International audienceStudy of the musical manuscript MS MUS 572, Bibliothèque de Genève. This volume, of Parisian origin, is written around 1567 and contains psalms (translated by Marot and Bèze), spiritual songs and motets. Although the binding ornementation and its monogram has been studied in detail, irs precise provenance could not be established. Some clus couls indicate it come from the entourage of Jean II Brinon.

3D-CE5.h: Merge candidate list for disparity compensated prediction

    Get PDF
HEVC implements a candidate vector list for merge and skip modes. The construction of this list has been extensively studied in the JCT-VC group (see for instance JCTVC-G039). It has been shown in JCTVC-I0293 that it is possible to improve the HEVC coding performance by adding in the merge list copies of the first candidate shifted by an arbitrary offset. The same basis is considered in this document and applied to disparity compensation. A gain of 0.3 % is obtained on average on side views

International audienceLight field imaging offers unprecedented opportunities for advanced scene analysis and modelling, with potential applications in various domains such as augmented reality, 3D robotics, and microscopy. This paper illustrates the potential of dense video light fields for 3D scene modeling. We first recall the principles of plenoptic cameras and present a downloadable test dataset captured with a Raytrix 2.0 plenop-tic camera. Methods to estimate the scene depth and to construct a 3D point cloud representation of the scene from the captured light field are then described.

ARCHITECTURE TRANSPARENTE EN FIBRE MULTIMODE ET TECHNOLOGIE CWDM POUR UN RESEAU LOCAL DOMESTIQUE MULTIFORMAT

    Get PDF

Towards a multiservice & multiformat optical home area networks

International audienceWe propose mid and long term visions of optical Home Area Networks. The challenge is not only to increase the network capacity, but also to take into account the heterogeneity of the signals to be conveyed: Ethernet, RF TV and radio signals for wireless-end-connectivity. Two solutions are described: a mid term solution, based on an active star and centered on a multiformat switch, and a long term solution based on a fully transparent infrastructure, associated with optical wavelength multiplexing. These solutions and the corresponding realized setups will be described and compared in terms of performances, flexibility and robustness to future evolutions
