Periodismo ambiental y periodismo sostenible

En el presente artículo trataremos sobre el periodismo ambiental, para luego procurar teorizar sobre el periodismo sostenible. Finalizaremos deteniéndonos en los rasgos comunes y diferencias. El desarrollo sostenible es un nuevo modelo en la relación del ser humano con el entorno. En los medios de comunicación, cada vez aparecen más informaciones ambientales que se refieren a contenidos de este nuevo modelo. ¿Podemos hablar de periodismo sostenible? Nos decantamos por el sí, como una sub-especialidad más del periodismo ambiental.In the present article we will be about the enviromental journalism, for more later to try to theorize about the sustained journalism. We will finish the article with the common´s features and differences. The sustained development is a new kind in the relatioship between the human being and the enviroment. In the mass media the enviromental informations about this kind are growing. It is possible to talk about sustained journalism?. We think that yes, how a more sub-especiality of the environmental journalism

Periodismo alternativo en Brasil: ¿qué voces se escuchan?

This work presents partial findings of research that began in 2015 which aims to understand how alternative journalism is evolving in the digital sphere in Brazil. We discuss the concept of alternative journalism based on the context as well as the main characteristics of this kind of journalism, and focused our data gathering on the type of sources consulted by the websites. We considered four kinds of sources: Official, Unofficial, Expert, and Witness. We then used documental and content analysis of over 190 articles. This preliminary result shows that this kind of website cites, still, a majority of Official and Experts sources.Este trabajo presenta los resultados parciales de la investigación que comenzó en 2015 y tiene como objetivo comprender cómo se está desarrollando el periodismo alternativo en la esfera digital en Brasil. Discutimos aquí el concepto de periodismo alternativo en función del contexto, y las principales características posibles manejadas por este tipo de periodismo. Centramos nuestra búsqueda de datos en el tipo de fuentes consultadas por los sitios web seleccionados. Consideramos cuatro tipos de fuentes: Oficiales, no Oficiales, Expertos y Testigos. Como metodología, utilizamos el análisis documental y de contenido de más de 190 artículos. Este resultado muestra que este tipo de sitio web todavía cita una mayoría de fuentes Oficiales y de Expertos

College Students’ Views about the Journalism Education in Spain

The paper presents the results of a survey with a sample of 1,552 journalism students from five public universities during the academic year 2011-12. The research addresses two objectives: how students evaluate the journalism studies and to know if they believe the studies are necessary to purpose of exercising the profession. The results indicate that most students believe appropriate the journalism studies, but almost but almost 25% considered them unnecessary. Students assess the quality of the training received in schools with an approved. There has been a multiple linear regression to find which variables explain this evaluation. The most influential is the course you are enrolled, followed by functions that respondents give to faculties. The paper presents the advantage of working with data from the largest sample used so far, which also includes all courses and the first promotions of students in the undergraduate studies according to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). It can be a valuable starting point for further researchs to make decisions on the academic. The study is part of the Sudents Journalism Project with journalism students in seven countries: Australia, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland and the United States

El reportero a la luz de las nuevas corrientes de revitalización periodística

Este trabajo busca mostrar los principales aportes de las ocho corrientes de revitalización periodística más importantes que ha desarrollado esta profesión durante el último siglo. Para seleccionar estas contribuciones, se eligió la perspectiva del reportero. ¿Cuánto han aportado estas corrientes a suejercicio profesional? Es la pregunta que interesa resolver.Para ello, se ha revisado bibliografía sobre el periodismo de investigación, el nuevo periodismo, el periodismo de precisión, el periodismo de servicio, el periodismo de anticipación, el periodismo cívico, el periodismo de soluciones y el periodismo participativo. No se trata de un análisis crítico. Más bien,se ha coordinado los aportes de todas para seguir construyendo la profesionalidad

Students' perspective on on-line college education in the field of journalism

The advance in new technologies has changed the educational model considerably. On-line education has arrived with a bang at university and those degree courses linked to the field of communication have adopted this type of technologies. In just a few years, the number of courses available in the communication field that include on-line subjects has multiplied. It seems that this tendency of proliferation will continue due to a high demand for degrees in the communication field as well as the possibility of completing these degrees on-line. This paper shows the perspective that on-line journalism students at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid have on their studies. The results of a survey of students of the different courses that include the qualification allow us to gain a perspective of their experiences at the beginning and end of the studies. The questionnaire asks about socio-demographic traits from which we draw a sociological profile of on-line journalism student. It also delves into the motivations and expectations surrounding the decision to enrol in this mode and in its assessment both in terms of learning and the relationship between peers and teachers. Some of the conclusions point to the positive attitude of students and a satisfactory evaluation by the students

Nuevas fórmulas de periodismo: Periodismo de proximidad 2.0

Journalism has evolved dramatically in the epilogue of the last century and on the verge of a new era that we have just begun. The almost instant access to information, the proliferation of sources, rapid communication and Internet’s use outside the purely academic or professional work environment, has opened new windows for this ‘old’ profession that are progresively assimilated by journalists and readers.El periodismo ha evolucionado vertiginosamente en el epílogo del siglo pasado y en los prolegómenos del que recién hemos comenzado. El acceso casi instantáneo a la información, la proliferación de fuentes, la rapidez de comunicación y la externalización del uso de Internet fuera del ámbito meramente académico o profesional, propio del entorno laboral, ha abierto nuevas ventanas para esta ‘vieja’ profesión que poco a poco van siendo asimiladas por periodistas y lectores.Le journalisme a évolué de façon spectaculaire dans l’épilogue du dernier siècle et à la veille de ce que nous venons de commencer. L’accès presque instantané à l’information, la multiplication des sources, une communication rapide et l’externalisation utilisation d’Internet en dehors du milieu de travail purement académique ou professionnel même, a ouvert de nouvelles fenêtres pour cette «vieille» profession que peu à peu sont assimilés par les journalistes et les lecteurs
