Jak powstrzymać ekspansję turecką w Europie, czyli o książce Wołodymyra Pyłypenki, W obliczu wroga. Polska literatura antyturecka od połowy XVI do połowy XVII wieku, Wydawnictwo Napoleon V, Oświęcim 2016, ss. 191

The book written by Wołodymyr Pyłypenko has been discussed in this article, related to the Polish literature of the period between the 16th and 17th century, which deals with the question of preventing the danger of the Turkish expansion against Christian Europe. Polish scientists have discussed these problems, they published many source documents presenting the problem of fighting the Turkish threat. Looking at the difficult neighbourhood of both Poland and Turkey, from the Kozak’s perspective is the newness of Pyłypenko’s book. His elaboration has many weak sides both in the whole construction and on the level of the semantics as well as in the contents, which was presented in the review.W artykule omówiono książkę Wołodymyra Pyłypenki, poświęconą polskiemu piśmiennictwu z XVI–XVII w., poruszającemu kwestię powstrzymania zagrożenia, jakie dla chrześcijańskiej Europy stwarzała wówczas ekspansja turecka. Polscy badacze omawiali już owe problemy, wydano również wiele tekstów źródłowych dotyczących problematyki zwalczania tureckiego zagrożenia. Nowością w publikacji W. Pyłypenki jest spojrzenie na trudne sąsiedztwo Rzeczypospolitej i Turcji z perspektywy kozaczyzny zaporoskiej. W pracy jest jednak dużo mankamentów, zarówno w warstwie konstrukcyjnej, aparatu pojęciowego, jak i treści merytorycznych, co wykazano w recenzji

Woluminy z nieznanymi rękopiśmiennymi dedykacjami dla prymasa Wojciecha Baranowskiego

The nine volumes, registered in the Catalogue of Polish prints from the 16th c. held in the Chapter Library in Gniezno by Rev. Leon Formanowicz and indicated as early as 1930, include hand-written dedication inscriptions dedicated to Wojciech Baranowski. These dedications have been complemented during a grant project headed by Dr. Piotr Pokora with four books that include hand- written dedications by three other persons. The gift books, discussed in a chronological order in the article, were donated by the Riga alderman Johann Tastius, secretary to the Brandenburg Elector Michael Giese and Cardinal Cezary Baroniusz and provide some additional information on the scope and directions of Primate Baranowski’s social relations. These relations, however, are analysed from the perspective of bookbinding studies. A particular attention is given to an attempt to define the nature of these dedications.Wskazane już w 1930 roku w Katalogu druków polskich XVI-go wieku Bibljoteki Kapitulnej w Gnieźnie ks. Leona Formanowicza dziewięć woluminów kryjących rękopiśmienne wpisy dedykacyjne dla Wojciecha Baranowskiego uzupełnione zostały w trakcie projektu grantowego kierowanego przez doktora Piotra Pokorę o następne cztery księgi zawierające rękopiśmienne dedykacje od trzech osób. Omówione chronologicznie w tekście książkowe dary wójta ryskiego Johanna Tastiusa, sekretarza elektora brandenburskiego Michaela Giese oraz kardynała Cezara Baroniusza, które dostarczają informacji o zasięgu i kierunku nawiązywanych przez Baranowskiego relacji społecznych, zanalizowano na płaszczyźnie tegumentologicznej. The hodonyms and agoronyms as an expression of the ideology, culture and propaganda in Poland during the Second World Wa

The article presents the results of the analysis of the trends in the changing of the names for streets and squares of a selection of towns and villages in the Busko County during the Second World War. The examples are sorted because of the function of the name: the hodonyms, which show a direction, the hodonyms with the lokalization function, the possessive hodonyms, the hodonyms with describing function, the names of streets, which remind about the important people or events. Despite of it is drawn the attention to the tendencies of the names' giving in each place.Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań tendencji w zmianie nazw ulic i placów wybranych miast i miejscowości w powiecie buskim podczas II wojny światowej. Przykłady zostały pogrupowane ze względu na funkcję nazw: hodonimy wskazujące kierunek, hodonimy lokalizujące, hodonimy o charakterze posesywnym, hodonimy z funkcją charakteryzującą oraz hodonimy upamiętniające sławne postacie i ważne wydarzenia
