    Pelaksanaan program KKS di Kelurahan Sekip Jaya, terdapat faktor yang menjadi penghambat yaitu kurangnya sosialisasi program KKS masih ada masyarakat miskin yang belum terdaftar, serta tidak tepat sasaran penerima KKS sehingga menimbulkan kecemburuan sosial.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kebijakan program Kartu Keluarga Sejahtera (KKS) dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat miskin di Kelurahan Sekip Jaya Kecamatan Kemuning Kota Palembang dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menjadi penghambat implementasi kebijakan program Kartu Keluarga Sejahtera (KKS) dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat miskin di Kelurahan Sekip Jaya Kecamatan Kemuning Kota Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan penjabaran secara deskriptif.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka dan menggunakan teknik analisa datamenurut Miles and Huberman dalam Sugiyono dengan tahapanreduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan.Sedangkan untuk mengungkap permasalahan penelitian menggunakan model implementasi yang dikembangkan oleh Van Meter dan Van Horn dan fungsi kesejahteraan sosial menurut Friedlander & Apte dalam Fahrudin. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pelaksanaan program Kartu Keluarga Sejahtera (KKS) di Kelurahan SekipJaya Kecamatan Kemuning Kota Palembang, belum berjalan secara efektif. Seperti masih terdapat penerima bantuan yang belum terdaftar, sosialisasi hanya dilakukan kepada penerima KKS saja, dalam proses pendataan yang dilakukan pemerintah data yang digunakan adalah hasil pendataan perlindungan sosial (PPLS) tahun 2011 yang dilakukan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Sehingga tidak sesuai kondisi dilapangan, perlu pemberian pengarahan dan perhatian kepada masyarakat serta melakukan validasi dan pemutakhiran data guna meminimalisir kecemburuan sosial dimasyarakat. &nbsp

    The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of person-environment fit on the relationship between organizational culture and staff turnover intention. Data were obtained from permanent employees who were working in unit business at PT.Berca Hardayaperkasa (n = 75). This research method is explanatory survey. This type of research is associative. The analysis used in this study is a path analysis. The results indicate that the organizational culture has a significant influence to the staff turnover intention and person-environment fit has a significant mediating influence on the relationship between organizational culture with staff turnover intention

    Emotional labor as emotional regulation: Italian adaptation and longitudinal validation of the scale among undergraduate nursing students

    Aim: The aim of the present study is to perform a longitudinal Italian validation of the scale and to adapt it to the nursing education contest. Background: Research on emotional labor has shown that the roles played by surface acting and deep acting are still uncertain. To overcome this gap, scholars suggest observing emotional labor through the lens of the emotional regulation theory. Andela and her colleagues developed a fine grained instrument, which differentiates attentional deployment, cognitive re-evaluation and expressive suppression, emotional amplification and emotional dissonance. Design. To fulfill our aim, a longitudinal study was performed in an Italian University. Method. The adapted scale was administered to 168 nursing students across the three years of attendance in the course. Results. Our results confirm the five-factor structure, and the instrument shows good psychometrical properties. Conclusion. Having shown satisfactory psychometric properties, this scale can be considered a useful instrument to assess those emotional elements of clinical practice, which are important for the assurance of education quality to the under graduated nursing students

    Global changes in dryland vegetation dynamics (1988–2008) assessed by satellite remote sensing: comparing a new passive microwave vegetation density record with reflective greenness data

    Drylands, covering nearly 30% of the global land surface, are characterized by high climate variability and sensitivity to land management. Here, two satellite-observed vegetation products were used to study the long-term (1988–2008) vegetation changes of global drylands: the widely used reflective-based Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and the recently developed passive-microwave-based Vegetation Optical Depth (VOD). The NDVI is sensitive to the chlorophyll concentrations in the canopy and the canopy cover fraction, while the VOD is sensitive to vegetation water content of both leafy and woody components. Therefore it can be expected that using both products helps to better characterize vegetation dynamics, particularly over regions with mixed herbaceous and woody vegetation. Linear regression analysis was performed between antecedent precipitation and observed NDVI and VOD independently to distinguish the contribution of climatic and non-climatic drivers in vegetation variations. Where possible, the contributions of fire, grazing, agriculture and CO<sub>2</sub> level to vegetation trends were assessed. The results suggest that NDVI is more sensitive to fluctuations in herbaceous vegetation, which primarily uses shallow soil water, whereas VOD is more sensitive to woody vegetation, which additionally can exploit deeper water stores. Globally, evidence is found for woody encroachment over drylands. In the arid drylands, woody encroachment appears to be at the expense of herbaceous vegetation and a global driver is interpreted. Trends in semi-arid drylands vary widely between regions, suggesting that local rather than global drivers caused most of the vegetation response. In savannas, besides precipitation, fire regime plays an important role in shaping trends. Our results demonstrate that NDVI and VOD provide complementary information and allow new insights into dryland vegetation dynamics

    Madagascar's fire regimes challenge global assumptions about landscape degradation

