Causal recipes for customer loyalty to travel agencies: Differences between online and offline customers
This study investigates how travel agencies can achieve high customer loyalty through offline and online
shopping experiences. The study testswhether different configurations of perceived value, customer satisfaction,
perceived quality, and trust affect loyalty. The results froman online survey of a travel agency's 1974 offline and
1014 online customers provide the data. Using the fsQCA, the study finds that different combinations of these
factors lead to higher customer loyalty. The findings show that trust is a sufficient condition for high customer
loyalty only in the offline shopping context. In the online shopping context, travel agencies must combine trust
with perceived value or with perceived quality to achieve high customer loyalty. Further, in the offline shopping
context, the combination of perceived value and perceived quality leads to higher loyalty, while in the online
shopping context agencies need to add customer satisfaction to this configuration.National Funds, funds this work through FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, Portugalinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Green buying behavior and the theory of consumption values: A fuzzy-set approach
Using a consumer survey, this study examines whether consumption values can predict green buying behavior.
The examination is based on the theory of consumption values and uses the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative
analysis. The results show that the functional value is almost always necessary but is not sufficient by itself for
predicting green buying. However, three “causal recipes” formed with the functional value are sufficient. These
recipes use the emotional, conditional and social values combined individually with the functional value. Other
three combinations of consumption values are also sufficient for predicting green buying. In contrast, the absence
of the functional value is a sufficient condition for not green buying, as well as three other “causal recipes”. This
finding can help marketing managers develop appropriate strategies. Further, this finding supports and clarifies
the role of the theory of consumption values by taking advantage of the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative
analysis. This work is funded by the National Funds through FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, Portugal)info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Motivations for posting online reviews in the hotel industry
Some travelers may rely on online reviews (electronic word of mouth [eWOM]) from users who
have already experienced a particular hotel before making a hotel reservation. However, only a
small percentage of users of eWOM contribute actively with new reviews and evaluations. The
understanding of what motivates consumers to write eWOM is very important, in order that
hotels can achieve more and better eWOM and, consequently, more reservations. Based on an
online survey and using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis, this study identifies different causal combinations of motivations (personal, social benefit, social concern, and consumer
empowerment) and demographic characteristics (gender and age) that lead to hotel eWOM. Three
configurations exist: being a female older than 35 years old, combined with high social concern and
high consumer empowerment; being a female older than 35 years old, combined with high social
concern and high personal motivations; and being a male, combined with high social concern, high
personal motivations, and high consumer empowerment. This work was supported by FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, Portugal)info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

sustainability (MES) and green export-related resources and capabilities, analyzes the impact of these
resources and capabilities on the eco-friendly export marketing strategy and assess the influence of such
strategy on export performance.
Design/methodology/approach – This study uses survey data from 241 manufacturing export firms
analyzed through partial least squares structural equation modeling.
Findings – The results show a positive influence of MES on green export-related resources and capabilities.
Further, while green export-related capabilities directly affect eco-friendly export marketing strategy,
resources only influence it indirectly through capabilities. The results also show that the adoption of an ecofriendly export marketing strategy contributes to firm’s export performance.
Originality/value – This study makes an important contribution to sustainability and exporting literature
by evaluating the behavior of firms in terms of MES and eco-friendly export marketing strategy.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
The role of motivations and involvement in wine tourists' intention to return: SEM and fsQCA findings
Tourism is increasingly important for wine regions and local economies. The purpose of this research is to use both symmetric (SEM) and asymmetric (fsQCA) methods to explore the role of motivation and involvement in tourists' intention to return to a wine region. To test these relations the study uses an online survey to obtain a convenience sample of 292 responses from Rioja and Bordeaux wine tourists. The SEM model shows that participation in wine events and product involvement positively relate to the intention to return. Two sufficient configurations in the fsQCA consistently lead to the intention: high core wine and education, high product involvement, and high participation in wine events combined with escape and socialization or with the destination's attractiveness. These results can help wine managers and operators design differentiated strategies to address the specific needs of wine tourists. This work was supported by FCT, I.P.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Determinants of users’ continuance intention toward digital innovations: Are late adopters different?
This study examines the users of digital innovations with covariance-based structural equation modeling
(CBSEM) and a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to understand the factors that drive their
continuance intention. We examine the interplay between the perceptual factors related to the user experience
with a digital product and personal factors that characterize late adoption. The findings highlight that perceived
radicalness is a core condition to achieve the users’ continuance intention in a digital context. The findings
contribute to theory by providing a better understanding of how personal factors in adoption interact with other
determinants of the continuance intention. The study also presents practical implications. The results show that
in the case of late adopters, firms should invest in both the radicalness and high system quality of their digital
innovations. This work was supported by FCT, I.P.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (Maputo e Chibuto) e Instituto Superior
de Contabilidade e Auditoria de Moçambique (Maputo). As metodologias
Simulação Empresarial’s model is part of the unit with the same name, present in the the 3th year of the program's degree of “licenciatura em Contabilidade”, offered by Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do ISCA, University of Aveiro. It is a net model, which includes several portuguese politechnical schools and also two mozambican institutions, the University Eduardo Mondlane (in Maputo and Chibuto) and Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Auditoria (in Maputo). This teaching network brings inovative methodologies that requires a continuous support to local teachers so they can experience a real teaching sharing event. With this project we take one further step to improve the set of working instruments. The goal is to facilitate the automatization of treating relevant information related to the process of evaluation of students, considering the amount of data they have to upload into the platform during the course
