Observation Of A High-energy Cosmic-ray Family Caused By A Centauro-type Nuclear Interaction In The Joint Emulsion Chamber Experiment At The Pamirs

An exotic cosmic-ray family event is observed in the large emulsion chamber exposed by the joint at the Pamirs (4360 m above sea level). The family is composed of 120γ-ray-induced showers and 37 hadron-induced showers with individual visible energy exceeding 1 TeV. The decisive feature of the event is the hadron dominance: ΣEγ, ΣE(γ) h, 〈Eγ, 〈E(γ) h〉, 〈Eγ·Rγ〉 and 〈E(γ)·Rh〉 being 298 TeV, 476 TeV, 2.5 TeV, 12.9 TeV, 28.6 GeV m and 173 GeV m, respectively. Most probably the event is due to a Centauro interaction, which occured in the atmosphere at ∼700 m above the chamber. The event will constitute the second beautiful candidate for a Centauro observed at the Pamirs. © 1987.1901-2226233Bayburina, (1981) Nucl. Phys. Here we present a summary of joint discussions on the results of three mountain experiments with large-scale emulsion chambers, at Pamir, Mt. Fuji and Chacaltaya. Observations cover gamma quanta, hadrons and their clusters (called "families"). The following topics are covered, concerning the characteristics of nuclear interactions the energy region 1014-1016 eV: (i) rapid dissipation seen in atmospheric diffusion of high-energy cosmic-rays; (ii) multiplicity and Pt increase in produced pi-mesons in the fragmentation region; (iii) existence of large-Pt jets, (iv) extremely hadron-rich family of the Centauro type; (v) exotic phenomena in the extremely high energy region beyond 1016 eV. © 1981.1911125(1977) Acta Univ. Agricultural region development: Problems, tax threats, potential

    No full text
The article is devoted to the problem of the development of the agro-industrial region. Economic, geopolitical relations, crisis situations, risks of the state and enterprises require the study of methodological support for new functions of tax administration of agribusiness enterprises. The economic security of public law education characterizes the state of the tax system and tax potential, which ensure the sustainable development of the territory. The authors investigated the purpose of tax potential management, one of which is the assessment of the security of the tax territory. For management and assessment, a tree of goals was built, based on the hierarchical principle of presenting promising goals for managing the economy of an agricultural region. The general goal and objectives of two levels are determined. The authors determined that the process of making management decisions to ensure tax security of the territory should consist of five stages. At the same time, the end result of the assessment should be a tax security strategy. A correlation analysis of a number of factors was carried out, among which the formation of the onset of risks and representing the main threat to the tax security of the territory - incomplete provision of tax revenues at all levels of the budget system - was revealed. Calculations were made on the example of the administrative territory of the Russian Federation (Republic of Mari El). © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020

The modern pharmaceutical industry is an objective indicator of the socio-economic development of health care. Its evolution included the improvement of the technology of production of medicines, the change in the organizational forms of conducting the pharmaceutical business, the formation and improvement of regulatory standards in the production and distribution of pharmaceuticals. The subject of the study is the Russian pharmaceutical industry. The subject is a system of statistical and non-statistical indicators that characterize the investment attractiveness of Russia's pharmaceutical industry

Ontogenetic changes in the body structure of the Arctic fish Leptoclinus maculatus

Histological studies of the ontogenetic changes in Arctic marine fishes are often fragmented and incomplete. Here we present a comprehensive histological ontogenetic analysis of the daubed shanny (Leptoclinus maculatus) from the Arctic, characterizing its development as it undergoes a series of changes in the organ and tissue organization, especially during the postlarvae transition from the pelagic to benthic lifestyle. The thyroid, heart, digestive tract, liver, gonads, blood, and the lipid sac of the postlarvae at different developmental stages (L1–L5) were studied for the first time. We found that L. maculatus has structural characteristics of marine fish developing in cold, high-oxygen polar waters. We conclude that the presence of the lipid sac and the absence of distinguishable red blood cells in pelagic postlarvae are unique features of the daubed shanny most likely linked to its successful growth and development in the Arctic environment

Chirality in nonlinear-optical response of planar G-shaped nanostructures

Chirality effects in optical second harmonic generation (SHG) are studied in periodic planar arrays of gold G-shaped nanostructures. We show that G-shaped structures of different handedness demonstrate different SHG efficiency for the left and right circular polarizations, as well as the opposite directions of the SHG polarization plane rotation. The observed effects are interpreted as the appearance of chirality in the SHG response which allows clear distinguishing of two enantiomers
