NNLO non-resonant corrections to threshold top-pair production from e+ e- collisions: Endpoint-singular terms
We analyse the subleading non-resonant contributions to the e+ e- -> W+ W- b
bbar cross section at energies near the top-antitop threshold. These correspond
to next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) corrections with respect to the
leading-order resonant result. We show that these corrections produce 1/epsilon
endpoint singularities which precisely cancel the finite-width divergences
arising in the resonant production of the W+ W- b bbar final state from
on-shell decays of the top and antitop quarks at the same order. We also
provide analytic results for the (m_t/Lambda)^2, (m_t/Lambda) and
(m_t/Lambda)^0 log(Lambda) terms that dominate the expansion in powers of
(Lambda/m_t) of the complete set of NNLO non-resonant corrections, where Lambda
is a cut imposed on the invariant masses of the b W pairs that is neither too
tight nor too loose (m_t Gamma_t << Lambda^2 << m_t^2).Comment: 36 pages, 6 figures. v2: minor title change and a few trivial

Progression of the management of sports sponsorship in Spain. 22th Century?
Economic crises deepen the wit and it is a suitable period to gamble and innovate. Prior to the current situations, they have brought about them new paradigms in the field of communication, fruit of this need for change that leads to a sector or market affected by the economic downturn. The sponsorship, as a technique of communication, has lived it; and at the present time it must reinvent itself and adapt and progress. This paper defends that the sponsorship in the sport area must be managed under a relational perspective and/or network, working to forge relationships that allow to the managers to take advantage of synergies between the participating entities

Examining sociodemographic factors of life satisfaction and happiness perception based on ESS 2016 data
[EN] The present study aims to analyze sociodemographic aspects such as gender, age, education, income source or country impacts on Wellbeing perception, based on records from the European Social Survey - 2016. The WB perception has been examined through life satisfaction and happiness self-report evaluation of individuals involved in the survey. Several statistical studies as the ANOVA test of one factor (P-value 0.000), post-hoc Bonferroni-Tukey’ tests, or comparison tests for column proportions, when it is required, have been considered to each analysis. The originality of this study relies on the size of the sample, and the recently of data. There are lots of studies examining the concept, although they present smaller sizes and data. Present study pretends to corroborate previous research and furthermore, provide interesting findings of the country or income souce disparities. How do digital transformation and the internet use influence our wellbeing perception?
[EN] Digital transformation and the internet are changing the way people relate to others, but also the way individuals to themselves and their wellbeing perception.
In this thesis, there have been examined definitions, affections, and considerations relative to digital transformation, internet, or wellbeing to deepen and understand better the concepts that will take part in our analysis.
There, it has been analyzed the internet use among European Countries attending data provided by the European Social Survey (2016) on a sample of more than 34.700 respondents from 18 countries and its relationship with WB perception of individuals.
First, it has been examined the individual relationship of WB of people involved in the survey. Sociodemographic factors as age, education, gender, or country have also been considered to analyze differences. The same exercise has been done with internet use data.
Second, it has been examined the effect of considering both concepts (internet use and WB) together and interaction between them, for providing more extensive information and understanding.
Then, personal values have been introduced. Values influence people's lives and determine individuals' attitude, behavior, relationships with others and themselves, and even their WB perception. Thus, attending personal values and considerations individuals report on the survey, different personal profiles have been defined. And both, internet use and WB concepts, first at an individual level, and secondly considering their interaction, have been examined for each different profile.
FemenÃa Mulet, S. Bilingual Education in Spain: Analysis and Assessment of the Present Model
inconvenientes.Throughout the years, bilingual education has been increasing exponentially in
importance. In 1996 a preliminary bilingual education model is established in Spain, and
later on is adapted to the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for
Languages. The aim of this study is to deeply analyze the Spanish bilingual education
model and, based on that analysis, make a thorough assessment, stating the model’s
advantages and shortcomings, and to propose solutions that may help students get better
results. Before that, however, some background on bilingual education is going to be given,
explaining its benefits and hindrances.Departamento de FilologÃa InglesaGrado en Estudios Inglese
Resonance saturation of the chiral couplings at NLO in 1/Nc
The precision obtainable in phenomenological applications of Chiral
Perturbation Theory is currently limited by our lack of knowledge on the
low-energy constants (LECs). The assumption that the most important
contributions to the LECs come from the dynamics of the low-lying resonances,
often referred to as the resonance saturation hypothesis, has stimulated the
use of large-Nc resonance lagrangians in order to obtain explicit values for
the LECs. We study the validity of the resonance saturation assumption at the
next-to-leading order in the 1/Nc expansion within the framework of Resonance
Chiral Theory (RChT). We find that, by imposing QCD short-distance constraints,
the chiral couplings can be written in terms of the resonance masses and
couplings and do not depend explicitly on the coefficients of the chiral
operators in the Goldstone boson sector of RChT. As we argue, this is the
counterpart formulation of the resonance saturation statement in the context of
the resonance lagrangian. Going beyond leading order in the 1/Nc counting allow
us to keep full control of the renormalization scale dependence of the LEC
estimates.Comment: 9 pages, 3 eps figures. Added references, version published in Phys.

Vanishing chiral couplings in the large-N_C resonance theory
The construction of a resonance theory involving hadrons requires
implementing the information from higher scales into the couplings of the
effective Lagrangian. We consider the large-Nc chiral resonance theory
incorporating scalars and pseudoscalars, and we find that, by imposing LO
short-distance constraints on form factors of QCD currents constructed within
this theory, the chiral low-energy constants satisfy resonance saturation at
NLO in the 1/Nc expansion.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures. Version published in Physical Review D. Some
