Proyecto pedagógico mediatizado para visibilizar a los adultos mayores del hogar del abuelo divino pastor de Pereira mediante el uso del video documental como recurso para la reconstrucción de la memoria

    Get PDF
The present document covers the group of senior citizens who live in the ‘Hogar del Abuelo Divino Pastor, and the problematic that they’re involved in. This consolidation of problems was made evident, mainly through the approach to this group. The most relevant problems that they face surround the social, pedagogical and comunicative aspects, and in the latter one, it was discovered that an effective comunicational model was never used with the means of making this group of senior citizens feel like an important part of the society. This is why a proposal of implementing the comunicative model of Jakobson is the most adecuate option because it resembles the mediatized pedagogical project. The afore mentioned project comes together through the senior citizens, having them participate in a comunicative process that identifies them as active members of the society that they belong to. That’s why it was necesary to develop a strategy that allows the substraction of specific elements that conform a message that reaches the society and helps the elders of this retirement home become visible into it, using as a methological tool the video and their city perceptions. ‘Zoom’ is the universitary channel used to make the broadcast

Frequency estimation in DSOGI cells by means of the teager energy operator

    Get PDF
Second Order Generalized Integrator (SOGI) cells are used for notch filtering due to their simplicity and their harmonic rejection capability. SOGI and Dual SOGI (DSOGI) filter cells, combined with Frequency Locked Loops (FLL) to adjust the notch frequency, are commonly used in both 1f and 3f grid following (GFL) power converters for synchronization, i.e. SOGI-FLL and DSOGI-FLL, respectively. The FLL relies on a gradient descent method to minimize a cost function built up around one inner SOGI cell variable, e.g., the in-quadrature voltage estimation, and one outer variable, i.e. the error signal due to the SOGI filter cell. As a result, the FLL manages relatively large DC offsets and harmonic distortion passing through the outer SOGI cell variable, which deteriorates the frequency estimation and then, the SOGI-FLL performance. To attenuate such issues, the method proposed in this digest only uses inner SOGI cell variables. It minimizes the deviation between the estimated grid frequency and the frequency of the signal across the SOGI cell, which is detected through the Teager Energy Operator (TEO). The proposal is validated in simulation and experimentally. This work has been supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation through the project RTI2018-095138-B-C31:"Electrónica de potencia aplicada a la red eléctrica y a procesos industriales": PEGIA

Envelope-based modeling for single-phase grid-following and forming converters

    Get PDF
The study of the interaction with the grid, including synchronization, controller design and stability assessment for 1o grid-following (GFL) and grid-forming (GFM) power converters requires an efficient modeling tool to design universal grid-connected converters considering the different grid scenarios. From the initial time-periodic system, approximated linear time-invariant (LTI) models are obtained through dynamic phasors, linearization of variables represented in a virtual synchronous rotating reference frame (RRF) or linearization in the frequency domain, i.e. harmonic linearization. The accuracy and complexity of the obtained model depend on the method used. This work proposes to use the well-known envelope modeling approach used for resonant converters but requiring the time periodic input to generate its related phase synchronization for the model. The result is a simple and accurate LTI model of 1º GFL/GFM power converter for such stability studies. The proposed 1o modeling approach is valid for any application with phase locked loop (PLL) synchronization. Simulation results validating de proposal are provided. This work has been supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation through the project RTI2018-095138-B-C31:"Electrónica de potencia aplicada a la red eléctrica y a procesos industriales": PEGI

[EN] Age-related macular degeneration is a complex, multifactorial, and neurodegenerative disease that is the third cause of blindness after cataracts and glaucoma. To date, there are no effective remedies available for treating the disease. Therefore, the main goal of the scientific community is to uncover the underlying role that both genetics and environmental factors play in the development of the disease. Nevertheless, the complexity of the domain, the heterogeneity of the information, and the massive amounts of existing data hinder the daily work of clinical experts to provide an accurate diagnosis and treatment. In this work, we present how clinicians can benefit from the development of ontologically well-grounded information systems to support the management of both clinical and genomic data. First, we summarize the results obtained in a previous work that cover the clinical perspective using an information system called G-MAC, that has been specially developed for the management of clinical data. Then, we present the results of an exhaustive study of the genetic factors of age-related macular degeneration by using an information system that was developed with the aim of enhancing the management of complex genomic data. Finally, we state how the connection of both perspectives through the use of conceptual models can benefit clinicians and patients through a more accurate Medicine of Precision. The authors would like to thank the members of the PROS Research Center Genome group for the fruitful discussions regarding the application of CM in the medical field. Impact of the noise on the emulated grid voltage signal in hardware-in-the-loop used in power converters

    Get PDF
This work evaluates the impact of the input voltage noise on a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) system used in the emulation of power converters. A poor signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) can compromise the accuracy and precision of the model, and even make certain techniques for building mathematical models unfeasible. The case study presents the noise effects on a digitally controlled totem-pole converter emulated with a low-cost HIL system using an FPGA. The effects on the model outputs, and the cost and influence of different hardware implementations, are evaluated. The noise of the input signals may limit the benefits of increasing the resolution of the model. This research was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation under Project PID2021-128941OB-I00 TRENTI–Efficient Energy Transformation in Industrial Environment

Multidirectional Light-Harvesting Enhancement in Dye Solar Cells by Surface Patterning

    Get PDF
One dimensional gratings patterned on the surface of nanocrystalline titania electrodes are used as a light harvesting strategy to improve the overall performance of dye solar cells under both frontal and rear illumination conditions. A soft-lithography-based micromoulding approach is employed to replicate a periodic surface relief pattern onto the surface of the electrode, which is later sensitized with a dye. As the patterned surface acts as an optical grating both in reflection and transmission modes, its effect is to increase the light path of diffracted beams within the absorbing layer when it is irradiated either from the electrode or the counter electrode for a broad range of angles of incidence on each surface. Full optical and photovoltaic characterization demonstrates not only the optical quality of the patterned surfaces but also the multidirectional character of the enhancement of light harvesting and conversion efficiency. The approach herein presented thus permits to preserve the operation of the cell when irradiated from its two faces while increasing its overall power conversion efficiency. This feature is a key advantage over other light harvesting efficiency enhancing methods, such as the deposition of a back diffuse scattering layer, in which the performance of the cell under illumination from one of its sides is enlarged at the expense of reducing the output under reverse irradiation conditions.European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme 307081Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad MAT2011–23593, CSD2007–00007Junta de Andalucía FQM524
