Biaix d'items i habilitat en fraccions

En este artículo se contemplan algunos conceptos clave en la Teoría de respuestas de Items (TRI): curvas características, significado de habilidad y discriminación en dicha Teoría. Se aplica el estudio de niveles de habilidad cognitiva en el aprendizaje de las fracciones en la Educación Básica en 5º y 8ºde EGB en España siguiendo el planteamiento de Onslow y Kieren. Los diseños gráficos muestran claramente las diferencias entre edades y cursos.We observe the main concepts about Item Response Theory (IRT): Item characteristic curves, the new meaning of discrimination and ability curves. We apply this ideas to the study of cognitive ability levels with the learning of fractions in elementary school in Spain. The designs showing better than the classic systems the differences between courses (5-8 EGB) and some other ineresting characteristics about the Onslow-Kieren's ideas

El treball de les VI Jornades sobre Ensenyament i Aprenentatge de les Matemàtiques s'organitzà en tres tipus de sessions: (a) Tres conferències plenàries, (b) grups de treball amb participacions convidades i comunicacions, (c) exposicions de materials i (d) una taula rodona. S’hi recullen exemples i situacions de gran valor per a la classe. La síntesi, tot i no coincidir amb les línies de la Reforma pel que fa a l’esquema, reflecteix els seus principis bàsics, ja que es presenten -entre altres- treballs de visualització

Geometrical Transformations in the Mathematics: Textbooks in Kosovo and Catalonia

The rationale behind this study concerns the issues school administrators and teachers/prospective teachers face over the progress of these students in mathematics classrooms in two different countries (Spain/Catalonia and Kosovo). This study aimed to present a method of examining primary school mathematics textbooks with the purpose of evaluating students' expected past learning and comparing students' expected geometrical transformations learning across the different curricula. The analytical procedure of the examination of text content as presented in this study is itself a diagnostic technique for assessment of the students' past learning, which addressed the main objective of the study. As a main result, we found that the organization of content is based upon a disconnected way of presentation about transformations, and a few attentions paid to variability issues

In this paper we present the results of using an interactive geometrical environment, regarding the acquisition of certain mathematical skills by deaf students (12-16 years old). Communication and variability skills are analyzed when the class is organized using computer distance support. Uso de las TIC en las prácticas de la formación inicial de futuros profesores de secundaria de matemáticas en España

En este artículo se describe primero el contexto de la formación inicial de profesores de matemáticas de secundaria de España. A continuación se describe el uso que hacen de las TIC en su periodo de prácticas los futuros profesores del Máster de Secundaria en Matemáticas de la Universidad de Barcelona (España), donde tienen que diseñar e implementar una unidad didáctica. También se analizan, en sus Trabajos Final de Máster, los avances que se producen como resultado de la reflexión sobre su propia práctica. Resulta significativo que muchos futuros profesores no llegaron a utilizar las TIC en la implementación de su unidad didáctica. Por otra parte, e La reflexión propiciada en el Trabajos Final de Máster sobre la propia práctica, con el objetivo mejorar su unidad didáctica para una futura implementación, produce en los alumnos declaraciones de intenciones que permiten inferir un desarrollo del nivel de uso de las TIC en sus futuras clases

Tot mestre d’Educació Primària sap de les dificultats de plantejar la resolució de problemes en matemàtiques. En els darrers anys molts autors han tractat de sistematitzar com se n’adquireix el coneixement, i quines són les dificultats més importants. Les diverses recerques realitzades han mostrat que un dels temes importants que porta lligada la resolució de problemes és el fet que s’utilitzen sovint representacions diferents. El llenguatge verbal dels enunciats, els dibuixos que s’hi acompanyen… en tota representació és cabdal trobar-ne el significat.
