This study aims to assess the linkage between inequality and information access concerning criminal acts in Indonesia. Macro-level data of 33 provinces in Indonesia during 2012-2017 from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) were analyzed using panel data regression methods. The analysis affirms that Fixed Effect Model (FEM) is the most appropriate model in explaining criminal behavior. Interestingly, poverty reduction leads in increasing crime activity. There is not enough evidence that inequality and information access influence crime. It is necessary to reconsider the use of microdata to determine the effect of inequality and access to information on crime

The Effect of Problem-Based Learning Model Assisted by Contextual Videos on Students’ Learning Outcomes in The Subject of Sound Waves

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models assisted by contextual videos on student learning outcomes in sound wave material. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA SMAN 4 Mataram. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique, so that XI MIA 3 students were obtained as a control group using a conventional learning model and XI MIA 4 as an experimental group using a problem-based learning model assisted by contextual video. The instrument used is an observation sheet for affective and psychomotor assessment, a multiple choice test that refers to the cognitive abilities of students from C1 to C6 as many as 18 items taking into account the validity, reliability, discriminatory power and difficulty level of the questions. Study result data were analyzed using parametric statistics, namely t-test polled variance with a significant level of 5% and obtained t_count of 3.77 and t_table of 1.99. According to the hypothesis testing criteria, if t_count>t_table, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that the contextual video-assisted problem-based learning model influences student learning outcomes in sound wave material

First Language Acquisition Analysis Of A One Year Five Month Child “Mateo”

First language acquisition has an essential role in children's development. This paper aimed to know the use of language acquisition by a Youtube video. Descriptive  qualitative methods have been used to carry out this research. It used five procedures of collecting the data are taking the data from a Youtube video, transcribing the video, classifying, identifying, observing, and analyzing the data. Findings revealed from a child named Mateo that the speech contained phonological, morphological, and syntactical acquisition that showing the development of children in early acquisition. There were 37 words produced with all initial /b/. /d/, /h/, /m/, /n/. /p/. /m/ and /p/ from initial sounds. Then, in syntax acquisition, the researcher found 2 commands. Thus, Mateo’s language acquisition has revealed morphological, phonological, and syntactical acquisition

The archaeal ATPase PINA interacts with the helicase Hjm via its carboxyl terminal KH domain remodeling and processing replication fork and Holliday junction.

PINA is a novel ATPase and DNA helicase highly conserved in Archaea, the third domain of life. The PINA from Sulfolobus islandicus (SisPINA) forms a hexameric ring in crystal and solution. The protein is able to promote Holliday junction (HJ) migration and physically and functionally interacts with Hjc, the HJ specific endonuclease. Here, we show that SisPINA has direct physical interaction with Hjm (Hel308a), a helicase presumably targeting replication forks. In vitro biochemical analysis revealed that Hjm, Hjc, and SisPINA are able to coordinate HJ migration and cleavage in a concerted way. Deletion of the carboxyl 13 amino acid residues impaired the interaction between SisPINA and Hjm. Crystal structure analysis showed that the carboxyl 70 amino acid residues fold into a type II KH domain which, in other proteins, functions in binding RNA or ssDNA. The KH domain not only mediates the interactions of PINA with Hjm and Hjc but also regulates the hexameric assembly of PINA. Our results collectively suggest that SisPINA, Hjm and Hjc work together to function in replication fork regression, HJ formation and HJ cleavage

Pengembangan Laboratorium Virtual Gelombang Bunyi Berbasis HTML5, CSS, Dan JavaScript

This development research aims to produce and test the validity and practicality of the product in the form of a sound wave virtual laboratory so that it can be used as a learning support. Sound wave is an abstract physics concept. The type of research used in this research is research and development with research design, namely research on the development of 4D models (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The define stage includes initial and final analysis, user analysis and device requirements analysis. The design stage includes the initial design of the virtual laboratory, format selection and design improvements. The develop stage includes product creation, product validation, product revision, limited trials. The disseminate stage is carried out by distributing the virtual laboratory by uploading to the website the sound wave virtual laboratory which is developed based on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The validity of the virtual laboratory was calculated using CVI with the acquisition of expert validators and practitioner validators of 0.96 with valid criteria. While the reliability of the virtual laboratory is calculated using the percentage of agreement with the acquisition of expert validators and practitioner validators 92.06% in the reliable category. The results of the practicality of the virtual laboratory based on student responses showed results of 84.38% in the very practical category. Thus the sound wave virtual laboratory based on HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript is valid and very practical to use to support high school physics learning

Characterization of Amylase Production by Saccharomyces cerevisiae W303A Recombinants. Cloning of amylase gene from Endomycopsis fibuligera ITB.R.cc.64 into S. cerevisiae W303a can effectively increase the yeast function to digest starch directly into ethanol. Production of amylase by S. cerevisiae W303a recombinants (I and P) were done by growing in yeast peptone starch (YPS) medium. The result showed that the recombinants could be produced of amylase by gave clear zone after staining by iodium vapor. The optimum condition of production of amylase by S. cerevisiae W303a recombinants were pH 7.0, 40?C temperature incubation, and gave maximum activity after 36 hours incubation. Amylase activity of I was higher than P recombinant for these condition respectively

PT Trans Pratama Logistik is a company engaged in export, import, and domestic services. The purpose of this study is to analyze marketing strategies and digital media that influence the marketing process and analyze the benefits generated by marketing using digital media. In this study, the analysis and development of digital media-based marketing strategies for logistics services were carried out using the SWOT method. The research method used is a qualitative one, with data collection through interviews. The results of the SWOT analysis that has been carried out show that PT Trans Pratama Logistik, in terms of digital marketing, is in quadrant I. The strategy that is suitable for the company is an aggressive or growth-oriented marketing strategy. means the company must expand, enlarge, and accelerate the company's growth. One form of digital marketing that is suitable for application is the use of search engines, social media, and YouTube. PT Trans Pratama Logistik needs to strengthen company branding, develop products that function to maintain positioning, and improve service quality among competitors. In addition, the quality of the internet network needs to be improved in order to facilitate communication with potential customers. Invest in bandwidth usage and the network used
