    PENERAPAN TEKNIK KOREKSI TIDAK LANGSUNG UNTUK MEMINIMALKAN KESALAHAN BERBAHASA DALAM PENYUSUNAN KARYA ILMIAH

    Abstrak  Sebagian besar mahasiswa masih mengeluhkan kesulitan mengorganisasikan isi dan menerapkan kaidah tulis ilmiah dalam tugas penyusunan karya ilmiah sehingga banyak kesalahan berbahasa yang timbul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meminimalkan kesalahan berbahasa dengan teknik koreksi tidak langsung. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan tingkat kesalahan berbahasa baik pada tindakan prasiklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Secara keseluruhan penurunan rata-rata sebesar 25,06%. Jumlah rata-rata kesalahan berbahasa pada tahap prasiklus sebesar 24%, pada siklus II jumlah rata-rata kesalahan berbahasa menurun menjadi 13,75%. Selain hasil tersebut, terdapat persepsi dan kesan positif dari mahasiswa pada perkuliahan MKU bahasa Indonesia.Kata-kata kunci: teknik koreksi tidak langsung, kesalahan berbahasa,karya   ilmiah AbstractMost students still complain about difficulties in organizing content and applying the rules of scientific writing in preparing scientific papers as they commit so many errors. This study aims to minimize language errors by indirect correction techniques. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles. The results show a decrease in the error rate on language use both in the actions of pre-cycle, the first cycle and the second cycle. In total, there was an average decrease of 25.06%. The number of average errors on language use in the stage of pre-cycle was 24%, the number of average errors on language use decreased to 13,75% in cycle II. In addition to those results, there was a positive perception and impression in the students towards the General Subject Course of Indonesian Language.     Mahasiswa kependidikan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta harus menempuh mata kuliah wajib sesuai kurikulum yang dicanangkan. Salah satu mata kuliah wajib tersebut adalah Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) yang memiliki bobot 3 sks. Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan ini bertujuan mendapatkan pengalaman tentang proses pembelajaran dan kegiatan persekolahan lainnya yang digunakan sebagai bekal untuk menjadi calon tenaga pendidik. Praktikan diharapkan mampu untuk memiliki nilai, sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan sebagai seorang pendidik. Program Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian diri mahasiswa kepada masyarakat. Dalam hal ini, penyusun melaksanakan Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan di MAN Yogyakarta 1 yang terletak di kota Yogyakarta.Pelaksanaan kegiatan PPL dimulai dari observasi hingga pelaksanaan PPL yang terbagi menjadi beberapa tahap yaitu persiapan mengajar, pelaksanaan mengajar, dan evaluasi hasil mengajar. Kegiatan mengajar dilaksanakan setelah konsultasi Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran kepada guru pembimbing terlebih dahulu. Pelaksanaan PPL dilaksanakan di kelas XI MIPA1, XI MIPA 3, XI IPS 1, XI IPS 2 sebanyak 18 kali pertemuan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan PPL selama kurang lebih dua bulan di MAN Yogyakarta 1 ini dapat dirasakan hasilnya oleh mahasiswa berupa penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan praktik keguruan dalam bidang pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang diperoleh di bangku perkuliahan. Dengan pengalaman yang diperoleh selama perkuliahan, mahasiswa dapat meminimalisir kesulitan yang ditemui ketika PPL. Dengan melaksanakan PPL, mahasiswa memperoleh gambaran bagaimana tugas seorang guru dengan demikian siap untuk melaksanakan tugas sebagai seorang guru setelah lulus

    Good Teacher, Qualified Teacher, and Professional Teacher: Facing the 21st Century Global Changes

    The role of teacher cannot be separated in teaching and learning process. In fact, teacher hold an important role to improve the quality of education especially for facing 21st century global change. In this globalization era, it drives to the increasing need of knowledge and communication to survive. It forces the teacher to take the responsibility to fulfill what the students need since the teachers meet directly to the student to meet the 21st century skills. Thus, teacher quality may strongly influence and affect the educational quality. Discussing about teacher quality, some terms will come out; good teacher, qualified teacher, and professional teacher. In developing country, those kinds of teachers are very needed to improve the quality of education. In fact, it is very rare that a teacher has three of them. Despite of that, it becomes a confusion regarding to those terms. Are they different? And how can they different? In this article, it will be discussed about the differences of good teacher, qualified teacher, and professional teacher. After defining the differences of them, we can see which one is the appropriate to be improved for developing country where in this research is for Indonesia case. In conclusion, referring to some matters in Indonesia, professional teacher should be concerned by the government to achieve the good quality in education

    Emerging Challenges of Teaching English in Non-native English-Speaking Countries: Teachers’ View

