Des voies de recherches sont ensuite prĂ©sentĂ©es.This research studies the impact of manager’s perceived role tensions on work commitment. The results of a study conducted on 168 department heads working in the retailing industry show that reducing role conflict and ambiguity improves affective organizational commitment and job involvement. Furthermore, reducing role overload has a positive impact on calculative organizational commitment and occupational commitment. We conclude the paper with proposals for relevant future research.
OpenAlea 2.0: Architecture of an integrated modeling environment on the web
International audiencePlant modeling is based on the use of a diverse set of design paradigms (L-systems, visual programming, imperative languages or sketch-based interfaces). In this poster, the architecture of a new multi-paradigm and integrated modeling environment is presented. This desktop application will become a distributed web application, allowing to run simulations on a cloud computing system and share virtual experiments on the web. The modeling environment will run on a web browser using HTML5 and WebGL technologies
Contacting individual Fe(110) dots in a single electron-beam lithography step
We report on a new approach, entirely based on electron-beam lithography
technique, to contact electrically, in a four-probe scheme, single
nanostructures obtained by self-assembly. In our procedure, nanostructures of
interest are localised and contacted in the same fabrication step. This
technique has been developed to study the field-induced reversal of an internal
component of an asymmetric Bloch domain wall observed in elongated structures
such as Fe(110) dots. We have focused on the control, using an external
magnetic field, of the magnetisation orientation within N\'eel caps that
terminate the domain wall at both interfaces. Preliminary magneto-transport
measurements are discussed demonstrating that single Fe(110) dots have been
contacted.Comment: 5 page
OpenAlea: A visual programming and component-based software platform for plant modeling
International audienceAs illustrated by the approaches presented during the 5th FSPM workshop (Prusinkiewicz and Hanan 2007, and this issue), the development of functional-structural plant models requires an increasing amount of computer modeling. All these models are developed by different teams in various contexts and with different goals. Efficient and flexible computational frameworks are required to augment the interaction between these models, their reusability, and the possibility to compare them on identical datasets. In this paper, we present an open-source platform, OpenAlea, that provides a user-friendly environment for modelers, and advanced deployment methods. OpenAlea allows researchers to build models using a visual programming interface and provides a set of tools and models dedicated to plant modeling. Models and algorithms are embedded in OpenAlea components with well defined input and output interfaces that can be easily interconnected to form more complex models and define more macroscopic components. The system architecture is based on the use of a general purpose, high-level, object-oriented script language, Python, widely used in other scientific areas. We briefly present the rationale that underlies the architectural design of this system and we illustrate the use of the platform to assemble several heterogeneous model components and to rapidly prototype a complex modeling scenario
Chemically modified polysulfones for molecular imprinting. Synthesis and complexation with a fluorescent model template
Polysulfone (PSU) was chemically modified to prepare new molecular imprinted membranes (MIMs). Several amounts of amine and sulfonyl groups were introduced into the PSU chemical structure in order to create interactions with acid or base templates, such as biomolecules or biomacromolecules. A fluorescent dye, Acridine Orange base (AO), was used as a model template and its complexation with the prepared PSUs was monitored by spectroscopic techniques. This study showed an absence of complexation with the native PSU and a strong complexation with the aminated and the sulfonated PSUs. Partially allylated PSU bearing amine or sulfonyl groups were also synthesized. These compounds are expected to be used as precursors for designing new crosslinked molecular imprinting membranes (MIMs), exhibiting high stability of the template memory
