    Cordoba “My first steps” in the modality of the internship has allowed trainee teachers to explore a real-life context working with young children from a vulnerable area in Monteria Cordoba, with the purpose of applying different strategies and practices that will help children in this program to get an initial encounter with the target language. Due to the difficulties of the current year and the inability of providing the face to face classes, the internship in the first semester 2020 has suffered some changes, and in order to continue the project, it was established to work in the designing of a unit plan and several lesson plans following some approaches that will be beneficial to this population of students. The objective of this paper is to describe my experience in this internship; designing some lesson plans for students at such a young age, as well as describing the activities carried out during the whole process of the internship.     Internship at bilingualism for peace of the University of Córdoba at el Sabanal School

    This internship was conducted in the Bilingualism for Peace program at El Sabanal School in Monteria with students of beginner level from the rural zone. The purpose of this internship was to gain experience of teaching English to children and also improve my performance as an English teacher. The pedagogies are several concepts that were addressed during the internship, learner-centered approach, task-based learning, e-learning and intercultural understanding, those elements were fundamental in the design of the units and lessons. Furthermore, the experience obtained inside the classroom and how the previous concepts are aligned with the suggested units and lessons are part of this report.     REDPETUR is a competency-based teaching network in the field of internships in tourism studies. Its goal is to successfully address the role of these studies in society and optimize the public resources used. This Network has carried out a series of activities, thanks to the financing of the Integral Teaching Plan of the University of Malaga, which have contributed to the adaptation of training in pandemic times using information technologies (IT) such as Virtual Campus and Icaro platform (an ecosystem which connects companies, students and teachers).     Este relatório surge na sequência do estágio realizado na Agência Evangelisti y Cia, em Alicante – Espanha, para a obtenção do grau de mestre na especialização de Design e Cultura Visual. Este relatório apresenta a descrição dos projetos desenvolvidos durante o período de estágio na agência, que permitiu consolidar e aprofundar os conhecimentos e as competências adquiridas na Licenciatura em Arquitetura no Politécnico de Milão e, posteriormente, no Mestrado em Design e Cultura Visual no IADE – Universidade Europeia. A oportunidade de realizar projetos reais em colaboração com uma equipa experiente foi ótima, tendo permitido desenvolver muitas capacidades praticas e profissionais e uma boa preparação para o desenvolvimento de novos projetos. Este estagio tocou diferentes áreas do Design, desde o Design Editorial ao Design de Identidade. Começou com a realização do projeto Cola e terminou com projeto ENSO 19, contribuindo desta forma para o desenvolvimento das capacidades criativas e responsabilidade na tomada de decisões rápidas, para cumprimentos dos prazos previstos.This report follows the internship held at the Evangelisti y Cia agency in Alicante – Spain to obtain the Master degree in the specialization of Design and Visual Culture. This report represents the description of the projects developed during the period of work in the agency, which allowed the consolidation and deepening of the knowledge and competences acquired in the architecture degree in the Polytechnic of Milan, followed by the master’s degree in Design and Visual Culture at IADE – Universidade Europeia. The opportunity to carry out real projects in collaboration with an experienced team was excellent, allowing for the development of many practical and professional skills, and it was a good preparation for the development of new projects. This internship touched on different areas of Design, from Editorial Design to Identity Design. It began with the realization of the Cola project and ended with the ENSO 19 project, thus contributing to the development of creative capacities and areas of responsibility for making fast decisions and meet deadlines

    Stress responses to salinity in a native fresh water snake (Nerodia rhombifer)

    Salinity stress at 0 ppt, 9 ppt, 18 ppt, and 27 ppt was investigated in Nerodia rhombifer, a fresh water snake. The purpose of this study was to establish if exposure to salinity could elicit a hormonal response in the form of corticosterone. Salinity treatment 27 ppt was lethal for 50% of the snakes. Factors such as population and gender differences were not significant, p=0.748 and p=0.135, respectively. Exposure to the different salinities did not significantly affect the overall mass of the animal, p=0.951. A significant increase in circulating corticosterone was noted in salinity treatments 0 ppt and 18 ppt, p=0.038. The data collected from this study, can be useful in explaining the distributional limits for N. rhombifer along the Rio Grande and in other riverine systems
