Electron Scattering on 3He - a Playground to Test Nuclear Dynamics
The big spectrum of electron induced processes on 3He is illustrated by
several examples based on Faddeev calculations with modern nucleon-nucleon and
three-nucleon forces as well as exchange currents. The kinematical region is
restricted to a mostly nonrelativistic one where the three-nucleon c.m. energy
is below the pion production threshold and the three-momentum of the virtual
photon is sufficiently below the nucleon mass. Comparisons with available data
are shown and cases of agreement and disagreement are found. It is argued that
new and precise data are needed to systematically check the present day
dynamical ingredients.Comment: 27 pages, 24 figure
An investigation study of the image of a nurse
To investigate the image of a nurse, we selected 90 pairs of adjective imaging a nurse and executed "a nurse image questionnaire" to 263 nursing students. The result using factor analysis method showed five factors (48 items), which were "professional competence", "personality trait", "physical burden", "intelligence", "occupational attractiveness".departmental bulletin pape
Development of a Data- and Network Scheduling for Grid Computing Indluding a Flexible Evaluation Mechanism
Data Mining Methods Applied to a Digital Forensics Task for Supervised Machine Learning
Digital forensics research includes several stages. Once we have collected the data the last goal is to obtain a model in order to predict the output with unseen data. We focus on supervised machine learning techniques. This chapter performs an experimental study on a forensics data task for multi-class classification including several types of methods such as decision trees, bayes classifiers, based on rules, artificial neural networks and based on nearest neighbors. The classifiers have been evaluated with two performance measures: accuracy and Cohen’s kappa. The followed experimental design has been a 4-fold cross validation with thirty repetitions for non-deterministic algorithms in order to obtain reliable results, averaging the results from 120 runs. A statistical analysis has been conducted in order to compare each pair of algorithms by means of t-tests using both the accuracy and Cohen’s kappa metrics
Innovating innovation policy: the emergence of ‘Responsible Research and Innovation’
Within the policy structures of the European Union (EU), the concept of ‘Responsible Research and Innovation’ (RRI) appears to have a very specific emergence point, via a workshop for invited experts hosted by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation in May 2011. Through a textual analysis of EU documents, this paper will explore the processes through which RRI has been incorporated into Horizon 2020 as a policy framework for the European Research Area which promises that technological innovation will be shaped towards social goods. It concludes by discussing some of the tensions between RRI and policies emanating from other EU institutions, highlighting areas which may impede RRI's progress towards its goals
Shear behavior of non-functionalized polyalkylmethacrylate solutions under transition from EHL to TFL
Oil film thickness of the oils containing non-functionalized polyalkylmethacrylate (PAMA) were determined under pure rolling condition between 0.001m/s and 1m/s and a temperature of 40℃ with a glass disk-on-steel roller tester. The measurements for PAMA solutions with short chain of alkyl group (C1mix) showed a pronounced enhancement of film thickness in the low speeds, while those for long chain (C16mix) fell on the theoretical line. Adsorption test indicated the increase in film thickness was due to absorbed layer formed by polymer molecule. Then, traction behaviour was studied by varying the rolling speed under a slide/roll ratio of 50% with a sapphire disk-on-steel roller tester. In traction-speed curves, the measurements of all the polymer solutions fell on the base oil line in the high speeds. At the speed of 0.1m/s, the traction for HMw-C1mix and C16mix solutions deviated downward from the base oil line, while that for C1mix solution was higher than the other polymer solutions. The traction-film parameter curves suggested that the traction for C1mix and HMw-C1mix solutions was influenced by the mutual interaction of polymer molecules in the partial EHL region including thin film lubrication, where the concentration of polymer is high compared to bulk solution.departmental bulletin pape
