Uma aproximação antropológica ingoldiana na elaboração do Plano Diretor Socioespacial da Rocinha – RJ (2005 a 2007)

O presente artigo propõe-se a estabelecer uma relação entre o estudo de Habitação de Interesse Social (HIS) aplicado para a Rocinha, Rio de Janeiro, cuja proposta foi coordenada pelo arquiteto Luiz Carlos Toledo durante a elaboração do Plano Diretor Socioespacial da Rocinha (2005 a 2007), e uma visão antropológica entre organismos e meio ambiente baseada em Tim Ingold, considerando a relação sistêmica e sinérgica destes no âmbito do projeto desenvolvido. Num primeiro momento, compreende-se a noção de interesse social no âmbito do Estatuto da Cidade, abordando o contraponto urbanístico que seria a Rocinha com suas autoedificações, para, então, acompanhar a metodologia adotada no referido plano diretor, pautada na participação dos moradores locais. Dentro das questões de edificação, aborda-se a adesão da qualidade arquitetônica para além de uma forma dada, eminentemente técnica, isto é, avança-se para a relação de percepção do ambiente como reconstrução de uma realidade natural (saber da arquitetura) em termos de uma metáfora da cultura (o indivíduo historicamente situado), cuja proposição final seria uma linguagem nova para o Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida (PMCMV), numa revisão do trabalho da HIS rumo a uma ecologia da vida

Trabalho e sindicalismo: memória dos 30 anos do movimento de Osasco

Nesta entrevista, Regis de Castro Andrade conta sua experiência na famosa greve de Osasco de 1968, quando era membro do POC e lá trabalhava auxiliando a organização das bases operárias. Realça sua visão de que o movimento teve seus fundamentos na própria organização interna dos operários, com a ajuda dos estudantes, em contraposição a outras que vêem aquele movimento como fruto da articulação do movimento estudantil. Conta também algumas de suas experiências de clandestinidade, prisão e exílio nos anos que se seguiram, até a reorganização do movimento operário no fim da década de 70.In this interview, Regis de Castro Andrade tells us about his experience in the famous strike in Osasco in 1968, in wich he was a member who helped in the organization of the moviment. He enfasizes his point of view that the moviment originated from an internal organization among the employees, who were only helped by the students. This idea is a contrary idea if compared to the statements wich asure that the movement was completelly organized by the students. Are we neglecting earth while conquering space? Effects of aluminized solid rocket fuel combustion on the physiology of a tropical freshwater invertebrate

Space launchers often use aluminized-solid fuel ("propergol") as propellant and its combustion releases tons of Al2O3 and HCl that sink in terrestrial and aquatic environments, polluting and decreasing water pH. We studied the impact of these events on the biochemical/physiological performance of the freshwater shrimp Macrobrachium jelskii, with wild specimens collected from a non-impacted site in French Guiana. In the laboratory, shrimps were exposed for one week to: i) undisturbed conditions; ii) Al2O3 exposure (0.5 mg L-1) at normal pH (6.6); iii) decreased pH (4.5) (mimicking HCl release in the environment) with no Al2O3; or iv) Al2O3 0.5 mg L-1 and pH 4.5, representing the average conditions found in the water bodies around the Ariane 5 launch pad. Results showed that shrimps bioaccumulated aluminium (Al) regardless of water pH. The combined effect of Al2O3 and low pH caused the most impact: acetylcholinesterase and carboxylesterase activities decreased, indicating neurotoxicity and reduced detoxification capacity, respectively. Animal respiration was enhanced with Al2O3 and pH variations alone, but the synergic interaction of both stressors caused respiration to decrease, suggesting metabolic depression. Oxidative damage followed a similar pattern to respiration rates across conditions, suggesting free radical-mediation in Al toxicity. Antioxidant activities varied among enzymes, with glutathione reductase being the most impacted by Al2O3 exposure. This study shows the importance of addressing space ports' impact on the environment, setting the bases for selecting the most appropriate biomarkers for future monitoring programs using a widespread and sensitive crustacean in the context of an increasing space-oriented activity across the world.publishe

