Coordination Chemistry of Perhalogenated Cyclopentadienes and Alkynes, X[1]. - Synthesis and Molecular Structure of a Cyclopentadienyl-1,3-dithiol Complex, [C5Cl3(SH)2]Mn(CO)3 The reaction of [C5Cl4Li]Mn(CO)3 with elemental sulfur leads to [C5Cl4SLi]Mn(CO)3 (1), which is easily oxidized by air to the disulfide (OC)3Mn[C5Cl4S-SCl4C5]Mn(CO)3 (2). Addition of one equivalent of BuLi, followed by an excess of S8 produces the dithiolate [C5Cl3(SLi)2]Mn(CO)3 (3), which yields the dithiol [C5Cl3(SH)2]Mn(CO)3 (5) upon hydrolysis. Identifizierung dimensionierender Lastfälle auf Ebene finiter Elemente an einer Nurflügelstruktur im Vergleich zur Schnittlastmethode

Diese Arbeit entwickelt, implementiert und testet eine auf der Finite-Elemente-Analyse aufbauende Methode zur Identifizierung dimensionierender Lastfälle und vergleicht diese mit der klassischen Identifizierung durch die Schnittlastmethode. Für den Vergleich werden beide Methoden in den Vorentwurfsprozess des Nurflügels MULDICON implementiert. Es wird vermutet, dass die Schnittlastmethode an der unbestimmten, flächigen Struktur eines Nurflügels nicht alle dimensionierenden Lastfälle erkennt. Dies konnte nicht bestätigt werden, beide Methoden identifizieren alle dimensionierenden Lastfälle. Jedoch wertet die neue Methode die Lastfälle detaillierter aus und ist dabei unabhängig von der Form der Struktur. Außerdem bietet sie weitreichende Visualisierungs- und Interpretationsmöglichkeiten, die es beispielsweise möglich machen, im Vorentwurfsprozess Lastpfade darzustellen und hochbelastete Strukturbereiche zu erkennen

The construction of 'different civilizations' and their effects for 'old Turkish female immigrants' - discussed from an ethical perspective

In den Migrationsdiskursen der Dominanzbevölkerung in Deutschland spielt die Rede von 'verschiedenen Kulturen' eine zentrale Rolle. Von dieser dominanten Konstruktion sind 'alte türkische Immigrantinnen' in ganz eigentümlicher Weise betroffen - sie gelten als Bewahrerinnen einer 'rückständigen Kultur', als Opfer der Männer, unselbständig und übertrieben familienorientiert. Ausgehend von diesen beiden Beobachtungen reflektiert die Autorin kritisch das Ethos der Dominanzbevölkerung und entwirft Ansätze für lebensfördernde Neukonstruktionen. Unter Bezug auf die Annahmen des Radikalen Konstruktivismus sowie auf eine kontextuelle feministische christlich-theologische Ethik wird die Konstruktion der sozialen Kategorie 'Kultur' in den Migrationsdiskursen untersucht. Die Autorin verdeutlicht die lebenseinschränkende Wirkung dieser Konstruktion speziell hinsichtlich der Lebenssituation 'alter türkischer Frauen', die in Deutschland leben. Sie bezieht Gottebenbildlichkeit, Nächstenliebe und Gerechtigkeit auf das Verhalten der Dominanzbevölkerung gegenüber 'alten türkischen Immigrantinnen' und entwickelt Ansätze für die praktische Umsetzung. Als lebensförderlich, so ihr Fazit, können kategorienüberschreitende Ansätze gelten, die sich an der individuellen Biographie und Sozialisation von Menschen orientieren und nicht an der jeweils zugeschriebenen Kategorie 'Kultur'. Es ist daher dringend erforderlich, daß sich Angehörige der Dominanzbevölkerung, die gegenüber 'alten türkischen Immigrantinnen' von Privilegien profitieren, an kategorienüberschreitenden Neukonstruktionen beteiligen.Talking about ‘different civilizations‘ (in German ‘verschiedene Kulturen‘) is a very central part of the German discourses on migration. This construction of the dominating population in Germany concerns ‘old Turkish female immigrants‘ in a very peculiar and singular way – the women are supposed to keep a ‘backward civilization‘, to be victims of men, to be helpless, and excessively related to the family. Proceeding on these two observations the author reflects the ethos/moral of the dominating population and proposes life-advancing new constructions. Referring to the assumptions of the radical constructivism and to contextual feminist christian theological ethics the author reflects upon the construction of the social category ‘civilization‘ in the discourses on migration. She explains the life-restricting effects of this construction especially on the situation of ‘old Turkish women‘ living in Germany. She applies the theological categories God's image, charity and justice to the behaviour of the dominating population towards ‘old Turkish female immigrants‘ and outlines proposals for their realization. Life-advancing are concepts, which consider the individual biography and socialisation of each person instead of the social category ‘civilization‘. Therefore the dominating population in Germany who profits by privileges compared to ‘old Turkish female immigrants‘ is challenged to take part in the process of the construction of new concepts which go beyond such categories

