    La pedagogía de Alfonso de Castro en sus homilías sobre el Salmo 50

    El error protestante requería para contrarrestarlo de una predicación sólida que transmitiese fielmente la recta doctrina católica. Alfonso de Castro O. F. M se convirtió en un paladín de este cometido gracias a unas dotes oratorias que le llevaron a ser predicador real de la mano de Felipe II. Gran parte de ese éxito se debe a la utilización por parte del fraile franciscano de una pedagogía concreta heredada de su labor como docente en las aulas salmantinas del Convento de San Francisco. En el presente artículo repasamos los mecanismos pedagógicos que el autor utiliza en las cinco primeras homilías dedicadas al miserere para tratar de modelar discursivamente la doctrina y hacerla asequible para el auditorio.The protestant error required to counteract a solid preaching to transmit faithfully the straight Catholic doctrine. In this article we revisit the pedagogical mechanisms used by the author in the first five homilies dedicated to the Miserere to try to shape discursivamente the doctrine and make it affordable for the auditorium.peerReviewe

    El objetivo de la presente publicación es el de contribuir a los estudios en torno a los conceptos de uso, dominio y propiedad en el ámbito de la reflexión sobre la antropología de la economía en la Escuela de Salamanca. En la medida en que hablamos de signos lingüísticos dinámicos tanto en su significante como en su significado, proponemos la necesidad de elaborar un estudio diacrónico de tales términos desde su significado etimológico hasta su uso en la actualidad. Este eje de evolución cronológica debería servir de referente para que otras disciplinas como la filosofía, la historia del derecho, etc. valoren la desviación semántica que supone la utilización de uso, dominio y propiedad como terminología en un contexto concreto y en una época determinada.The main target of the current paper is contributing to the study about the concepts of usage, domain and property on the field of reflexion about Economy's Anthropology in the School of Salamanca. As far as we refer to dynamic linguistic signs, considering both signifier and significance, we recommend the production of a diachronic study of such terms from their ethimological meaning to its present usage. This central concept of chronological evolution should be an example of assessment of semantic digression (in other disciplines such as Phylosophy, History of Law, etc) when using the previously mentioned terms of usage, domain and property as terminology in a specific context and a certain time.peerReviewe

    El predicador franciscano del s. XVI Alfonso de Castro escribe un conjunto de veinticinco homilías dedicadas al salmo 50. En su composición se mezclan de forma continua y magistral periodos de discurso que son propios del autor junto con otros ajenos al mismo y de procedencia distinta. En el presente artículo abordamos la presencia de este discurso ajeno en virtud de dos necesidades específicas: en primer lugar, revisar y actualizar una propuesta tipológica anterior y en segundo lugar profundizar en la distribución de tales periodos a lo largo de los sermones, así como en los mecanismos utilizados por el autor a la hora de intercalarlos entre sus propias palabras.post-print521 K

    A Q fever outbreak associated to courier transport of pets

    On August 3rd, 2017, a Q fever outbreak alert was issued at a courier company that in addition to urgent freight transport offered pet delivery services. The epidemiological investigation set the exposition period between June 1 and August 8. In this period, 180 workers from two operational platforms for parcel distribution located in two provinces of the Basque Country (Bizkaia and Araba) were exposed; 64 filled a questionnaire and provided blood samples for serological testing, resulting in 10 confirmed cases (15.6%) and six (9.4%) probable cases. Nine workers (8 confirmed and 1 probable) showed Q fever symptoms, including pneumonia (five cases), and required medical care services, including one hospital admission. The attack rate was 25% (16/64), being higher among workers that visited the Bizkaia platform. This suggested that the origin of the outbreak was in the Bizkaia platform, where animals in transit waited at a pet holding site until being moved to their destination. Environmental samples consisting on 19 surface dust and two aerosol samples were collected at the Bizkaia platform to investigate the presence of C. burnetti DNA. All dust samples were positive by real time PCR, the lowest Ct values being found in dust collected at the pet holding facilities, and therefore suggesting that contamination originated at the pet holding site. The genotype identified in dust was SNP1/MST13, one of the most commonly identified genotypes in goats and sheep in the Basque Country. During the exposure period, two deliveries of miniature goats were made, of which only one could be investigated and tested negative. Although the contamination source could not be unequivocally identified, transport of ruminants was banned at the company, and Q fever was included among the occupational-associated health risks.This work was funded by the Spanish National Institute for Agricultural and Food Research and Technology (INIA) (RTA2017-00055-C02-00), the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) and the Basque Government.     Compuestos perfluorados en equinodermos marinos: metodología analítica para su determinación y monitorización

    Los disruptores endocrinos están en el punto de mira de estudios ambientales y ecotoxicológicos. Entre ellos destacan los compuestos perfluorados, tanto por su amplio uso industrial y doméstico como por su elevada actividad estrogénica. Se descargan al medio ambiente a través de efluentes industriales y de estaciones depuradoras de aguas residuales afectando principalmente a la biota donde pueden bioacumularse. En este trabajo se propone un método analítico para la determinación de seis compuestos perfluorados en organismos marinos (Holothuria tubulosa) y se lleva a cabo un programa de monitorización ambiental para el seguimiento de estos compuestos. El análisis de las muestras se realizó mediante extracción con disolventes, limpieza del extracto por extracción en fase sólida dispersiva y posterior determinación mediante cromatografía de líquidos con detección de espectrometría de masas en tándem. Las recuperaciones obtenidas se situaron en el rango de 84 a 101 % y límites de cuantificación inferior a 0,03 ng/g (peso seco (ps)). Todas las muestras dieron positivas en el análisis de los contaminantes con concentraciones entre 667 ng/g (ps) para el ácido perfluorooctanoico y 0,81 ng/g (ps) para el ácido perfluoropentanoico. Además, se observaron concentraciones más elevadas para los compuestos perfluorados de mayor cadena fluorocarbonada.In recent years endocrine disruptors have come into the spotlight of environmental and ecotoxicological studies. Among them, perfluorinated compounds stand out, both, for their wide industrial and domestic use and for their elevated estrogenic activity, showing adverse effects at trace level. They are released into the environment through industrial waste and wastewater discharges affecting to marine organisms, where they can accumulate. To contribute to this goal, this work proposes an analytical method for the simultaneous determination of six perfluorinated compounds in marine organisms (Holothuria tubulosa) and an environmental monitoring program is carried out in these organisms. The sample treatment involve steps of solvent extraction and clean-up of the extracts with dispersive sorbents prior to liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry analysis. Recoveries between 84 and 101 %, precision (RSD < 9 %) and limits of quantification below 0.03 ng/g dry weight (d.w.) were achieved. All tested samples were positive in the analysis of contaminants with concentrations between 667 ng/g (dw) for perflorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and 0.81 ng/g (dw) for perfloropentanoic acid (PFPeA). In general, perfluorinated compounds of larger fluorocarbonated chain were quantified at higher concentration levels than those of shorter one.Plan Propio de la Universidad de Sevilla Proyecto: 2017/0000096

    Artificial intelligence within the interplay between natural and artificial computation:Advances in data science, trends and applications

    Artificial intelligence and all its supporting tools, e.g. machine and deep learning in computational intelligence-based systems, are rebuilding our society (economy, education, life-style, etc.) and promising a new era for the social welfare state. In this paper we summarize recent advances in data science and artificial intelligence within the interplay between natural and artificial computation. A review of recent works published in the latter field and the state the art are summarized in a comprehensive and self-contained way to provide a baseline framework for the international community in artificial intelligence.
