Robust output stabilization: improving performance via supervisory control
We analyze robust stability, in an input-output sense, of switched stable
systems. The primary goal (and contribution) of this paper is to design
switching strategies to guarantee that input-output stable systems remain so
under switching. We propose two types of {\em supervisors}: dwell-time and
hysteresis based. While our results are stated as tools of analysis they serve
a clear purpose in design: to improve performance. In that respect, we
illustrate the utility of our findings by concisely addressing a problem of
observer design for Lur'e-type systems; in particular, we design a hybrid
observer that ensures ``fast'' convergence with ``low'' overshoots. As a second
application of our main results we use hybrid control in the context of
synchronization of chaotic oscillators with the goal of reducing control
effort; an originality of the hybrid control in this context with respect to
other contributions in the area is that it exploits the structure and chaotic
behavior (boundedness of solutions) of Lorenz oscillators.Comment: Short version submitted to IEEE TA
State Youth Policy as Factor of Youth Welfare
This study demonstrates an attempt to build up the system of criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the youth policy implementation in education institutions and special organs. The assessing is underpinned by several criteria. These criteria are: criterion of matching priorities of youth policy expectations and the young people needs, criterion of consistency of priorities in forming and implementing national and regional youth policy, criterion of consistency work of various regional and local organizations and social institutions, criterion for mental and physical health of young people, criterion of the general level of development of social activity of youth, the level of youth`s crime
White organic light-emitting diodes with an ultra-thin premixed emitting layer
We described an approach to achieve fine color control of fluorescent White
Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLED), based on an Ultra-thin Premixed emitting
Layer (UPL). The UPL consists of a mixture of two dyes (red-emitting
4-di(4'-tert-butylbiphenyl-4-yl)amino-4'-dicyanovinylbenzene or fvin and
green-emitting 4-di(4'-tert-butylbiphenyl-4-yl)aminobenzaldehyde or fcho)
premixed in a single evaporation cell: since these two molecules have
comparable structures and similar melting temperatures, a blend can be
evaporated, giving rise to thin films of identical and reproducible composition
compared to those of the pre-mixture. The principle of fine color tuning is
demonstrated by evaporating a 1-nm-thick layer of this blend within the
hole-transport layer (4,4'-bis[N-(1-naphtyl)-N-phenylamino]biphenyl
(\alpha-NPB)) of a standard fluorescent OLED structure. Upon playing on the
position of the UPL inside the hole-transport layer, as well as on the premix
composition, two independent parameters are available to finely control the
emitted color. Combined with blue emission from the heterojunction, white light
with Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage 1931 color coordinates (0.34,
0.34) was obtained, with excellent color stability with the injected current.
The spectrum reveals that the fcho material does not emit light due to
efficient energy transfer to the red-emitting fvin compound but plays the role
of a host matrix for fvin, allowing for a very precise adjustment of the red
dopant amount in the device

Non-local convolution type operators with potential: essential and infinite discrete spectrum
The goal of this note is to study the spectrum of a self-adjoint convolution
operator in with an integrable kernel that is perturbed by
an essentially bounded real-valued potential tending to zero at infinity. We
show that the essential spectrum of such operator is the union of the spectrum
of the convolution operator and of the essential range of the potential. Then
we provide several sufficient conditions for the existence of a countable
sequence of discrete eigenvalues. For operators having non-connected essential
spectrum we give sufficient conditions for the existence of discrete
eigenvalues in the corresponding spectral gaps
NEUROMARKETING OF FINANCIAL REPORTING: RUSSIAN VIEW OF METHODOLOGY FOR IMPROVING REPORTING
Neuromarketing of financial reporting is a topic of interest to all representatives of the professional accounting and auditing environment. This paper will present the main problems of modern financial accounting, and possible solutions to them using neuromarketing methods. Thus, in order for financial statements to allow companies to attract new investments, as well as to avoid penalties from the tax authorities, organizations need to regard reporting as a commodity whose main consumers are users of these financial statements. In order to make this product interesting for consumers, companies need to attract their attention using neuromarketing methods, which will allow investors, tax authorities and lending organizations to quickly and efficiently use of data on the company\u27s business operations, as well as make the necessary economic decisions faster. Thus, an easy, understandable and accessible presentation of the results of an enterprise’s economic activity at the reporting date may allow both firms and users of financial statements to interact more effectively
