitus (DM). Notably, the expression of GST genes has been described in different variations as ethnic populations. Some studies have suggested association between genetic polymorphism for GSTM1, GSTT1 and GSTP1 and DN, but others do not. The results are still inconsistent and, therefore, more studies are needed to be performed

As embalagens plásticas possuem grande relevância no mercado, e sua produção exige um rigoroso controle para alcançar os padrões solicitados pelos clientes, e evitar falhas que gerem desperdícios. O setor de extrusão é onde se inicia a transformação do polietileno em plástico, quaisquer falhas neste setor ocasionam transtornos nos demais processos de produção. Foi realizada uma comparação entre maquinários do processo produtivo a fim de identificar qual máquina geravam menos perdas. Foi realizada uma análise no Excel no software @Minitab17 para análise de ocorrência significativa na variabilidade das falhas entre as máquinas. Foi possível indentificar as melhores opções dentre as máquinas analisadas, o que dá suporte ao processo de tomada de decisão, além de levar ao melhor aproveitamenteo da matéria prima, redução de custo e desperdícios no processo

Pensamento computacional e formação de professores da educação básica: Uma revisão da literatura

Mundialmente, o Pensamento Computacional vem sendo reconhecido comocompetência fundamental para todos os sujeitos, sendo introduzido nos currículos escolares desde a educação básica. A partir desse entendimento, este artigo apresenta uma revisão da literatura sobre o CT (acrônimo de Computational Thinking - Pensamento Computacional) para uma reflexão acerca do contexto brasileiro, buscando a identificação e análise sobre a presença, forma e objetivo de seu emprego junto à educação básica. A metodologia adotada possui elementos de um Mapeamento Sistemático, conduzida de forma a buscar respostas para as questões: o CT é abordado na formação de professores para a educação básica? Se afirmativo, de que forma ele é abordado e com que objetivo? A partir da análise das publicações encontradas, foi identificada a presença do CT na educação básica, principalmente em atividades com uso de linguagem de programação, empregada como estratégia didática, no intuito da promoção do desenvolvimento cognitivo, seguido do aspecto atitudinal e de colaboração. Paralelamente, os dados revelam, além de um maior número de experiências formativas com docentes em relação a discentes, uma menor incidência de uso, seja docente ou discente, junto à etapa da educação infantil e anos iniciais do ensino fundamental da educação básica