    Narratives of landscape degradation are often linked to unsustainable fire use by local communities. Madagascar is a case in point: the island is considered globally exceptional, with its remarkable endemic biodiversity viewed as threatened by unsustainable anthropogenic fire. Yet, fire regimes on Madagascar have not been empirically characterised or globally contextualised. Here, we contribute a comparative approach to determining relationships between regional fire regimes and global patterns and trends, applied to Madagascar using MODIS remote sensing data (2003–2019). Rather than a global exception, we show that Madagascar's fire regimes are similar to 88% of tropical burned area with shared climate and vegetation characteristics, and can be considered a microcosm of most tropical fire regimes. From 2003–2019, landscape-scale fire declined across tropical grassy biomes (17%–44% excluding Madagascar), and on Madagascar at a relatively fast rate (36%–46%). Thus, high tree loss anomalies on the island (1.25–4.77× the tropical average) were not explained by any general expansion of landscape-scale fire in grassy biomes. Rather, tree loss anomalies centred in forests, and could not be explained by landscape-scale fire escaping from savannas into forests. Unexpectedly, the highest tree loss anomalies on Madagascar (4.77×) occurred in environments without landscape-scale fire, where the role of small-scale fires (&lt;21 h [0.21 km2]) is unknown. While landscape-scale fire declined across tropical grassy biomes, trends in tropical forests reflected important differences among regions, indicating a need to better understand regional variation in the anthropogenic drivers of forest loss and fire risk. Our new understanding of Madagascar's fire regimes offers two lessons with global implications: first, landscape-scale fire is declining across tropical grassy biomes and does not explain high tree loss anomalies on Madagascar. Second, landscape-scale fire is not uniformly associated with tropical forest loss, indicating a need for socio-ecological context in framing new narratives of fire and ecosystem degradation

The underlying valley–spin splitting is set by spin–orbit coupling but can be tuned via the application of external magnetic fields or through proximity coupling. However, only modest changes have been realized to date. Here, we investigate the electronic structure of the V-intercalated transition metal dichalcogenide V1/3NbS2 using microscopic-area spatially resolved and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. Our measurements and corresponding density functional theory calculations reveal that the bulk magnetic order induces a giant valley-selective Ising coupling exceeding 50 meV in the surface NbS2 layer, equivalent to application of a ~250 T magnetic field. This energy scale is of comparable magnitude to the intrinsic spin–orbit splittings, and indicates how coupling of local magnetic moments to itinerant states of a transition metal dichalcogenide monolayer provides a powerful route to controlling their valley–spin splittings.PostprintPeer reviewe

    Relationships among some serum enzymes, negative energy balance parameters, parity and postparturient clinical (endo)metritis in Holstein Friesian cows – Short communication

    Activities of alkaline phosphatase, aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase, and concentrations of serum metabolites [beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) and non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA)] of primiparous (n = 83) and multiparous (n = 213) Holstein cows were studied as possible predictors of retained fetal membranes (RFM), grade 2 clinical metritis (CM) and clinical endometritis (CEM). A logistic regression model was used to calculate odds ratios (OR) for the prevalence of CM diagnosed between 0–5, 6–10 and 11–20 days in milk (DIM) and for the prevalence of CEM diagnosed between 22–28 and 42–49 DIM. The activities of the examined serum enzymes did not show significant associations either with CM or with CEM. For NEFA sampled on days 0 and 5, an OR of 2.38 for CM 0–20 DIM and an OR of 2.58 for CM 11–20 DIM was found. For BHB sampled on days 0 and 5, an OR of 8.20 for CEM 22–28 and 42–49 DIM and an OR of 1.98 for CM 6–10 DIM were found. The prevalence of RFM was higher in ≄ 4 parity cows compared to primiparous cows (46.3% vs. 26.5%). BHB and NEFA levels measured between 0 and 5 DIM could have a predictive ability for postpartum uterine disorders such as RFM, CM and CEM

    Anthromes dispaying evidence of weekly cycles in active fire data cover 70% of the global land surface

    Across the globe, human activities have been gaining importance relatively to climate and ecology as the main controls on fire regimes and consequently human activity became an important driver of the frequency, extent and intensity of vegetation burning worldwide. Our objective in the present study is to look for weekly cycles in vegetation fire activity at global scale as evidence of human agency, relying on the original MODIS active fire detections at 1 km spatial resolution (MCD14ML) and using novel statistical methodologies to detect significant periodicities in time series data. We tested the hypotheses that global fire activity displays weekly cycles and that the weekday with the fewest fires is Sunday. We also assessed the effect of land use and land cover on weekly fire cycle significance by testing those hypotheses separately for the Villages, Settlements, Croplands, Rangelands, Seminatural, and Wildlands anthromes. Based on a preliminary data analysis of the daily global active fire counts periodogram, we developed an harmonic regression model for the mean function of daily fire activity and assumed a linear model for the de-seasonalized time series. For inference purposes, we used a Bayesian methodology and constructed a simultaneous 95% credible band for the mean function. The hypothesis of a Sunday weekly minimum was directly investigated by computing the probabilities that the mean functions of every weekday (Monday to Saturday) are inside the credible band corresponding to mean Sunday fire activity. Since these probabilities are small, there is statistical evidence of significantly fewer fires on Sunday than on the other days of the week. Cropland, rangeland, and seminatural anthromes, which cover 70% of the global land area and account for 94% of the active fires analysed, display weekly cycles in fire activity. Due to lower land management intensity and less strict control over fire size and duration, weekly cycles in Rangelands and Seminatural anthromes, which jointly account for 53.46% of all fires, although statistically significant are weaker than those detected in Croplandsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
