Secure transactions using mobile agents with TTP

Electronic commerce has pushed and benefited from the development of mobile agents technology. One of the reasons is electronic commerce needs remote searching and negotiating between one customer and a number of E-shops. Mobile agents can travel over the Intranet or Internet. Therefore, mobile agents can help the customer or E-shops with remote searching and negotiating. However, because of the heterogeneousness of the networks the mobile agents migrate to, security issues should be tackled with cautions. This paper presents a new secure electronic commerce protocol. The underlying transactions are accomplished with mobile agents. A trusted third party (in fact, a trusted authority) is involved in the protocol

E-commerce settles for established payment systems: Limited market potential for innovative payment systems

Established payment systems play a dominant role also in B2C e-commerce. Innovative payment systems can only be a success here if they pay attention to the particular features of e-commerce, convey the worth of their value-adding unique selling proposition and enjoy the support of established e-shops or financial service providers. However, apart from rare cases the conventional payment systems leave little room for the innovative systems. This holds all the more since the conventional payment systems are responding to the new demands of B2C e-commerce.Information- and communication technology; ICT; E-Business; E-Commerce; B2C-E-Commerce; Internet; e-payments

E-shops are among the most conventional applications of Electronic Commerce. In these shops, the buyers search for their goods through key words or classifications and read the product description provided by the sellers. Though, when the number of items is high, this gets to be difficult for the users. On the one hand, there are too many e-shops, and browsing in these shops to find the best and most appropriate goods is a difficult and time-consuming process. On the other hand, product descriptions are not the same in different websites, and there are different product forms. This study investigates about products and sellers in various websites based on the conditions and user requirements through software agents which present the extracted information in the form of a table to the users which enables them to compare prices and each seller’s conditions without spending too much time for browsing. Using this method increases precision and recall indices comparing to a conventional user browsing

An ontological representation of buyer interests’ knowledge in process of e-commerce is proposed to use. It makes it more efficient to make a search of the most appropriate sellers via multiagent systems. An algorithm of a comparison of buyer ontology with one of e-shops (the taxonomies) and an e-commerce multiagent system are realised using ontology of information retrieval in distributed environment
