High-spin structures of 88Kr and 89Rb: Evolution from collective to single-particle behaviors
The high-spin states of the two neutron-rich nuclei, 88Kr and 89R have been
studied from the 18O + 208Pb fusion-fission reaction. Their level schemes were
built from triple gamma-ray coincidence data and gamma-gamma angular
correlations were analyzed in order to assign spin and parity values to most of
the observed states. The two levels schemes evolve from collective structures
to single-particle excitations as a function of the excitation energy.
Comparison with results of shell-model calculations gives the specific proton
and neutron configurations which are involved to generate the angular momentum

An Efficient Approach to Obtaining Large Numbers of Distant Supernova Host Galaxy Redshifts
We use the wide-field capabilities of the 2dF fibre positioner and the
AAOmega spectrograph on the Anglo-Australian Telescope (AAT) to obtain
redshifts of galaxies that hosted supernovae during the first three years of
the Supernova Legacy Survey (SNLS). With exposure times ranging from 10 to 60
ksec per galaxy, we were able to obtain redshifts for 400 host galaxies in two
SNLS fields, thereby substantially increasing the total number of SNLS
supernovae with host galaxy redshifts. The median redshift of the galaxies in
our sample that hosted photometrically classified Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia)
is 0.77, which is 25% higher than the median redshift of spectroscopically
confirmed SNe Ia in the three-year sample of the SNLS. Our results demonstrate
that one can use wide-field fibre-fed multi-object spectrographs on 4m
telescopes to efficiently obtain redshifts for large numbers of supernova host
galaxies over the large areas of sky that will be covered by future
high-redshift supernova surveys, such as the Dark Energy Survey.Comment: 22 pages, 4 figures, accepted for publication in PAS
Dark Viscous Fluid coupled with Dark Matter and future singularity
We study effects of viscous fluid coupled with dark matter in our universe.
We consider bulk viscosity in the cosmic fluid and we suppose the existence of
a coupling between fluid and dark matter, in order to reproduce a stable de
Sitter universe protected against future-time singularities. More general
inhomogeneous fluids are studied related to future singularities.Comment: 11 page
High-spin structures of 136Cs
Odd-odd 136Cs nuclei have been produced in the 18O + 208Pb and 12C + 238U
fusion-fission reactions and their gamma rays studied with the Euroball array.
The high-spin level scheme has been built up to ~ 4.7 MeV excitation energy and
spin I ~ 16 hbar from the triple gamma-ray coincidence data. The configurations
of the three structures observed above ~ 2 MeV excitation energy are first
discussed by analogy with the proton excitations identified in the semi-magic
137Cs nucleus, which involve the three high-j orbits lying above the Z=50 gap,
pi g_{7/2}, pi d_{5/2} and pi h_{11/2}. This is confirmed by the results of
shell-model calculations performed in this work.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, 3 table
Evolution of shell structure in neutron-rich calcium isotopes
We employ interactions from chiral effective field theory and compute the
binding energies and low-lying excitations of calcium isotopes with the
coupled-cluster method. Effects of three-nucleon forces are included
phenomenologically as in-medium two-nucleon interactions, and the coupling to
the particle continuum is taken into account using a Berggren basis. The
computed ground-state energies and the low-lying 2+ states for the isotopes
42,48,50,52Ca are in good agreement with data, and we predict the excitation
energy of the first 2+ state in 54Ca at 1.9 MeV, displaying only a weak
sub-shell closure. In the odd-mass nuclei 53,55,61Ca we find that the positive
parity states deviate strongly from the naive shell model.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures; small correction of effective 3NF and slight

High-spin states with seniority v=4,4,6 in 119-126Sn
The 119-126Sn nuclei have been produced as fission fragments in two reactions
induced by heavy ions: 12C+238U at 90 MeV bombarding energy, 18O+208Pb at 85
MeV. Their level schemes have been built from gamma rays detected using the
Euroball array. High-spin states located above the long-lived isomeric states
of the even- and odd-A 120-126Sn nuclei have been identified. Moreover isomeric
states lying around 4.5 MeV have been established in 120,122,124,126Sn from the
delayed coincidences between the fission fragment detector SAPhIR and the
Euroball array. The states located above 3-MeV excitation energy are ascribed
to several broken pairs of neutrons occupying the nu h11/2 orbit. The maximum
value of angular momentum available in such a high-j shell, i.e. for
mid-occupation and the breaking of the three neutron pairs, has been

