    Analysis of The Influence of Reading Speed and Reading Reference on Reading Comprehension Skills With Reading Strategy as Mediation Variables for Students at State University of Padang

    This study aims to analyze the analysis of the effect of reading speed and reading frequency on reading comprehension skills with reading strategy as a mediating variable for students of Universitas Negeri Padang. This research is a quantitative method with a descriptive type. The sampling technique in this study used the nonprobability sampling method, namely the purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale with five alternative answers. The data analysis technique used SEM-PLS with SmartPLS version 3 software. The results of the study found that reading speed had a direct and significant effect on reading comprehension skills. Reading frequency has a direct and significant effect on reading comprehension skills. Reading strategy have a direct and significant effect on reading comprehension skills. Reading speed has a direct and significant effect on reading strategy. Reading frequency has a direct and significant effect on reading strategy. There is an effect of reading speed on reading comprehension skills mediated by reading strategy. There is an effect of reading speed on reading comprehension skills mediated by reading strategy

    Struktur dan Unsur Kebahasaan Teks Eksposisi Karya Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan

    Peneliti memilih judul penelitian ini dikarenakan karena Penelitian ini memiliki empat tujuan, yaitu (1) mendeskripsikan struktur yang terdapat di dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang (2) mendeskripsikan pengunaan konjungsi yang terdapat di dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang (3) mendeskripsikan penggunaan pronomina yang terdapat di dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang (4) mendeskripsikan kata-kata leksikal yang terdapat di dalam teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kalimat dan paragraf yang mengandung struktur dan unsur kebahasaan pada teks eksposisi yang ditulis oeleh siswa kelas VIII 5 SMP Negeri 2 Bayang yang berjumlah 26 teks. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik dokumentasi. Teknik penganalisisan data dalam penelitian ini, yaitu (1) mendeskripsikan data (2) menganalsis data (3) membahas data bedasarkan teori. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam dari 26 teks eksposisi karya siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang tersebut, ditemukan 18 teks eksposisi yang strukturnya lengkap, yaitu tesis, argumentasi, dan penegasan ulang. Sebaliknya, 8 teks eksposisi yang ditulis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang strukturnya tidak lengkap. Dari 8 teks eksposisi yang struktur tidak lengkap terdapat 2 teks eksposisi hanya memuat struktur tesis dan argumentasi, dan 6 teks hanya memuat tesis. Dalam menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang lebih cenderung menggunakan dua bgaian struktur, yaitu tesis dan argumentasi. Dilihat dari segi ketepatan isi struktur teks eksposisi yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang masih ada yang tidak tepat. Ditinjau dari segi unsur kebahasaan, siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bayang lebih cenderung menggunakan unsur kebahasaan berupa konjungsi, yaitu konjungsi koordinatif dan konjungsi subodinatif

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif dalam novel Rindu Yang Baik untuk Kisah yang Pelik karya Boy Candra. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa tindak tutur ekspresif dalam novel Rindu yang Baik untuk Kisah yang Pelik karya Boy Candra. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, yaitu teknik pencatatan berupa inventarisasi data dengan menggunakan format. Penelitian ini menemukan enam bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif dan empat strategi bertutur ekspresif. Bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif yang ditemukan yaitu memuji 20 tuturan, mengucapkan terima kasih 14 tuturan, mengkritik 8 tuturan, mengeluh 12 tuturan, menyalahkan 5 tuturan, dan mengucapkan selamat 3 tuturan. Strategi bertutur yang ditemukan berupa bertutur tanpa basa-basi 27 tuturan, bertutur terus terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan positif 15 tuturan, bertutur terus terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan negatif 18 tuturan, dan bertutur samar-samar 2 tuturan. Penelitian ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA kelas XII untuk materi Teks Novel KD 3.9 dan 4.9

    NETIZEN'S LANGUAGE POLICY IN COMMENTING NADIEM MAKARIM INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT ABOUT ONLINE LEARNING

    The purpose of this study is to see how polite netizens are in commenting on Nadiem Makarim's Instagram account, Minister of Education and Culture. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data is sourced from the Instagram account (@nadiemmakariem), speech or writing in the comments of Nadiem Makarim's first post on August 17, 2020, the focus of the data is comments about online learning. The results showed that comments about online learning on Nadiem Makarim's posts were dominated by netizens who used polite speech or obeyed the principles of politeness. Comments that are found a lot are comments from school children and students for schools to be reactivated or they want schools to be opened and face to face. This is certainly a spirit that appears from the students and a positive thing. Complying with the netizen's politeness principle in commenting on Nadiem Makarim's Instagram account, there are 85 utterances or comments. Meanwhile, there are 54 violations of the netizen's politeness principles.

    The research aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the 10th grade of SMA Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban in an effort to achieve educational goals with character. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research data was obtained through interviews with teachers and students, classroom observations, and analysis of curriculum-related documents. The research subjects consist of teachers and 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban. The researcher collected data through interviews with teachers involved in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, classroom observations to observe the learning process, and analysis of documents related to the curriculum implementation. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the 10th grade at SMA Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban has provided a positive contribution in achieving character education goals. Teachers actively involve students in the learning process, give students the freedom to explore their potential, and promote the desired character values. Furthermore, students also benefit from the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. They feel more motivated and engaged in learning, have space for exploration and the development of creativity, and experience improvement in personal character formation. However, the research also identifies several challenges in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Factors such as limited resources and uneven understanding among teachers can affect the optimal implementation of this curriculum. To improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, this research recommends training and mentoring for teachers to strengthen their understanding of this curriculum. Additionally, attention should be given to the development of resources that support the comprehensive implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum

    The purpose to the research are described the speech act and to describe the strategy of speech act who use by a pavament seller on transaction in Pasar Raya Padang. The data of the research is speech act that used by the pavemant seller. On the research the writer choose the oral data as the primary source, with direct speech by informan as native speaker. The writer collected data with simak libat cakap methode and technique record. On the research, writer found several problem. First the writer found four kind of declaration of speech act who use by the seller on the transaction; (a) decision speech act, (b) canceled speech act, (c) forbid speech act, (d) permission speech act. Second, there is three strategies that use by seller; (a) the strategy of directspeech act without politeness, (b) the strategy of direct speech act with possitive politeness, (c) the startegy of direch speech act with negative politeness
