    Eddy current generation enhancement using ferrite for electromagnetic acoustic transduction

    Eddy currents are generated in an electrically conducting surface as a step in electromagnetic acoustic transduction (EAT). In eddy current testing, wire coils are often wound onto a ferrite core to increase the generated eddy current. With EAT, increased coil inductance is unacceptable as it leads to a reduction in the amplitude of a given frequency of eddy current from a limited voltage source, particularly where the current arises from capacitor discharge. The authors present a method for EAT where ferrite is used to increase the eddy current amplitude without significantly increasing coil inductance or changing the frequency content of the eddy current

    Analysis of purity and concentration of isolated DNA is a way to see the quality of isolated DNA. This research was conducted as an initial stage to give. Information about research conducted in future research. The purpose of this research is to provide references and information regarding DNA isolation techniques in chondroitin samples, so that they can be used in similar studies. The sample consisted of a sample of chondroitin which was weighed 50 mg and tested 10 times. The isolation method used in this study is the centrifuge column isolation method, while the purity and concentration analysis were analyzed using a nano photometer which was read at a wavelength of A260/A280. The value shown from the nano photometer was then analyzed statistically using the average test to determine the interpretation of the results from the data obtained. The results of DNA isolation obtained that the DNA concentration values ​​tested were in the range of 39.10 - 54.70 with an average concentration value of 45.15. The value of the purity of the isolated DNA tested was in the range of 2.16 – 2.28 with an average purity value of 2.22. Based on the results of the DNA confirmation test of the isolation carried out using real-time PCR, it showed that the isolated sample was amplified at a value of Ct 36.43 while the positive control was amplified at Ct 32.49. Based on the research results, it was found that all samples tested showed good average values ​​of DNA concentration and purity so that the results of the DNA isolation tested could be used as templates in real-time PCR analysis

    Pulsed Eddy Current Imaging of Inclined Surface Cracks

    Inclined fatigue cracks can potentially cause severe damage to metallic structures as they affect larger region in the tested structure compared to crack perpendicular to the sample surface. The abilitiy to detect and characterize such cracks is paramount in non-destructive testing (NDT). Pulsed eddy current testing (PEC) is known to offer a broadband of excitation frequencies, which in conjuction with C-scan imaging, may offer discrimination of inclination angles of cracks. Finite element modelling (FEM) was carried out to study the effects of different crack inclination angles, while experimental results were used to verify the FEM results. Selection of both time and frequency domain features for C-scan image construction was also presented, where C-scan images of peak value and amplitude at 200 Hz were shown to be potentially capable in determining different inclination angles. Nevertheless, between these two signal teatures, the amplitude at 200 Hz was found to be more effective in the discriminataion of inclined cracks

    Detection of Lysteria monocytogenes in Frozen Meatballs Using Real-Time PCR

    Detection of pathogenic bacteria Listeria monocytogenes in processed food products of frozen meatballs is one of the critical test parameters in product quality testing. The challenge in testing product quality is how to find a reliable and effective test method to generate test results data. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide information or references for similar research. The method used in this research is the enrichment method with a direct isolation technique and amplification using real-time PCR. Data analysis was carried out based on 2 main criteria which included: (1) Ct analysis (Cycle threshold) and (2) melting temperature (Tm) analysis. From the results of the analysis using real-time PCR, the results of the tested samples were detected at Ct 11.60 with a Tm value of 81.50. For NTC control not detected, this indicates that the master mix used is in good condition and no contamination occurred when testing the sample. The use of this NTC control plays an important role in monitoring the quality of the master mic and test run. For the LOD control and positive control, the results were detected, whereas in the LOD control, the Ct value was detected at 10.08 and the Tm value was at 81.30. for positive control, the value of Ct was detected at 10.85 and the value of Tm was at 82.0. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the test method used can detect Listeria monocytogenes in processed meat products in the form of frozen meatballs

    The Flight Deck or cockpit is designed to support the prosecution of aircraft mission. For aircraft with commercial purpose such as passenger transport aircraft, there must be good “fit” between the human, the machine which composed of various aircraft system and the aircraft mission; and these are what the Flight Deck design process needs to ensure but not limited to display design, aircraft control, automation, HCI on the Flight Deck and pilot's view to outside through cockpit windows namely external vision. The external vision must satisfy regulatory requirements which intended to ensure that the view is adequate for pilots to operate the aircraft safely and gives them a reasonable opportunity to see and avoid other aircraft that pose a collision threat. Concurrently during critical periods of flight, it is important that the flight crew access information in front of his view with minimal head rotation. Cockpit-Displays with critical flight information should then be located to these locations. Compromising both external vision and internal vision as Pilot's visibility should be attained

    The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the granting of restitution rights in the handling of beatings, the implementation of restitution rights in the handling of beatings in the Semarang Big City Resort Police Department, as well as the obstacles faced and solutions in granting restitution rights in the handling of beatings in the Semarang Big City Resort Police.This study uses empirical juridical research methods, with descriptive analytical research specifications, the data used in this study are secondary data, obtained through literature studies and primary data obtained through field research which are then analyzed qualitatively using the theory of legal certainty, theory of law enforcement .The results of this study are: (1). The implementation of restitution rights at the level of investigation in the handling of beatings in the Semarang Big City Resort Police Department. Efforts to grant restitution rights at the investigation level should investigators choose and sort out which cases can be given restitution rights at the investigation level so that victims of criminal offenses receive compensation accordingly with what has been suffered by the victims of the crime and the case can be completed in the level of investigation with peace between the victim and the suspect.