Dark energy constraints and correlations with systematics from CFHTLS weak lensing, SNLS supernovae Ia and WMAP5
We combine measurements of weak gravitational lensing from the CFHTLS-Wide
survey, supernovae Ia from CFHT SNLS and CMB anisotropies from WMAP5 to obtain
joint constraints on cosmological parameters, in particular, the dark energy
equation of state parameter w. We assess the influence of systematics in the
data on the results and look for possible correlations with cosmological
parameters.
We implement an MCMC algorithm to sample the parameter space of a flat CDM
model with a dark-energy component of constant w. Systematics in the data are
parametrised and included in the analysis. We determine the influence of
photometric calibration of SNIa data on cosmological results by calculating the
response of the distance modulus to photometric zero-point variations. The weak
lensing data set is tested for anomalous field-to-field variations and a
systematic shape measurement bias for high-z galaxies.
Ignoring photometric uncertainties for SNLS biases cosmological parameters by
at most 20% of the statistical errors, using supernovae only; the parameter
uncertainties are underestimated by 10%. The weak lensing field-to-field
variance pointings is 5%-15% higher than that predicted from N-body
simulations. We find no bias of the lensing signal at high redshift, within the
framework of a simple model. Assuming a systematic underestimation of the
lensing signal at high redshift, the normalisation sigma_8 increases by up to
8%. Combining all three probes we obtain -0.10<1+w<0.06 at 68% confidence
(-0.18<1+w<0.12 at 95%), including systematic errors. Systematics in the data
increase the error bars by up to 35%; the best-fit values change by less than

SiFTO: An Empirical Method for Fitting SNe Ia Light Curves
We present SiFTO, a new empirical method for modeling type Ia supernovae (SNe
Ia) light curves by manipulating a spectral template. We make use of
high-redshift SN observations when training the model, allowing us to extend it
bluer than rest frame U. This increases the utility of our high-redshift SN
observations by allowing us to use more of the available data. We find that
when the shape of the light curve is described using a stretch prescription,
applying the same stretch at all wavelengths is not an adequate description.
SiFTO therefore uses a generalization of stretch which applies different
stretch factors as a function of both the wavelength of the observed filter and
the stretch in the rest-frame B band. We compare SiFTO to other published
light-curve models by applying them to the same set of SN photometry, and
demonstrate that SiFTO and SALT2 perform better than the alternatives when
judged by the scatter around the best fit luminosity distance relationship. We
further demonstrate that when SiFTO and SALT2 are trained on the same data set
the cosmological results agree.Comment: Modified to better match published version in Ap
Coexistence of 'alpha+ 208Pb' cluster structures and single-particle excitations in 212Po
Excited states in 212Po have been populated by alpha transfer using the
208Pb(18O,14C) reaction at 85MeV beam energy and studied with the EUROBALL IV
gamma multidetector array. The level scheme has been extended up to ~ 3.2 MeV
excitation energy from the triple gamma coincidence data. Spin and parity
values of most of the observed states have been assigned from the gamma angular
distributions and gamma -gamma angular correlations. Several gamma lines with
E(gamma) < 1 MeV have been found to be shifted by the Doppler effect, allowing
for the measurements of the associated lifetimes by the DSAM method. The
values, found in the range [0.1-0.6] ps, lead to very enhanced E1 transitions.
All the emitting states, which have non-natural parity values, are discussed in
terms of alpha-208Pb structure. They are in the same excitation-energy range as

Buenas prácticas organizativas en Atención Primaria : una organización facilitadora de la seguridad clínica
En este capítulo se describen dos experiencias concretas de organización del trabajo en seguridad del paciente en dos áreas sanitarias de dos comunidades autónomas. Cada una tiene ventajas e inconvenientes en el despliegue de la estrategia de seguridad del paciente si bien, cada una tiene la virtud de adaptarse lo mejor posible a las circunstancias organizativas del medio en el que trabaja. La finalidad de ambas experiencias es poner sobre la mesa que la incorporación de la cultura de seguridad del paciente de una manera efectiva no se fundamenta creando estructuras nuevas sino consiguiendo adaptar la realidad existente para que se priorice mejorar la seguridad del paciente en el sistema sanitario
