Análise de uma Fundamentação da Verdade de Sentenças Aritméticas
The main subject of this work is the truth of mathematical assertions and its aim is to evaluate, in the arithmetical context, one of the elements featured by Freire in (2018) and in this issue of the Revista de Filosofia Moderna e Contemporânea (in joint work with Ramos): a strategie to fix the truth-condition of arithmetical propositions based on the directive principles that govern the practice of this matter. The method of analysis aims to elucidate the contribution of the directive principles to fix the standard model of arithmetics and takes in consideration three differents metrics. From this results the approach based in principles is compared with other three proposals well known in the literature.
marcas fortes, atraindo e fidelizando clientes.
A importância

Simbolismo : Revisão teórica do conceito
Segal apresenta a relação
Freud e Segal.ABSTRACT: The purpose of this work was to do a literature review on the concept of symbolism and the
importance of symbolic function. We tried to know the current status of the concept, why this
symbolic capacity and its importance to the development of the subject. For this we worked on
theories of Sigmund Freud, Ernest Jones, Melanie Klein, Hanna Segal and Harold Blum and
analyzed their contributions. It is intended therefore to summarize the evolution of the concept
and want to explore the contributions of the authors or their different conceptions of
Symbolism. Freud, Jones and Blum make a restricted use of the concept, while Klein and Segal
use the concept in a broader sense. Freud started from the analysis of dreams. Klein stressed the
importance of the relationship. Jones distinguished psychoanalytic symbol of other forms of
indirect representation as metaphors. Similarly, Blum distinguished psychoanalytic symbol of
words. Segal presents the symbolic relation as a relation to three rather than two, a relationship
between symbol, symbolized and symbolizing a person to whom the other. We will seek to
realize the path between Freud and Segal
Otolith shape and elemental signatures provide insights into the connectivity of euryhaline chelon labrosus inhabiting two close estuaries with different burdens of xenoestrogens in the southern bay of biscay
Intersex gonads have been observed in thicklip grey mullet Chelon labrosus, inhabiting estuaries with high burdens of xenoestrogens in the Southeast Bay of Biscay, but knowledge of population connectivity among estuaries is lacking for this euryhaline fish species. This study investigates the population structure of C. labrosus using otolith shape and elemental signatures of 60 adults (overall length ~ 38 cm) from two estuaries 21 nautic miles apart, one with a high incidence of intersex condition (Gernika), and the other one pristine (Plentzia). Otolith shape analyses were performed using elliptical Fourier descriptors, while elemental signatures of whole sagittae were obtained by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrophotometry. Univariate and multivariate statistics were applied to determine if otolith signatures show patterns of homogeneity between estuaries. The data indicated significant differences in the otolith shape and elemental composition between mullets of Gernika and Plentzia. Elemental differences were mainly driven by Sr, Li (both higher in Plentzia) and Ba (higher in Gernika). The 98% re-classification success rate obtained from stepwise linear discriminant function analysis suggests that Gernika and Plentzia individuals form separated population units. The limited connectivity between these two close estuaries would indicate a different life history of exposure to chemicals, which might explain the high prevalence of intersex condition in Gernika and its absence in Plenztia.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Gla-rich protein (GRP) as an early and novel marker of vascular calcification and kidney dysfunction in diabetic patients with CKD: a pilot cross-sectional study
Vascular calcification (VC) is one of the strongest predictors of cardiovascular risk in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. New diagnostic/prognostic tools are required for early detection of VC allowing interventional strategies. Gla-rich protein (GRP) is a cardiovascular calcification inhibitor, whose clinical utility is here highlighted. The present study explores, for the first time, correlations between levels of GRP in serum with CKD developmental stage, mineral metabolism markers, VC and pulse pressure (PP), in a cohort of 80 diabetic patients with mild to moderate CKD (stages 2-4). Spearman's correlation analysis revealed a positive association of GRP serum levels with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and α-Klotho, while a negative correlation with phosphate (P), fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF-23), vascular calcification score (VCS), PP, calcium (x) phosphate (CaxP) and interleukin 6 (IL-6). Serum GRP levels were found to progressively decrease from stage 2 to stage 4 CKD. Multivariate analysis identified low levels of eGFR and GRP, and high levels of FGF-23 associated with both the VCS and PP. These results indicate an association between GRP, renal dysfunction and CKD-mineral and bone disorder. The relationship between low levels of GRP and vascular calcifications suggests a future, potential utility for GRP as an early marker of vascular damage in CKD.Portuguese Society of Nephrology (SPN) ; Portuguese national funds from FCT-Foundation for Science and Technology through the transitional provision

