Design of a unit to produce hot distilled water for the same power consumption as a water heater
Unit recovers 97% of water contained in pretreated waste water. Some factors are: cleansing agent prevents fouling of heat transfer surface by highly concentrated waste; absence of dynamic seals reduces required purge gas flow rate; and recycle loop maintains constant flushing process to carry cleansing agent across evaporation surface

A disciplined entrepreneurship framework for building a healthcare business: the case of Amarsi
Due to the ageing of baby boomers, the drop in birth rate, and the growth in life expectancy,
Italy had the greatest share of the population over the age of 65 in European countries in 2019,
accounting for 22.8% (Shaulova and Biagi, 2022).
These specific characteristics, which are currently on the rise, have caught the interest of a
growing number of stakeholders, including the government, investors, and industry
professionals, in the Italian healthcare sector.
Building on the world leading entrepreneurial framework of twenty-four steps to disciplined
entrepreneurship, this thesis provides a pathway to entrepreneurship.
The unique business idea that emerged from this journey is the provision of a unique service in
an intermediate, more specialized institution that allows for more immediate interventions than
a retirement home, but at the same time, is less structured than a hospita
Police Reforms and Citizen Complaints: Utilizing Citizen Complaint Data when Reexamining the State of American Policing
Police violence in the United States has reignited calls for police reform in the past 10 to 15 years. Violent encounters captured on video have reinforced the claims that the current state of the American police needs to be reexamined, given how widespread reform efforts have been published and varied efforts to embrace reform have been implemented. Common reform themes have focused on police transparency, accountability, and training. Some research has examined citizen encounters or the role that community has in a community policing framework. However, citizen complaints have not been utilized or systematically examined as much as they could be. Part of the issue stems from the lack of data or quality of data that is available. This thesis examines citizen complaint data against officers in the New York City Police Department alongside a review of police reformist literature to highlight the gaps in prior research to discuss how reform efforts can benefit from the use of citizen complaint data

FOR A CONSCIUOS FRUITION OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF ANCIENT NOTO (SICILY). EFIAN PROJECT AS OPPORTUNITY FOR VALORISATION
The archaeological site of Ancient Noto is all that remains of one of the most interesting and important cities in the Est part of Sicily. Architecture and political life made Noto a point of reference for the island, expecially in XVI and XVII century, before it was destroyed by a devastating earthquake in 1963. A general project of safeguard, together with archaeological excavations, could hand a great amount of information, archaeological finds, pieces of architecture, that are useful to understand the site, known as a "Sicilian Pompei". Our intervention has the aim to describe the importance of EFIAN (Experimental Fruition Ingenious Ancient Noto). The project is carried out as a collaboration between Palermo University, Catania University, SIQUILLIYA s.r.l. and Service & Advice s.r.l.. The project answers to the need of improving the valorisation of the site, according to the principles of Italian Code for Cultural Heritage and Landscape. EFIAN's purpose is that of improving public's sensibilisation, to open lines of research and restauration of monuments. The working method is based on the strong relationship established between History, Architectonic Relief, Restauration, and Study of ancient technics of construction linked to the territory. The research is supported by new generation technologies. Datas are used to build digital reconstructions of ruins in the shape of virtual anastylosis and digital reconstruction of whole buildings. Four different sites have been studied during the project development