    Teaching English to students, particularly non-English speakers, requires proper strategies and methods. By doing so, each teacher has his/her challenges. This study intends to unveil the emerging challenges faced by English teachers from non-native English-speaking countries (non-NESCs) such as China, Japan, Thailand, Senegal, Mongolia, Cambodia, and Laos. This study stands on to answer two research questions: 1. What are the challenges of teaching English in non-native English-speaking countries? 2. Is there any effort to overcome the challenges? If so, how do they overcome it? By utilizing the qualitative method, seven teachers are interviewed to tell their challenges. The result indicates three main problems, including learning materials which do not cover students’ need, too big classroom size and school environment, and also students’ low motivation. Some programs are conducted to overcome those challenges. For example, Japan has an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) who comes once a week to cooperate with the English teacher in each school.     AbstractDesigning the Visual Brand Identity of Tukang Sayoer Online as an Effort to Increase Brand Awareness. Tukang Sayoer Online is a grocery that used online and offlineordering system in Salatiga. Since founding in October 2018, this business doesn’t have enough brand awareness, therefore people don’t aware of it. The research purpose is to design unique and well-crafted brand identity that memorable and distinct in the market. This research used qualitative methode with linier strategy based from brandingprocess by Alina Wheeler. Interview and observation were used for data collecting.Analysis conducted in old identity design, target audience, visual preference and positioning analysis. The designing process produced Tukang Sayoer Online’s brand identity and design system for stationery, communication media, uniform, vehicle, store facade, social media, and graphic standard manual fabrication. Tujuan perancangan adalah merancang brand identity yang unik dan baik sehingga mudah diingat danmencolok di pasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan strategi perancangan linier yang didasari oleh branding process by Alina Wheeler. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Analisis dilakukan terhadap identitas usaha, target audience, selera visual dan positioning. Perancangan menghasilkan brand identity Tukang Sayoer Online dan sistem desain identitas untukstationery, media komunikasi, seragam, kendaraan, facade toko, media sosial, serta pembuatan graphic standard manual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perancangan brand identity sudah unik dan sesuai citra Tukang Sayoer Online sehingga dapat menunjang identitas usaha dalam jangka panjang.

    Remaja Yang Dilihat Dari Kelekatan Orang Tua Terhadap Kecerdasan Emosi

    Abstract : This study aims to determine how big the relationship between parental attachment to emotional intelligence in IBA Palembang high school teenagers. While the research hypothesis is that there is a significant relationship between Parental Attachment to Emotional Intelligence in adolescents. This study uses a quantitative approach with a product moment correlation design. This research was conducted in Palembang City which consisted of 60 women and 70 men. The sampling technique used in this study is a random sampling technique because the sampling of population members is done randomly by selecting the criteria that have been set by the researcher. Data were collected through a parental attachment scale with 40 items referred to from the theory of Armsden and Greenbreg (2009). Emotional Intelligence Scale with 40 items from Goleman (2009). The category of adolescents who have parental attachment is included in the high category. The instrument validation technique uses content validity and Cronbach's Alpha coefficient reliability. The results showed that there was a relationship between parental attachment to emotional intelligence in adolescents with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.01). Data were analyzed using Product Moment Person correlation analysis. The results showed that there was a very significant relationship between Parental Attachment to Emotional Intelligence in Adolescents at SMA IBA Palembang rxy > rtable : 0.736 > 0.266, a significant level of 0.01, which means that the higher the attachment, the higher the Emotional Intelligence. It can be concluded that parental attachment has a relationship with emotional intelligence in adolescents. Sedangkan hipotesis penelitian adalah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara Kelekatan Orang Tua Terhadap Kecerdasan Emosi pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional product moment. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kota Palembang yang terdiri dari 60 wanita dan 70 pria. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik random sampling karena pengambilan sampel anggota populasi dilakukan secara acak dengan memilih kriteria yang telah ditetapkan peneliti. Data dikumpulkan melalui skala kelekatan orangtua dengan 40 item yang diacu dari teori Armsden dan Greenbreg (2009). Skala Kecerdasan Emosi dengan 40 item dari Goleman (2009). Kategori remaja yang memiliki kelekatan orang tua termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Teknik validasi instrumen menggunakan validitas konten dan reliabilitas koefisien Alpha Cronbach. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara kelekatan orangtua terhadap kecerdasan emosi pada remaja dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p <0,01). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi Product Moment Person. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara Kelekatan Orang Tua Terhadap Kecerdasan Emosi Pada Remaja SMA IBA Palembang rxy > rtabel  : 0,736 > 0,266 taraf signifikan 0,01 yang berarti  bahwa semakin tinggi Kelekatan maka semakin tinggi Kecerdasan Emosi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelekatan orangtua ada hubungan terhadap kecerdasan emosi pada remaja.   Kata kunci: kelekatan, kecerdasan emosi, remaja

    The Effect of Employee Engagement, Rewards, and Leadership Style on Turnover Intention at Ijen View Bondowoso Hotel

    The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of employee engagement, rewards, and leadership style on employee turnover intention at Ijen View Bondowoso Hotel. This research is an explanatory research. The sample used in this research consisted of 98 employees. The analysis method used was multple linear regression. The results showed that employee engagement, rewards, and leadership style have a significant and negative effect on turnover intention. These findings imply that the higher employee engagement, rewards, and leadership style, the lower the turnover intention rate

    COBALT INDUCTION ON BIOSYNTHESIS OF CYANOCOBALAMIN by Streptomyces olivaceus IFO 3409.

    The structure of cyanocobalamin containing an essensial cobalt is as part the compound. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of cobalt on biosynthesis of cyanocobalamin done by Streptomyces olivaceus IFO 3409. This experiment was carried out by cultivating S. olivaceus in fermentation medium contained glucose 1,5%, pepton 1%, yeast extract 0,25%, trace mineral and each of medium was added cobalt 5, 10, 20 ppm. Cyanocobalamin synthesized by the cells was harvested on the last exponential phase. The amount of cyanocobalamin was analyzed by spectrophotometer. The results show that no cyanocobalamin was produced by S. olivaceus culture without kobalt or treated with 5 ppm cobalt on medium. However cyanocobalamin was produced if the culture medium was treated with 10 and 20 ppm cobalt respectively. It was concluded that cobalt induced on cyanocobalamin biosyntesis, therefore optimation of adding kobalt might be examined on getting maximal cyanocobalamin produced by Streptomyces olivaceus IFO 3409.Key words: cyanocobalamin, cobalt, Streptomyces olivaceus IFO 3409
