    S'aborda la situació del mercat de treball de la província de Barcelona pel que fa a les seves principals variables, des del punt de vista de la participació, l'estructura i l'evolució recent. D'acord amb aquest plantejament general, es plantegen tres grans blocs d'anàlisi: el primer referit a la situació estructural i els principals punts forts, disfuncions i reptes del mercat de treball de la província; el segon bloc analitza, mitjançant eines economètriques, la relació entre les característiques sociodemogràfiques de la població (edat, gènere, nivell d'estudis, etc.) i a més, d'una banda, el seu nivell de participació al mercat de treball, i d'una altra, la seva ocupació; finalment, un tercer bloc analitza en detall els desequilibris entre l'oferta i la demanda de treball.Se aborda la situación del mercado de trabajo de la provincia de Barcelona por lo que se refiere a sus principales variables, desde el punto de vista de la participación, la estructura y la evolución reciente. De acuerdo con este planteamiento general, se plantean tres grandes bloques de análisis: el primero referido a la situación estructural y principales puntos fuertes, disfunciones y retos del mercado de trabajo de la provincia; el segundo bloque analiza, mediante herramientas econométricas, la relación entre las características sociodemográficas de la población (edad, género, nivel de estudios, etc.) y, por un lado, su nivel de participación en el mercado de trabajo, y por otro lado, su ocupabilidad; finalmente, un tercer bloque analiza en detalle los desequilibrios entre oferta y demanda de trabajo.The article deals with the situation of the labour market of the province of Barcelona regarding its principal variables, form the point of view of participation, structure and recent evolution. On the basis of this general approach, three main blocks of analysis are raised: the first one is referred to the structural situation and the most important strengths, disfunctions and challenges of the provincial labour market; the second block analyzes, through econometric tools, the relationship between the social and demographic characteristics of the population (age, gender, education, etc.) and, on the one side, the level of participation in the labour market, and on the other side, their employability; finally, a third block analyses in detail the imbalances between supply and demand of labour force.L'article aborde la situation du marché de l'emploi du Département de Barcelone en ce qui concerne ses principales variables, du point de vue de la participation, de la structure et de l'évolution récente. En base à cette approche générale, trois grands blocs d'analyse sont exposés: le premier relatif à la situation structurelle et aux principaux points forts, les dysfonctions et les défis du marché de l'emploi régional; le second bloc analyse, à travers des instruments économétriques, le rapport entre les caractéristiques sociales et démographiques de la population (âge, genre, éducation, etc.) et, d'une part, leur niveau de participation au marché de l'emploi, et d'autre part, leur occupation; finalement, un troisième bloc analyse en détail les déséquilibres entre l'offre et la demande d'emploi

    Presentació de l’experiència i la valoració del projecte BiPaDi del CRAI de la Universitat de Barcelona (UB), que ha suposat disposar per primera vegada d’una infraestructura dedicada exclusivament a la difusió i revalorització d’una de les biblioteques patrimonials més importants de l’estat espanyol. A l’entorn del BiPaDi s’articula un projecte global de política de gestió de les col·leccions patrimonials, una planificació del flux de digitalització, la difusió i dinamització dels mateixos i la seva preservació digital que garanteix la transmissió a les generacions futures. L’objectiu principal de difondre i preservar el patrimoni es veu reforçat per altres iniciatives: oferir a la comunitat universitària uns documents digitalitzats que poden ser útils a les diferents àrees de recerca, docència i aprenentatge; i dinamitzar aquest patrimoni amb accions de participació social, com “Apadrina un document” (mecenatge) o adherint-nos al projecte Transcriu-me (crowdsourcing) i altres accions encara en disseny

    La formació actual ha de ser prou flexible per a incloure tots els perfils d'alumnat, entre ells els estudiants amb necessitats educatives especials. Amb el projecte campus multimodal s'aprofita la plataforma Moodle per oferir als estudiants dues eines de suport a la lectura ClaroRead y ReadSpeaker. Es fa una prova pilot amb un miler d'estudiants durant un semestre i a partir d'enquestes i registres d'ús es valora la seva utilitat. Els resultats confirmen l'existència de problemes generalitzats de lecto-escriptura entre l'alumnat universitari i la utilitat de la tecnologia de parla per aminimitzar-los

    Family and Affective Models in Children's Literature. An Approach from the Texts for Early Readers at Valencian Schools

    In previous researches we have offered a panoramic view about the presence of family structures different from the traditional one in children's literature, (Oltra Albiach, 2011), about the (shy) presence of protagonists with homo-parent, single- parent families reconstructed or intercultural in children's titles and about the publications of these characteristics in the literature for first readers that have seen the light in recent years (Oltra Albiach & Pardo Coy, 2013). It is noted that the introduction of these literatures in initial schools remains in general a pending matter, especially if we take into account that it is an ideal level to prevent and treat stereotypes and prejudices and above all because xenophobic, sexist, homophobic behaviors and bullying in general can begin to occur at these ages. Therefore, we have tried to bring our gaze to pre-school and first cycle of primary education in order to analyze the titles that are offered to students as first readings, from the idea of the importance of literature as a mirror of the society that produces it, of its characteristics, its achievements, its desires and its fears, and also highlighting the importance of the family and affective models in general that we give the children in their first contact with the written literature.     Beliefs, assumptions and knowledge of Spanish university students about Slovak language and culture

    In Europe, the idea of multilingual European citizenship has been consolidated in recent decades in relation to the perspective of exchange and mobility within the European Union. However, in many cases linguistic learning can be complicated by several factors that are basically extralinguistic. At times, prejudices and linguistic stereotypes persist, mainly because of the ignorance of European linguistic and cultural reality and the possibilities of the own language learning for people's lives and for the development of territories. Research and reflection ion beliefs, ideas and representations about languages, their importance and their treatment in the classroom, at all levels of education, is presented as a relevant research field in the current European context: in this line, we present a research on the ideas beliefs and expectations about languages and their learning in the European framework of the students of the Faculty of Teaching of the University of Valencia. The responses of the group of the students to these questions reaffirm us in the idea and invite to a reflection in depth on the treatment of any kind of diversity, and specifically on the linguistic attitudes and their presence in the programs of language teaching

    Multimodal campus project: pilot test of voice supported reading

    Nowadays, education systems should offer flexibility to serve any kind of learners, including those with special needs. 'Campus Multimodal' project took advantage of Moodle Learning Management System to offer students two reading aid tools: ClaroRead and ReadSpeaker. A pilot test was run with one thousand students during a semester and the mentioned tools usefulness was measured through an interview and user logs. Results confirm the existence of widespread reading and writing problems among higher education students and also the utility of speech technology to minimize them

    Encouraging to read: a proposal to improve reading comprehension and literary competence in university students

    The objective of this article is to present an activity related to reading at university, in order to promote reading in students through various readings and the recommendation of them to colleagues. Several problems of our students (who have received literary training in their compulsory and post-compulsory studies and are, in theory, quite compententes) appeared at the time of facing the reading of texts, both literary and academic. On the other hand, the activity provides us with a great deal of information about the expectations, the difficulties, the devices, the themes and the reading strategies used in everyday life and in the university studies. In conclusion, we highlight the positive reception of the proposal by students and the possibilities of completion in all university degrees. It is, in short, an academic practice that affects the integral formation of the individuals and the idea of lifelong learning, and that reaffirms us in the previous idea of the need to continue in some way to encourage reading and literary training in university students
