The need to identify customer requirements and to satisfy them has become the main objective of companies. To manage that activity, that it is commonly associated to the marketing department, is the aim of every quality system, and therefore is a task that comprises the remaining departments of the organization. Propuesta de un modelo de formación por competencias del recurso humano como ventaja competitiva para las empresas de operación logística en la provincia de Colón

Panamá cuenta con una excelente posición geográfica, por lo que se constituye en una de las rutas más importantes para el desarrollo del comercio internacional. El Plan de Gobierno 2009 - 2014 plantea a la logística como uno de los pilares claves para el crecimiento del país; sin embargo, los altos ejecutivos de las principales empresas e instituciones que forman parte de la plataforma logística de nuestro país señalan sobre las necesidades de suficiente mano de obra calificada y una buena formación en operaciones logísticas. El presente trabajo de investigación denominado Propuesta de un modelo de formación por competencia del recurso humano para las empresas de operación logística en la Provincia de Colón, propone un modelo que contribuya a reenfocar los esfuerzos en materia de capacitación para estas empresas la que se constituye en una ventaja competitiva para la Provincia de Colón, específicamente para su implementación en las actividades que se desarrollan en el Centro Logístico Multimodal Para la presente propuesta del modelo de formación por competencias se consideró cuatro áreas importantes en las operaciones logísticas como lo son: la cultura de servicio, las habilidades y destrezas en operaciones logísticas, el dominio de los procedimientos, y el dominio tecnológico. Los resultados de la muestra aplicada a empresas, permiten validar la necesidad contar con un modelo de formación para el mejoramiento de las operaciones logísticas en las empresas establecidas en la Provincia de Colón como ventaja competitiva

La educación de nivel superior con la implementación de las TIC's

La educación ha sufrido a lo largo del tiempo muchos cambios, tanto en lo que respecta a los conocimientos que se han considerado indispensables para los estudiantes como a las herramientas que se utilizan para su desarrollo, desde la enseñanza a través de la mayéutica hasta la enseñanza en salones equipados con tecnologías, sin embargo, la incorporación de las TIC´s en la educación por lo general no se realiza con una capacitación de los docentes para el uso más adecuado de las mismas en el desarrollo de sus unidades de aprendizaje. Las instituciones educativas en su gran mayoría se dedica a la adquisición de las TIC´s para el equipamiento de sus aulas pero pocas han establecido algún programa de capacitación a los docentes para el uso de esas herramientas, lo que es una decisión muy importante ya que esta capacitación le permite a los docentes obtener un mayor aprovechamiento de las TIC´s para que su cátedra tenga un mejor desarrollo. El presente trabajo pretende establecer algunos puntos de vista de diferentes autores con respecto a la incorporación de las TIC´s en la educación así como algunas ventajas y desventajas que pueden generar su uso en las aulas, con el propósito de establecer una forma más adecuada para la implementación de las mismas en la educación

Argentina : economic challenges in an adverse international setting

To correct the major fiscal and inflationary imbalances built up in the previous decade, the new government that took office in December 2015 opted for a gradual fiscal adjustment, supported by a situation of abundant international liquidity. In parallel, the Argentine central bank assumed ambitious inflation-reducing objectives. However, in 2018 the lack of progress on the inflation front, the tightening of international financial conditions and a severe drought placed Argentina under the market’s gaze and prevented it from pursuing the financing of this gradual adjustmentaccordingly, the government decided to apply for IMF financial assistance. The agreement with the Fund, approved in June and amended in October 2018, plans for a rapid fiscal and monetary adjustment that will provide for a reduction in its twin deficits (fiscal and external alike) and an effective decline in inflation, moving the economy onto a stable growth path. Non-adiabatic modulation of premixed-flame thermoacoustic frequencies in slender tubes

