Connecting Students from Tajikistan to the World: A Teacher\u27s Journey

    Get PDF
Implementing English language programs for my students in Tajikistan was a dream come true that opened an endless world of possibilities to them. Without knowing the English language, it would have been impossible for them to travel both physically and virtually to see the world, and build connections with people around the world. I try to make my students believe in themselves, dream big, and follow their dreams

Investigation of the Causes of Violations of the Radioactive Balance between Radionuclides of the Uranium Decay Chain

    Get PDF
Throughout the literature, it is mentioned that 15 radionuclides in the uranium decay chain have a constant radioactive equilibrium. Theoretical calculations give the value of the activity of each radionuclide in the uranium decay chain. This article examines various factors that affect the coefficient of radioactive equilibrium between radionuclides in the uranium decay chainThe concept of the coefficient of violations of nuclear equilibrium between radionuclides is adopted to determine the degree of violations in the uranium decay chain. Many nuclear-physical factors influence the radioactive balance between radionuclides. The most important of them is the recoil energy that the daughter nucleus receives when splitting from the mother nucleus.Another critical factor in the violation of the radioactive balance between radionuclides is the technological factor: leaching (acid, mini-reagent, bicarbonate, etc.) when leaching uranium by underground leaching of uranium. In addition, as a theoretical result of the study, the article presents a graphical relationship between the number of nuclear masses and the recoil energy of radionuclides in the uranium decay chain

The last decades the WSN technology has been adopted by more and more scientific fields for accurate and effective monitoring of climate phenomena like air pollution, destruction phenomena like landslides, etc. It has been widely used in agriculture for field monitoring. WSN is an emerging technology, which through the research in the labs and the real deployments has been proved to be a significant and valuable tool for scientists to explore another world which is behind the various environmental phenomena using tiny sensor nodes In this article, "Expert Advisory System" was developed to improve the productivity of farmers, save their time and improve the efficiency of the crops. The system monitors real-time crop fields using wireless sensor networks and provides the necessary information to farmers via the Internet. The farmer will be required to undertake the necessary remedial action on the basis of the information received. It’s also provided that the simulation of WSN in Contiki Simulator tool. Moreover, the queing model for WSN to also considered in this work

Deuteron tensor polarization component T_20(Q^2) as a crucial test for deuteron wave functions

    Get PDF
The deuteron tensor polarization component T_20(Q^2) is calculated by relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics approach. It is shown that in the range of momentum transfers available in to-day experiments, relativistic effects, meson exchange currents and the choice of nucleon electromagnetic form factors almost do not influence the value of T_20(Q^2). At the same time, this value depends strongly on the actual form of the deuteron wave function, that is on the model of NN-interaction in deuteron. So the existing data for T_20(Q^2) provide a crucial test for deuteron wave functions.Comment: 11 pages, 3 figure

The article attempts to assess the level of freedom of the Russian media as of the beginning of 2023. The author also identifies factors that contribute to a decrease in freedom in the Russian media and identify topics that criticize the authorities but are not forbidden by Russian censorship

Form Factors of Composite Systems by Generalized Wigner-Eckart Theorem for Poincar\'e group

The relativistic approach to electroweak properties of two-particle composite systems developed previously is generalized here to the case of nonzero spin. This approach is based on the instant form of relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics. A special mathematical technique is used for the parametrization of matrix elements of electroweak current operators in terms of form factors. The parametrization is a realization of the generalized Wigner--Eckart theorem on the Poincar\'e group, form factors are corresponding reduced matrix elements and they have the sense of distributions (generalized functions). The electroweak current matrix element satisfies the relativistic covariance conditions and in the case of electromagnetic current it also automatically satisfies the conservation law.Comment: Submitted to Theor. Optimization of the power consumption mode of pumping stations of “Suv Okova” by reactive power

    Get PDF
The optimal modes of the existing compensating devices under operating conditions were determined. Minimum power and energy losses were taken as optimality criteria. The unconstrained optimization problem was considered, i.e., finding the absolute minimum. When solving the problem to find the optimal mode of operation of the “SUV OKOVA” network, a relative minimum was found since the system of constraints has a nonlinear form. The problem of conditional optimization in terms of reactive power is solved, for which the gradient method of quadratic programming is used

Necessary defense in crime prevention: issues of legislation and law enforcement improvement

    Get PDF
The article is dedicated to necessary defense as a circumstance preventing a crime in the criminal law of the Russian Federation. Goal: to identify advantages and disadvantages of regulating necessary defense as a circumstance preventing a criminal action as envisaged by Article 37 of the Criminal Code of Russia providing liability for crimes committed through excessive self-defense. Methods: a study of respective norms using a systemic method, general scientific methods (structural-functional analysis, comparison, logical method, content analysis of court practice and mass media). Primary results: the research helped to identify advantages and disadvantages of the legal framework of necessary defense as well as significant qualification mistakes of judicial and investigative practice. Conclusions and novelty of the research: insufficient efficiency of the existing approach to problems of qualifying necessary defense and ways are proposed to solve these problems, namely, by correcting the Decree of the Russian Federation Plenum of Supreme Court dated September 27, 2012, No. 19 On Judicial Use of Legislation on Necessary Defense and Causing Harm in Arrest of Perpetrators. Due to ambiguousness and inconsistent practice of using criminal law norms concerning necessary defense, it is proposed to use, in the further reconstruction of respective norms of Article 37 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, a list-based approach to legislative wording of these norms that allow the defender to inflict any harm to the offender. An easily understandable wording is created, which permits lawfully causing harm to social relations protected by criminal law

Generalized concentration dependence of self-diffusion coefficients in poly(allylcarbosilane) dendrimer solutions

    Get PDF
Self-diffusion of three high generations (the fifth, sixth, and seventh) of poly(allylcarbosilane) dendrimer in solutions with deuterated chloroform has been studied over a wide range of macromolecular concentrations (φ). Diffusivity has been measured by NMR with a pulsed gradient of the magnetic field. It is shown that concentration dependences of the dendrimer self-diffusion coefficients (D) can be reduced to the generalized concentration dependence. Over the range of volume concentrations from 0.01 up to 0.55, the curve of the generalized dependence of D for dendrimers coincides with the analogous dependence for globular protein in aqueous solutions. Analogous to the universal concentration dependence of D for linear polymers in solvent, the generalized concentration dependence of dendrimers tends to the asymptote D′(φ)/D0 ∞ φ0 = 1 in the limit of extremely dilute solutions and to the asymptote D(φ)/D0 ∞ φ-3 in the range of concentrated solutions 0.3 < φ < 0.55. Here, D0 - limφ-0 D(φ) and D(φ) are the self-diffusion coefficients of dendrimer in an extremely dilute solution and in a solution with macromolecular concentration φ, respectively. D′(φ) = D(φ)/L(φ), where L(φ) is a normalizing function, taking into account the change of the local mobility of dendritic branches as the macromolecular concentration increases; the L(φ) functions have been experimentally extracted from the concentration dependence of the longitudinal relaxation times for the dendrimers in solutions studied