Políticas de responsabilização escolar: um estudo exploratório sobre as estratégias de instâncias intermediárias na rede municipal do rio de janeiro

Este artigo tem como objetivo investigar as diretrizes gerais da política de responsabilização escolar adotada pela Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SME) do Rio de Janeiro a partir de 2009 e sua implementação a partir da mediação das suas instâncias intermediárias. Busca identificar a relação das estratégias das Coordenadorias Regionais de Educação (CREs) com as diretrizes da SME, bem como investigar as semelhanças e diferenças das percepções e estratégias adotadas pelas CREs. Nas análises de dados, o estudo utilizou documentos oficiais que regulamentam as políticas de responsabilização escolar da SME selecionados a partir do diário oficial de 2009 a 2013, dados das avaliações da Prova Rio e Prova Brasil (2005-2012) e entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com gestoras de quatro Coordenadorias Regionais de Educação. Resultados preliminares mostram um desenho com forte característica de corresponsabilização. As análises também mostram diferenças na relação estabelecida entre escolas e instâncias intermediárias bem como nas estratégias adotadas pelas CREs para auxiliar as escolas

A ORDEM PÚBLICA COMO FUNDAMENTO DA PRISÃO PREVENTIVA

A liberdade de locomoção é um direito assegurado aos indivíduos para que desfrutem de outras garantias fundamentais ao seu desenvolvimento. Todavia, quando o indivíduo abusa ao usufruir de tais garantias, sofre como restrição, a perda da liberdade de locomoção. No ordenamento jurídico vigente, encontra-se como modalidade de prisão cautelar, a preventiva, a qual dentre seus requisitos apresenta-se a garantia da ordem pública. Esta locução mostra-se obscura e prolixa, o que dificulta a atuação do jurista ao fundamentar o decreto de prisão. Por isso este artigo apresenta como objetivo elucidar o sentido da expressão ordem pública, visando facilitar a atuação dos profissionais do Direito. Para esta elucidação, realizou-se pesquisas em várias obras e periódicos para embasar o posicionamento. O presente artigo possibilitou concluir que a ordem pública destina a tutelar os interesses da coletividade quando estes se encontram violados ou ameaçados de violação, sem contudo, utilizar-se do clamor público

ATTRIBUTES OF DYSTROPHIC LATOSOL IN SOUTHERN MINAS GERAIS AFTER APPLICATION OF SEWAGE SLUDGE

In general, tropical soils present low natural fertility, which results in a greatamount of degraded areas if it is associated with improper handling. Sewagesludge, due to its high levels of organic matter and nutrients, can improve soilproperties. Thus, this study evaluated the conditioning and fertilizing effectsof sewage sludge on the attributes of a typical dystrophic latosol in SouthernMinas Gerais. The experiment evaluated the application of sludge fromSantana wastewater treatment plant in Varginhas (Minas Gerais, Brazil) inpots, with concentrations equivalent to 60, 120, and 180 t ha-1, and a controltreatment without sludge. The sewage sludge has increased the levels oforganic matter, cation-exchange capacity, sum of the bases and nutrients,as well as increased porosity and decreased soil density, thus indicating thepotential for conditioning and fertilizing agricultural soils

Dopamine up-regulates Th17 phenotype from individuals with generalized anxiety disorder

