Dislocation and globalization on the United States-Mexico border: The case of garment workers in El Paso, Texas

Se analizan las repercusiones del Tratado de Libre Comercio en América del Norte (NAFTA en inglés) sobre las trabajadoras de la industria textil de El Paso (Texas). Desde una perspectiva feminista basada en la articulación entre la raza/etnicidad, la clase y el género, entre otras categorías, intenta comprender y representar los procesos de deslocalización, las formas de resistencia y las alternativas a los estragos de la reestructuración neoliberal. La autora subraya que las trabajadoras desplazadas incorporan un imaginario democrático en el que la organización, la movilización y las expresiones múltiples de la autodeterminación son centrales para los marginados. Aunque reconoce que los logros son parciales e incompletos, considera positivamente el potencial del imaginario democrático para la construcción de una sociedad más inclusiva en el ámbito de la frontera

Análisis de los niveles de satisfacción de los usuarios de actividades deportivas, en el club Codelco-Chile.

Tesis (Magíster en Gestión de la Actividad Física y Deportiva)RESUMEN: Se analizan las características particulares que posee el club, las cuales condicionan a la organización a seguir ciertos patrones para lograr una buena participación deportiva de sus socios. Para conocer cuáles son estas características es indispensable realizar un análisis del entorno. Durante el transcurso de este estudio, se evalúa la comunicación que posee la organización deportiva con sus clientes y cómo la información condiciona la participación de los socios. La escasa investigación que existe en Chile en cuanto a gestión deportiva, implica cometer errores sólo por desconocimiento. Es por esta razón, que la presente investigación tiene importancia para las futuras gestiones que se realicen en clubes, ya que presenta un análisis de una organización deportiva enfocada principalmente a la satisfacción del cliente. Palabras claves: USUARIO, ORGANIZACIÓN DEPORTIVA, ANALISIS DEL ENTORNO.ABSTRACT: Analyzed the particular characteristics possessed by the club, which condition the organization to follow certain patterns to achieve good participation sports partners. To know what are these characteristics, is important to do an environmental analysis. During the course of this study, we evaluate the communication that has the sports organization to its customers and how information affects the participation of partners. The limited research that exists in Chile in terms of sports management involves making mistakes just because of ignorance. Is for this reason that this research is important for future actions that are undertaken in xii clubs, it presents an analysis of a sports organization primarily focused on customer satisfaction. This raises the theoretical underpinnings of the work and indicates that the same happened with the Bibliographic Heritage Union Catalogue not only just a good approach, but it is essential to sustained effort over the years. The study examines the virtual library from the user viewpoint and the reader and shows how their interests are always aiming to achieve the primary document; therefore the objective of the librarian must always save time for the reader (to get the book you want). It shows how a virtual library can be accessed from the same OPAC to multiple sources of digital information and how as a general purpose search engines can access virtual libraries. He insists that the creation of metadata allows digital objects are available, accessible and visible data sets ever greater thanks to the collection of metadata used by aggregators. It makes reference to digital imaging as a first step to establish virtual libraries and how to move beyond using optical character recognition. Particular emphasis is placed on new mobile devices and how reading is necessary to address the problems of copyright from a technical standpoint as well as legal and the need to uniquely identify each digital object. It also refers to the new rules of resource description and access to them, absolutely essential to the digital environment and how it is necessary that the metadata can be transmitted using other metadata in turn containing all information about the digital object and the digital object itself. It stresses the need to preserve digital resources and to develop digital preservation policies unlike as was done with printed books and, finally, is the next goal of virtual libraries in elaborating ontologies for semantic Web using entities and relationships designed specifically for that purpose
