ETAP: Energy-Aware Timing Analysis of Intermittent Programs

Energy harvesting battery-free embedded devices rely only on ambient energy harvesting that enables stand-alone and sustainable IoT applications. These devices execute programs when the harvested ambient energy in their energy reservoir is sufficient to operate and stop execution abruptly (and start charging) otherwise. These intermittent programs have varying timing behavior under different energy conditions, hardware configurations, and program structures. This article presents Energy-aware Timing Analysis of intermittent Programs (ETAP), a probabilistic symbolic execution approach that analyzes the timing and energy behavior of intermittent programs at compile time. ETAP symbolically executes the given program while taking time and energy cost models for ambient energy and dynamic energy consumption into account. We evaluate ETAP by comparing the compile-time analysis results of our benchmark codes and real-world application with the results of their executions on real hardware. Our evaluation shows that ETAP’s prediction error rate is between 0.0076% and 10.8%, and it speeds up the timing analysis by at least two orders of magnitude compared to manual testing.acceptedVersio

Executing Expansive Learning, which means learning without any schedule, place or intructor, has confused every astronomers' mind. For us, as the students of different universities and perspectives, it was confusing how to share our knowledge and experience. The astronomy students who met at the 4th National Astronomy Student Congress in 2006, started a solution based on share of knowledge and experience. This report tells us the story of Beyaz Cüce workgroup which created as a result of sharing the knowledge and ideas.peer-reviewe

This research was carried out in order to examine and compare the offenses of forgery in the document regulated in the Turkish Criminal Law and similar acts with crimed mentioned in the tax evasion offenses included in article 359 of the Tax Procedure Law in the context of doctrine and judicial decisions. For this purpose, first of all, the mentioned offenses have been examined under separate headings. While conducting this examination, the material and moral elements of the mentioned offenses, their special appearance and prosecution procedures were mentioned. In this review, opinions in the doctrine and many current Court of Cassation decisions were used. After examining the two types of offenses, the difference and similarities between these offenses; primarily the elements of the offenses, their special appearances, the prosecution procedures; then it was dealt with in terms of the subject of offenses with its ability to deceive. In addition, conceptual differences and similarities between these offenses were touched on and it was discussed whether there was a special norm general norm relationship between the offenses. As a result of these investigations, it was concluded that the most important difference between these offenses was in terms of the ability to deceive, and the decision of the General Assembly of the Court of Cassation of Assembly of Criminal Chamber given in this context guided us. Among the offenses mentioned; It has been determined that there are very important differences in terms of elements, special appearance forms, prosecution methods and legal issues. In addition, it has been concluded that even the concepts with the same name used in these offenses have different meanings, especially in the face of the definitions in the Tax Procedure Law. As a result of these findings, it was concluded that there is no special norms and general norms relationship between these offenses and the offenses are completely different from each other
