APORTACIONES DE A. AGUSTÍN Y G. FAERNO (MSS. 7901-2 BN) A LA ENMIENDA DE LOS FRAGMENTOS DE L. POMPINIO

The author of this article analyzes the metrical and critical emendations written by the humanists A. Agustín (1517-1586) and G. Faerno (1510-1561) to the text of L. Pomponius' 'Atellanae'. These unpublished notes, which may be found in the mss. 7901-2 from the BN of Madrid ('Fragmenta veterum latinorum scriptorum'), constitute the first attempt to put in order the extant fragments of the earlier latin poets. Unfortunately, this project remained unfinished, probably due to the publication of H. Estiènne's 'Fragmenta' (1564). In spite of the lack of a historical methodology, their research for the best and more appropriate 'lectiones', according to the general sense and the metrical structure of each fragment, leads our humanists to propose accurate conjectures still surviving in modern editions, though ascribed to later scholars. COVID-19 symptoms at hospital admission vary with age and sex: results from the ISARIC prospective multinational observational study

Background: The ISARIC prospective multinational observational study is the largest cohort of hospitalized patients with COVID-19. We present relationships of age, sex, and nationality to presenting symptoms. Methods: International, prospective observational study of 60 109 hospitalized symptomatic patients with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 recruited from 43 countries between 30 January and 3 August 2020. Logistic regression was performed to evaluate relationships of age and sex to published COVID-19 case definitions and the most commonly reported symptoms. Results: ‘Typical’ symptoms of fever (69%), cough (68%) and shortness of breath (66%) were the most commonly reported. 92% of patients experienced at least one of these. Prevalence of typical symptoms was greatest in 30- to 60-year-olds (respectively 80, 79, 69%; at least one 95%). They were reported less frequently in children (≤ 18 years: 69, 48, 23; 85%), older adults (≥ 70 years: 61, 62, 65; 90%), and women (66, 66, 64; 90%; vs. men 71, 70, 67; 93%, each P < 0.001). The most common atypical presentations under 60 years of age were nausea and vomiting and abdominal pain, and over 60 years was confusion. Regression models showed significant differences in symptoms with sex, age and country. Interpretation: This international collaboration has allowed us to report reliable symptom data from the largest cohort of patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19. Adults over 60 and children admitted to hospital with COVID-19 are less likely to present with typical symptoms. Nausea and vomiting are common atypical presentations under 30 years. Confusion is a frequent atypical presentation of COVID-19 in adults over 60 years. Women are less likely to experience typical symptoms than men

En este artículo analizamos la naturaleza y difusión del culto a los mártires de Calahorra: Emeterio y Celedonio. A partir de los datos sobre su vida y martirio obtenidos en las fuentes antiguas y medievales, hemos intentado reconstruir los rasgos más significativos de la historia de su devoción. También hemos prestado atención a las traslaciones de sus reliquias como fenómeno difusor de su culto. Finalmente, hemos procurado identificar los vestigios de su culto a través de la iconografía, la toponimia y las tradiciones populares relacionadas con los mártire

Los fragmentos de Lucilio en la "edición" inédita de Antonio Agustín: estudio y comentario

En los manuscritos 7901 y 7902 de la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid se nos han conservado unos "Fragmenta ueterum scriptorum Latinorum", recopilados por el humanista español Antonio Agustín (1517-1586. Tras los fragmentos de algunos poetas latinos se nos han transmitido algunos comentarios métricos y textuales, elaborados por el humanista italiano Gabriele Faerno (1510-1561). El objetivo de nuestro trabajo es analizar las aportaciones de estos humanistas a la Crítica Textual de los fragmentos de Lucilio. In the manuscripts 7901 and 702 from the Biblioteca Nacional of Madrid we find a collection of "Fragmenta ueterum scriptorum Latinorum" gathered by the Spanish humanist Antonio Agustín (1517-1586). After the fragments of some poets there are some metrical and textual notes to the fragments, written by the Italian humanist Gabriele Faerno (1510-1561). The aim of our work is to analyze the contributions of these scholars to the textual criticism of Lucilius' fragments
