Dimirovski, Georgi M. (Dogus Author)The output tracking control problem for fuzzy time-delay systems in presence of parameter perturbations has been solved via fuzzy T-S system models and variable-structure control approach. Following the reaching condition, a variable-structure fuzzy control method is proposed accordingly, when the time delay is known and available and when unknown and unavailable. The method guarantees the system operation arrives to the sliding surface in finite time interval and be kept there thereafter while tracking the desired trajectory. The sufficient condition for globally bounded state is derived by using the ISS theory and the LMI method. A simulation example demonstrates the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method.16th Triennial World Congress of International, Federation of Automatic Control, IFAC 200

Hierarchical distributed model predictive control based on fuzzy negotiation

    Get PDF
This work presents a hierarchical distributed model predictive control approach for multiple agents with cooperative negotiations based on fuzzy inference. Specifically, a fuzzy-based two-layer control architecture is proposed. In the lower control layer, there are pairwise negotiations between agents according to the couplings and the communication network. The resulting pairwise control sequences are sent to a coordinator in the upper control layer, which merges them to compute the final ones. Furthermore, conditions to guarantee feasibility and stability in the closed-loop system are provided. The proposed control algorithm has been tested on an eightcoupled tank plant via simulation

Integral Sliding Mode Control for Markovian Jump T-S Fuzzy Descriptor Systems Based on the Super-Twisting Algorithm

    Get PDF
This paper investigates integral sliding mode control problems for Markovian jump T-S fuzzy descriptor systems via the super-twisting algorithm. A new integral sliding surface which is continuous is constructed and an integral sliding mode control scheme based on a variable gain super-twisting algorithm is presented to guarantee the well-posedness of the state trajectories between two consecutive switchings. The stability of the sliding motion is analyzed by considering the descriptor redundancy and the properties of fuzzy membership functions. It is shown that the proposed variable gain super-twisting algorithm is an extension of the classical single-input case to the multi-input case. Finally, a bio-economic system is numerically simulated to verify the merits of the method proposed

Event-triggered distributed H∞ state estimation with packet dropouts through sensor networks

This study is concerned with the event-triggered distributed H∞ state estimation problem for a class of discrete-time stochastic non-linear systems with packet dropouts in a sensor network. An event-triggered communication mechanism is adopted over the sensor network with hope to reduce the communication burden and the energy consumption, where the measurements on each sensor are transmitted only when a certain triggering condition is violated. Furthermore, a novel distributed state estimator is designed where the available innovations are not only from the individual sensor, but also from its neighbouring ones according to the given topology. The purpose of the problem under consideration is to design a set of distributed state estimators such that the dynamics of estimation errors is exponentially mean-square stable and also the prespecified H∞ disturbance rejection attenuation level is guaranteed. By utilising the property of the Kronecker product and the stochastic analysis approaches, sufficient conditions are established under which the addressed state estimation problem is recast as a convex optimisation one that can be easily solved via available software packages. Finally, a simulation example is utilised to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed design scheme of event-triggered distributed state estimators. This work was supported in part by Royal Society of the UK, the National Natural Science Foundation of China under Grants 61329301, 61203139, 61473076, 61374127 and 61422301, the Shanghai Rising-Star Program of China under Grant 13QA1400100, the ShuGuang project of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Shanghai Education Development Foundation under Grant 13SG34, the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, DHU Distinguished Young Professor Program, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany

Dissipativity analysis of stochastic fuzzy neural networks with randomly occurring uncertainties using delay dividing approach

    Get PDF
This paper focuses on the problem of delay-dependent robust dissipativity analysis for a class of stochastic fuzzy neural networks with time-varying delay. The randomly occurring uncertainties under consideration are assumed to follow certain mutually uncorrelated Bernoulli-distributed white noise sequences. Based on the Itô's differential formula, Lyapunov stability theory, and linear matrix inequalities techniques, several novel sufficient conditions are derived using delay partitioning approach to ensure the dissipativity of neural networks with or without time-varying parametric uncertainties. It is shown, by comparing with existing approaches, that the delay-partitioning projection approach can largely reduce the conservatism of the stability results. Numerical examples are constructed to show the effectiveness of the theoretical results

This paper deals with combination of two powerful and modern control tools as linear matrix inequality that is used for synthesis a ‘crisp’ controller and a fuzzy control approach for designing a soft controller. The control design consists of two stages. The first stage investigates the problem of a robust an H2 controller design with parameters uncertainties of the handled plant in the presence of external disturbances. Stability onditions are obtained via a quadratic Lyapunov function and represented in the form of linear matrix inequalities. The second stage consists of the outer loop controller construction based on fuzzy inference system that utilizes for altitude hold mode. The parameters of the fuzzy controller are adjusted with a gradient descent method in order to improve the performance of the overall system. The case study illustrates the efficiency of the proposed approach to the flight control of small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
