    The purpose of this paper is to identify the main opportunities and limitations of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The survey was defined with the aim to involve the highest possible number of relevant CSR topics and give the issue a more wholesome perspective. It provides a basis for further comprehension and deeper analyses of specific CSR areas. The conditions determining the success of CSR in Romania have been defined in the paper on the basis of the previously cumulative knowledge as well as the results of various researches.     Роботу виконано в Інституті прикладного системного аналізу Національного технічного університету України «Київський політехнічний інститут імені Ігоря Сікорського».У дисертаційній роботі розроблено системну методологію аналізу та оцінювання фінансових ризиків, яка ґрунтується на принципах системного аналізу та менеджменту ризиків, а також запропонованих принципах адаптивного та динамічного менеджменту ризиків. Методологія включає: комбінований метод обробки неповних та втрачених даних, ймовірнісно-статистичний метод оцінювання ризику фінансових втрат, динамічний метод оцінювання ризиків, який передбачає побудову різних типів моделей виживання, метод структурно-параметричної адаптації, застосування скорингової карти до аналізу ризиків фінансових систем і нейро-нечіткий метод доповнення вибірки відхиленими заявками. Містить критерії урахування інформаційного ризику, оцінки якості даних, прогнозів та рішень, квадратичний критерій якості опрацювання ризику та інтегральну характеристику оцінювання ефективності методів менеджменту ризиків. Практична цінність одержаних результатів полягає у створенні розширеної інформаційної технології та інформаційної системи підтримки прийняття рішень на основі запропонованої системної методології

    Yavaa: supporting data workflows from discovery to visualization

    Recent years have witness an increasing number of data silos being opened up both within organizations and to the general public: Scientists publish their raw data as supplements to articles or even standalone artifacts to enable others to verify and extend their work. Governments pass laws to open up formerly protected data treasures to improve accountability and transparency as well as to enable new business ideas based on this public good. Even companies share structured information about their products and services to advertise their use and thus increase revenue. Exploiting this wealth of information holds many challenges for users, though. Oftentimes data is provided as tables whose sheer endless rows of daunting numbers are barely accessible. InfoVis can mitigate this gap. However, offered visualization options are generally very limited and next to no support is given in applying any of them. The same holds true for data wrangling. Only very few options to adjust the data to the current needs and barely any protection are in place to prevent even the most obvious mistakes. When it comes to data from multiple providers, the situation gets even bleaker. Only recently tools emerged to search for datasets across institutional borders reasonably. Easy-to-use ways to combine these datasets are still missing, though. Finally, results generally lack proper documentation of their provenance. So even the most compelling visualizations can be called into question when their coming about remains unclear. The foundations for a vivid exchange and exploitation of open data are set, but the barrier of entry remains relatively high, especially for non-expert users. This thesis aims to lower that barrier by providing tools and assistance, reducing the amount of prior experience and skills required. It covers the whole workflow ranging from identifying proper datasets, over possible transformations, up until the export of the result in the form of suitable visualizations

    An Empirical Investigation Of Information Technology Mediated Customer Services In China

    Information technology mediated customer service is a reality of the 21st century. More and more companies have moved their customer services from in store and in person to online through computer or mobile devices. Using 208 respondents collected from two Chinese universities, this paper investigates customer preference over two service delivery model (either in store or online) on five type of purchasing (retail, eating-out, banking, travel and entertainment) and their perception difference in customer service quality between those two delivery model. Results show that a majority of Chinese students prefer in store and in person for eating out. For ordering tickets for travel and entertainment, they prefer computer/mobile device. For retail purchasing and banking, less than half of the students prefer in person services. In general, the results show that ordering through computer/mobile devices has become more popular in China and has received higher rating for most of customer service quality except security compared to ordering in store. In addition, it is found that there exist a gender difference in purchasing preference and perception in service delivery quality in China
