Implicit equations involving the -Laplace operator
In this work we study the existence of solutions to
the implicit elliptic problem in , where is a bounded domain in , , with
smooth boundary , , and . We choose the
particular case when the function can be expressed in the form , where the function depends only on
the -Laplacian . We also present some applications of our
results.Comment: 15 pages; comments are welcom

The translation of verbal humour in Jardiel Poncela's theater is a totally unexplored field. The absence of Italian versions of his plays, and also of studies dedicated to the transposition of humour in the dramaturgy of the author, can make the reflections on this subject a prolific starting point for further developments, since there are many aspects involved in the construction of humoristic dialogue in Jardiel's theatre. This article is aimed to analyze some of these aspects and how it is possible to convey them in tranlation, starting from Jardiel's plays Los ladrones somos gente honrada and Usted tiene ojos de mujer fatal
I siti UNESCO "Eredità del Mondo" - Considerazioni Geografiche
The 1972 Convention for the world cultural and natural inheritance protection is presented and commented. Subsequently, the data containing timing of adhesion and the signalling of the sites, was received from the 182 adherent countries and analysed. A most thorough analysis relates to the sites which contain heritage, adhering to the guidelines presented by UNESCO. Any historical classification is also indicated. The rigid criteria used to select locations are also indicated together with an estimate of the heritage of each country. Finally the list of sites which are currently in danger is signalled to highlight UNESCO’s attention to this area. In conclusions the aim is to indicate the level of attention each country dedicates to each site. Italy is proudly the country with the highest number of signalled sites: 40
Meccanismi dell’umorismo verbale in ‘Cuatro corazones con freno y marcha atràs’ di E. Jardiel Poncela: i giochi di parole
The aim of this paper is to examine one of the essential mechanisms in the verbal humour of Enrique Jardiel Poncela’s theatrical works, specifically focusing on one of his plays: Cuatro corazones con freno y marcha atrás (1936). In this text, the use of the pun is almost always present and it is often the basis upon which misunderstanding is produced by exploiting the language polysemous potentialities. In some cases, this strategy results as self-sufficient with respect to the action; in others, it unfolds along with the events, thus highlighting their effects
Sox10 haploinsufficiency affects maintenance of progenitor cells in a mouse model of Hirschsprung disease
Hirschsprung disease, or congenital megacolon, is characterized by aganglionosis of the terminal bowel, which leads to intestinal obstruction and chronic constipation. Several genes involved in the disease have been identified. In particular, haploinsufficiency of SOX10, which encodes a transcription factor, results in megacolon, often in combination with other disorders. Although Hirschsprung disease has been recognized as a neurocristopathy, the cellular mechanisms that lead to aganglionosis in affected individuals are unclear. Failure of mutant enteric progenitor cells to migrate into the gut, to survive, or to differentiate into appropriate cell types at the appropriate time and in correct numbers might contribute to the disease phenotype. In the present study, we use mice with a targeted deletion of Sox10 to study the etiology of Hirschsprung disease. We demonstrate that neural crest-derived enteric progenitors that are heterozygous for the Sox10 mutation colonize the proximal intestine and are unaffected in their survival capacity. However, unlike their wild-type counterparts, mutant enteric neural crest-derived cells are unable to maintain their progenitor state and acquire preneuronal traits, which results in a reduction of the progenitor pool size. Thus, the cells that normally colonize the hindgut are depleted in the Sox10 mutant, causing the distal bowel to become aganglioni
Self-assess Momentary Mood in Mobile Devices: a Case Study with Mature Female Participants
Starting from the assumption that mood has a central role in domain-specific
persuasion systems for well-being, the main goal of this study was to
investigate the feasibility and acceptability of single-input methods to assess
momentary mood as a medium for further interventions in health-related mobile
apps destined for mature women. To this aim, we designed a very simple android
App providing four user interfaces, each one showing one interactive widget to
self-assess mood. Two widgets report a hint about the momentary mood they
represent; the last two do not have the hints but were previously refined
through questionnaires administered to 63 women (age 45-65) in order to reduce
their expressive ambiguity. Next, fifteen women (age 45-65 years) were
recruited to use the app for 15 days. Participants were polled about their mood
four times a day and data were saved in a remote database. Moreover, users were
asked to fill out a preliminary questionnaire, at the first access to the app,
and a feedback questionnaire at the end of the testing period. Results appear
to prove the feasibility and acceptability of this approach to self-assess
momentary mood in the target population and provides some potential input
methods to be used in this context.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, 1 tabl