AbstractOur objective was to evaluate the effect of stress-related dose of dopamine (DA) on the in vitro proliferation and cytokine production in polyclonally-activated T cells from healthy individuals or individuals with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Our results demonstrated that cell cultures from GAD group proliferated less following T cell activation, as compared with control group. The addition of DA reduced the proliferative response in cell cultures from healthy but not from GAD individuals. The cytokine profile in GAD individuals revealed Th1 and Th2 deficiencies associated with a dominant Th17 phenotype, which was enhanced by DA. A similar DA-induced immunomodulation was also observed in PPD-activated cell cultures from GAD individuals. Unlike the control, DA-enhanced Th17 cytokine production in GAD individuals was not affected by glucocorticoid. In conclusion, our results show that the T cell functional dysregulation in GAD individuals is significantly amplified by DA. These immune abnormalities can have impact in increasing the susceptibility of individuals with anxiety disorders to infectious diseases and inflammatory/autoimmune disorders

Resistance to Meloidogyne enterolobii in sweet potatoes

The present work was designed to select for sweet potatoes clones (Ipomoea batatas) resistant to Meloidogyne enterolobii (Syn. M. mayaguensis) as well as evaluate the efficiency of the selection methods used by estimating their genetic (VCg) and environmental (VCe) variation coefficients as well as broad sense heritability. A total of 142 sweet potato genotypes were tested, including four commercial varieties (Brazlândia Rosada, Brazlândia Roxa, Brazlândia Branca, and Palmas) as well as the Santa Clara tomato cultivar (utilized as a susceptibility standard). The experimental design was completely randomized blocks, in two repetitions of six plants each. Resistance levels were classified according to the numbers of eggs per gram of roots, the reproduction factor (RF), and the reproduction index (RI) relative to the Santa Clara tomato cultivar. The b= VCg/VCe ratio and broad sense heritability were high in terms of the numbers of eggs per gram of roots, as well as in terms of the reproduction factor and reproduction index, demonstrating the efficiency of the methodology used in the selection of resistant genotypes. A HERANÇA DO DIREITO ROMANO NO DIREITO BRASILEIRO

Este artigo trata de um tema que é extremamente relevante, pelo fato de os princípios e normas do sistema de Roma constituirem a base do Direito de vários países, sendo um deles o Brasil. Assim, como este teve como objetivo abordar a influencia do direito Romano no direito brasileiro, preliminarmente, conceitua-se o Direito Romano e os principais acontecimentos que ensejaram o seu nascimento. Na seqüência, enfoca-se a influencia do direito romano no direito brasileiro nas áreas de direito civil, processo civil e direito penal. No campo do direito civil, o direito romano influencia fortemente todas as ramificações, todavia, deu-se enfoque à seara das pessoas, bens e obrigações. No tocante ao processo civil, demonstrou-se que princípio vigente na atualidade, como o princípio do dispositivo, da oralidade surgiu no direito romano. E por fim, no direito penal as práticas romanas influenciaram na percepção sobre a finalidade da pena, ou seja, os requisitos subjetivos existentes na legislação atual foram oriundos do surgimento de escolas penais clássicas, as quais advieram em razão do caráter da pena imposto pela lei das XII Tábuas e práticas pretéritas de castigo. Finalmente, em conclusão, comprova-se a importância do estudo do Direito Romano para a formação teórica prática do jurista brasileiro

Generalized hereditary gingival fibromatosis in a child: clinical, histopathological and therapeutic aspects

Hereditary gingival fibromatosis (HGF) is a rare genetic condition characterized by slow and progressive gingival enlargement. The gingival overgrowth often delays teeth eruption and may cause serious functional and aesthetic problems. We reported a case of a 10-year-old female child presenting a generalized gingival enlargement covering almost all the maxillary and mandibular teeth and resulted in problems for swallowing, speaking, and poor aesthetics. An incisional biopsy was performed and revealed a hypocellular and hypovascular dense collagenous tissue covered by squamous epithelium exhibiting acanthosis and elongated rete ridges. The diagnosis was HGF. The treatment instituted was an association of gingivectomy with a rigorous program of oral hygiene and follow-up. Herein, we describe a rare non-syndromic case of generalized HGF, including clinical and microscopical features, as well as highlighting the importance of correct diagnosis of this genetic condition