Depression dimensions : integrating clinical signs and symptoms from the perspectives of clinicians and patients
Background Several studies have recognized that depression is a multidimensional construct, although the scales that are currently available have been shown to be limited in terms of the ability to investigate the multidimensionality of depression. The objective of this study is to integrate information from instruments that measure depression from different perspectives–a self-report symptomatic scale, a clinician-rated scale, and a clinician-rated scale of depressive signs–in order to investigate the multiple dimensions underlying the depressive construct. Methods A sample of 399 patients from a mood disorders outpatient unit was investigated with the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS), and the Core Assessment of Psychomotor Change (CORE). Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were used to investigate underlying dimensions of depression, including item level analysis with factor loadings and item thresholds. Results A solution of six depression dimensions has shown good-fit to the data, with no cross-loading items, and good interpretability. Item-level analysis revealed that the multidimensional depressive construct might be organized into a continuum of severity in the following ascending order: sexual, cognitive, insomnia, appetite, non-interactiveness/motor retardation, and agitation. Conclusion An integration of both signs and symptoms, as well as the perspectives of clinicians and patients, might be a good clinical and research alternative for the investigation ofmultidimensional issues within the depressive syndrome. As predicted by theoretical models of depression, the melancholic aspects of depression (non-interactiveness/motor retardation and agitation) lie at the severe end of the depressive continuum
Use of otolith shape and elemental signatures to infer the population structure of the Thicklip Grey Mullet Chelon labrosus in the Southern Bay of Biscay
Xenoestrogenic effects have been reported in thicklip grey mullet, Chelon labrosus, used as
pollution sentinel organisms in estuaries in the Southeast Bay of Biscay with intersex gonads described
in populations from some contaminated estuaries. Despite evidence of reproductive stress in this
catadromous fish species, knowledge of mullet reproductive movements and connectivity between
estuaries is lacking. This study investigates the population structure of C. labrosus using otolith shape
and elemental signatures of 60 adult individuals collected from two estuaries found in the Southeast
Bay of Biscay (Gernika and Plentzia). All samples were collected in June–July 2020. Otolith shape
analysis was determined using elliptical Fourier descriptors, while elemental signatures (Sr:Ca, Li:Ca,
Mg:Ca, Mn:Ca, Co:Ca, Ni:Ca, Cu:Ca and Ba:Ca) of whole sagittae were determined by inductively
coupled plasma mass spectrophotometry. Both natural tags were analyzed with univariate and
multivariate statistics to determine whether these signatures are geographically distinct and can be
used to assess the degree of separation between individuals. The data showed significant differences
in the otolith shape and elemental analyses, with canonical analysis of principal coordinates plots
identifying two different groups, each one belonging to each estuary of origin. Differences in whole
otolith elemental signatures between locations were driven by Sr:Ca, Li:Ca, and Ba:Ca. Sr:Ca and
Li:Ca ratios were higher in Plentzia than in Gernika, while Ba:Ca was higher in Gernika. The high
re-classification success rate using both tools obtained from stepwise linear discriminant function
analysis supports these findings and suggests that Gernika and Plentzia individuals passed enough
time in separated water compartments and should be regarded as two different population units.
This could suggest that the intersex condition in mullets from Gernika is due to life-long exposure to
xenoestrogens after homing during early larval development in that estuary, without migrations to
other estuaries.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