This paper presents an experimental study of the influence of heat losses on the onset of thermoacoustic instabilities in methane–air premixed flames propagating in a horizontal tube of diameter, D=10 mm. Flames are ignited at the open end of the tube and propagate towards the closed end undergoing strong oscillations of different features owing to the interaction with acoustic waves. The frequency of oscillation and its axial location are controlled through the tube length L and the intensity of heat losses. These parameters are respectively modified in the experiments by a moveable piston and a circulating thermal bath of water prescribing temperature conditions. Main experimental observations show that classical one-dimensional predictions of the oscillation frequency do not accurately describe the phenomena under non-adiabatic real scenarios. In addition to the experimental measurements, a quasi-one-dimensional analysis of the burnt gases is provided, which introduces the effect of heat losses at the wall of the tube on the interplay between the acoustic field and the reaction sheet. As a result, this analysis provides an improved description of the interaction and accurately predicts the excited flame-oscillation harmonics through the eigenvalues of the non-adiabatic acoustics model. Unlike the original one-dimensional analysis, the comparison between the flame oscillation frequency provided by the non-adiabatic extended theory and the frequencies measured in our experiments is in excellent agreement in the whole range of temperatures considered. Las perspectivas políticas que parecían abrirse hace algo más de un año se han cerrado, en parte, con cierta consolidación de la situación anterior, en cuanto que siguen gobernando los responsables de la última ley de educación fuertemente contestada por la comunidad educativa. La novedad es que ahora lo hacen en minoría, teniendo que negociar con otros partidos afines que les den apoyo en sus políticas. En esta situación, quienes antes aplicaban el rodillo de la mayoría parlamentaria ahora reconocen la necesidad de un pacto más amplio que, haciendo algunas pequeñas concesiones, incorpore a los más partidos posibles para consolidar sus políticas, modificando las cosas lo menos posible. Mapping the Mechanical Properties of Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) Banded Spherulites by Nanoindentation

Nanoindentation provides clear evidence that spherulite banding can be associated with a continuous modulation of mechanical properties from the more compliant peaks to the stiffer valleys. The structural arrangement in polymer-banded spherulites has intrigued scientists for many decades, and the debate has been recently intensified with the advent of new experimental evidence. The present paper approaches this issue by exploring the local mechanical properties of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate)-ringed spherulites via nanoindentation and discussing the confidence of the results. It was found that storage modulus and hardness across the banding morphology can be described as a sequence of regular oscillations with a periodicity that exactly matches the one observed using optical and atomic force microscopy. Diseño y desarrollo de software para experimentación virtual de física moderna

A nivel de licenciatura es común prescindir de laboratorios avanzados de física moderna debido a lo especializado del equipo y el riesgo que conlleva para el estudiante. Por otro lado el pretender entender alguna teoría solo a través de ecuaciones disminuye la atención de los estudiantes y por lo tanto su desempeño en el curso. Estas razones nos llevan a la creación de software con el cual los estudiantes experimenten virtualmente. En el experimento virtual se corroboran los conceptos físicos expuestos por el profesor en clase obteniendo una mejor asimilación de los mismos, así como la solución de problemas a través del experimento. El software usado incrementa la atención del estudiante ya que analiza de manera gráfica y animada los conceptos, esto lo hace más sencillo, según comentarios de los estudiantes en las encuestas. En este trabajo se presenta el avance del diseño y creación de software para experimentación virtual de física moderna. ABSTRACT At the undergraduate level is common without advanced modern physics laboratories due to specialized equipment and the risk involved for the student. On the other hand pretend to understand some theory only through equations reduces students' attention and therefore their performance in the course. These reasons lead to the creation of software with which students experience virtually. In the virtual experiment physical concepts presented in class by the teacher getting better assimilate them, as well as solving problems through experiments corroborate. The software used increased student attention and analyzing graphical and animated concepts way, this makes it easier, according to comments from students in the polls. Análisis de las capacidades de visualización espacial e intelectual en los alumnos con talento matemático

No hay consenso entre los investigadores sobre el papel que ocupa la visualización en la caracterización del talento matemático. En este estudio se analizan las capacidades de visualización espacial de un grupo de alumnos con talento matemático a partir de los resultados obtenidos en el test de inteligencia general de Raven y en los componentes espaciales de los test PMA y DAT-5. El grupo experimental está constituido por 25 alumnos del segundo curso de un programa para el estímulo del talento matemático (ESTALMAT) y el grupo control por 33 alumnos de 4º de ESO. El análisis de los resultados indica que los alumnos con talento matemático puntúan significativamente más alto que los del grupo control en los tres test y que la escala espacial del test PMA resulta un instrumento más discriminatorio del grado de visualización que la escala espacial del test DAT-5 para estos alumnos. There is not a consensus built among researchers about the role played by visualization abilities in the characterization of mathematical talent. This paper analyzes the visual abilities of a group of mathematically gifted students from the results obtained in the Raven intelligence test and the spatial components of PMA and DAT-5 tests. The experimental group comprised 25 second-grade students as part of a project for stimulation of mathematical talent (ESTALMAT), and the control group comprised 33 fourth-grade ESO students. Analysis of the results shows that mathematically gifted students achieve significantly higher scores than control students in the three tests, and that PMA spatial scale results in a better discrimination of visualization capabilities than DAT-5 spatial scale for these students