Low-Temperature and High-Pressure Induced Swelling of a Hydrophobic Polymer-Chain in Aqueous Solution

We report molecular dynamics simulations of a hydrophobic polymer-chain in aqueous solution between $260 {K}$ and $420 {K}$ at pressures of $1 {bar}$, $3000 {bar}$, and $4500 {bar}$. The simulations reveal a hydrophobically collapsed state at low pressures and high temperatures. At $3000 {bar}$ and about $260 {K}$ and at $4500 {bar}$ and about $260 {K}$, however, a transition to a swelled state is observed. The transition is driven by a smaller volume and a remarkably strong lower enthalpy of the swelled state, indicating a steep positive slope of the corresponding transition line. The swelling is stabilized almost completely by the energetically favorable state of water in the polymers hydrophobic first hydration shell at low temperatures. Although surprising, this finding is consistent with the observation of a positive heat capacity of hydrophobic solvation. Moreover, the slope and location of the observed swelling transition for the collapsed hydrophobic chain coincides remarkably well with the cold denaturation transition of proteins.Comment: 9 pages, 9 figures, twocolumn revte

Direct zincation of ferrocene and ruthenocene by the synergic base [PMDETA.K(μ-TMP)(μ-Me)Zn(Me)] produces the monozincated complexes [{PMDETA.K(μ-Me)2Zn(Fc)}∞] and [{PMDETA.K(μ-Me)2Zn(Rc)}2] respectively, having similar monomeric (dinuclear) units but aggregating supramolecularly in very different polymeric and dimeric forms

(1,2,3,4,5)Pentachlorferrocen reagiert mit Butyllithium und anschließend mit MeSSMe zu [C5Cl4(SMe)]FeCP (Cp = η5-C5H5) (1). Durch Wiederholung dieser Prozedur lassen sich [C5Cl3(SMe)2]FeCp (2) und [C5Cl2(SMe)3]FeCp (3) erhalten. Eine Kristallstrukturanalyse von 2 zeigt eine 1,3-Anordnung der beiden SMe-Gruppen. Eine Anzahl unsymmetrischer Cymantrenbis- und tristhioether (4–6) wurde auf ähnliche Weise aus [C5Cl4(SR)]Mn(CO)3 bzw. [C5Cl3(SR)2]Mn(CO)3 (R = Me, Ph) dargestellt. Auch Cymantrenyl-Selenoether [C5Cl5−n(SeR)n]Mn(CO)3 (7–10) (R = Me, n = 1, 2, 3; R = Ph, n = 2) konnten erhalten werden

A multinuclear 1H, 13C and 11B solid-state MAS NMR study of 16- and 18-electron organometallic ruthenium and osmium carborane complexes

YesThe first 1H, 13C, 31P and 11B solid state MAS NMR studies of electron- deficient carborane-containing ruthenium and osmium complexes [Ru/Os(p-cym)(1,2-dicarba-closo-dodecaborane-1,2- dithiolate)] are reported. The MAS NMR data from these 16-electron complexes are compared to those of free carborane-ligand and an 18-electron triphenylphosphine ruthenium adduct, and reveal clear spectral differences between 16- and 18-electron organometallic carborane systems in the solid state.We thank the Swiss National Science Foundation (grant no. Untersuchung der Umsetzbarkeit eines aeroelastisch ähnlichen Halbmodells im European Transonic Windtunnel

Der Entwurf eines Flügel-Windkanalmodells in unterschiedlichen Materialvarianten für aeroelastische Untersuchungen im Europäischen transsonischen Windkanal (ETW) wird gezeigt. Das Windkanalmodell basiert auf der generischen Konfiguration DLR D150, einer Kurz- bzw. Mittelstreckenkonfiguration (150 PAX, single aisles, Ma_cruise=0.78).
