    Los videojuegos se empiezan a erigir como el género artístico predominante del siglo XXI. Con un lenguaje ya maduro y una estética propia, aquellas limitaciones que tenían otrora se han convertido en grandes herramientas estéticas y semióticas con las que desencadenar distintos procesos emocionales.     Valuation of patents and R&D projects using real options: a practical implementation

    The correct valuation of an R&D project is a rather complex process. Aside from the fact that it can take several years to launch a new product after extensive investment, there happens to be a significant abandonment probability at each of the development and exploitation stages. Significant uncertainty is also inherently attached to both development costs and subsequent operational cash flows (be it the case of receiving final approval for commercial purposes).These cash flows need to be estimated with anticipation in order to give a reasonable value for the patent or R&D project. The approach undertaken herein is to consider the patent or R&D project as a complex option on relevant underlying stochastic variables: investment costs and operational cash flows.     Con el propósito de valorar financieramente las Pymes del subsector metalmecánico del país; se realizó un muestreo de todos los Balances Generales y Estados de Resultados de las empresas de interés, del cual se obtuvo una muestra de cuatro empresas, a las cuales se les realizó un análisis financiero. Para cada empresa se elaboró un análisis vertical del año 2008 y un análisis horizontal correspondiente al periodo 2006 a 2008, dentro de los cuales se argumentaron sus fortalezas, debilidades y posibles causas, además se calcularon las razones financieras y posteriormente fueron analizadas cada una de ellas haciendo las respectivas recomendaciones. Se elaboró de igual manera el cálculo del EVA, con el fin de evaluar cada compañía el comportamiento que ha tenido de este indicador. Finalmente se logró a partir de toda la información adquirida una caracterización financiera del subsector metalmecánico, la cual es el propósito principal del presente proyecto.In order to evaluate financially The PYMES Of sub-sector metalworking of the country is sampled for all Balance Sheets and Income Statements of the companies of interest, which was obtained a sample of four companies, which underwent a financial analysis. For each company prepare a vertical analysis of 2008 and a horizontal analysis for the period 2006 to 2008, within which argued their strengths, weaknesses and possible causes, besides the financial ratios were calculated and then analyzed each by the respective recommendations. Was elaborated in the way the EVA calculated in order to evaluate each company's behavior has had on this indicator.     Antecedentes: Las heridas por mordedura de perro son un problema creciente a lo largo de los años a nivel mundial, es un problema epidemiológico y afecta a la salud pública. Objetivo: Explorar que se sabe hasta el momento sobre las mordeduras de perro en cuanto a prevalencia, epidemiología, clasificación, prevención y tratamiento. Material y métodos: Se ha realizado una búsqueda exhaustiva en diferentes bases de datos en los últimos 10 años, que abarca desde enero de 2010 hasta marzo de 2020. Se han utilizado los descriptores Mesh “Dogs” y “Bites and Stings”, variando la estrategia de búsqueda en las diferentes bases de datos: Medline, Lilacs, Web Of Science, Scopus y Scielo, también se ha utilizado la Sede Web de Mendeley. Los criterios de inclusión y exclusión han sido utilizados para la selección de la literatura. Resultados: Se llevo a cabo la lectura de 30 artículos en texto completo, excluyendo 12 de ellos por: muy baja evidencia, no acceso gratuito, abstract o no relación con el tema, utilizando finalmente 18 artículos. La gran mayoría de ellos estudios observacionales. Conclusiones: Las lesiones producidas por mordedura de perro siguen aumentando. Son más prevalentes en niños, en varones, en verano y en aquellas personas que padecen un trastorno de la conducta. El Pitbull y el Rottweiler, son las razas que más lesiones producen. Las lesiones son más frecuentes en cabeza y cuello en niños, y extremidades superiores en adultos. La legislación de forma aislada no es eficaz, necesitando hacer promoción para la salud para su prevención. El desbridamiento, el lavado exhaustivo, la administración profiláctica de antibióticos y correcta vacunación son esenciales para el tratamiento. El cierre primario no ha demostrado obtener mejores resultados que el cierre secundario o terciario

    Simulação do processo de produção de polipropileno a partir do glicerol

    Com o objetivo de reduzir a dependência em relação aos combustíveis fósseis no Brasil, a produção de biodiesel para incorporação no diesel tem crescido muito nos últimos anos, acumulando um grande excedente de glicerol obtido como subproduto na geração desse biocombustível. Portanto, torna-se fundamental buscar novas aplicações para que o glicerol possa ser utilizado de maneira mais eficiente e agregar valor à cadeia de produção de biodiesel. A partir desse cenário, este trabalho visa a realizar uma análise de viabilidade técnico-econômica a respeito do processo de transformação do glicerol em propileno por hidrogenólise e a posterior polimerização desse produto em polipropileno homopolímero atático, além de comparar o processo de produção de propileno derivado do glicerol com outras rotas de produção existentes. Para cumprir esse objetivo foram realizadas simulações computacionais desses processos no software Aspen Plus® v8.8, com o suporte de informações disponíveis na literatura. O processo de hidrogenólise obteve prejuízo e mostrou custos de produção elevados quando comparado com outras rotas de produção de propileno. O processo de polimerização se mostrou viável economicamente, porém a sua integração com o processo de hidrogenólise gerou um polipropileno com preço pouco competitivo comparado com o preço encontrado no mercado. Identificou-se como principais problemas para a viabilidade dessa rota o grande excesso de hidrogênio necessário para a reação de hidrogenólise, os custos elevados na compra do glicerol usado como matéria-prima e na disposição de efluentes

    Mildly basic aqueous conditions facilitated the tert-butyl peroxybenzoate (TBPB) mediated dehydrogenative addition of a range of ethers, including acetals, to diverse substituted 2-isocyanobiaryls.     Hazardous thoracic and ultrafine particles from road dust in a Caribbean industrial city

    In this study, inorganic geochemical characterization of the thoracic (or < 10 μm) fraction of road dust in Barranquilla (a major industrial city in the Caribbean region) was conducted. Samples were collected directly from street pavements, and the fraction of particles <10 μm was analyzed by inductively coupled plasma - optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) and inductively coupled plasma - mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Major elements including Al, Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Na, and S were the most abundant species, accounting for 23 ± 18% of the mass of thoracic particles. Enrichment factor was calculated obtaining that Sb, Sn, Cu, Zn, Pb, and Fe had a dominant anthropogenic influence. An exploratory analysis of morphology and geochemical composition of ultrafine particles was conducted using a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HR-TEM). Iron particles were identified as enriched compounds and as a mineral (magnetite). Hazardous ultrafine particles (UFPs, with diameter < 100 nm) such as TiO2 and Pb (agglomerated shape), and V and Ni (almost-spherical carbonaceous particles) were also detected. The braking process was identified as a crucial urban source of thoracic particles and UFPs. The results provide data that can be used to better understand and manage road dust

To this end we investigated on procedures used in other departments in the company of how costs are managed. So also he was asked about how they have managed to control project costs of urbanization. Some problems encountered such as better project schedule, lack of instructional, communication and unforeseen situations were causes that during the investigation did not allow the work will be developed as planned.
