Librarians involved in assisting researchers with planning, execution and documentation of systematic literature searches are well aware of the considerable amount of practice required to conduct reliable, transparent, and reproducible literature searches. In addition to building the necessary skills and knowledge, factors such as changes in databases, updates in standards or methodologies, and development of new tools makes it difficult to keep up to date. In response an online community of practice has been established in Norway to serve as a platform for facilitating knowledge sharing in these areas. However, building and maintaining an active community is not an easy task. This article describes the development, the activities, the challenges, and the possible future for the community

The Time-Dependent Multiple-Vehicle Prize-Collecting Arc Routing Problem

In this paper, we introduce a multi vehicle version of the Time-Dependent Prize-Collecting Arc Routing Problem (TD-MPARP). It is inspired by a situation where a transport manager has to choose between a number of full truck load pick-ups and deliveries to be performed by a fleet of vehicles. Real-life traffic situations where the travel times change with the time of day are taken into account. Two metaheuristic algorithms, one based on Variable Neighborhood Search and one based on Tabu Search, are proposed and tested for a set of benchmark problems, generated from real road networks and travel time information. Both algorithms are capable of finding good solutions, though the Tabu Search approach generally shows better performance for large instances whereas the VNS is superior for small instances. We discuss the structural differences of the implementation of the algorithms which explain these results

En primadonna på Gjøvik

Konsentrasjonen av medisinske og helsefaglige bibliotekarer fra hele landet var under årets SMH-dager på Gjøvik så stor at «Alle har en bibliotekar på Gjøvik» ikke var langt fra sannheten. Både mandagens seminar og de to etterfølgende konferansedagene var godt besøkt, og heldig var det, siden det var mye interessant å hente. Vi fikk faglig påfyll, vi fikk innsikt i arketyper, vi fikk presentert prosjekter fra hele landet og kanskje fikk vi også et spark i vår kunnskapsbaserte bak. I det følgende vil jeg presentere et ikke representativt utvalg av foredrag fra SMH-dagene, finne frem min indre primadonna og i stor grad unnlate å basere det på empiri
