    Environmental Sustainability: Kosovo’s Waste Management and its Road to Circular Economy

    The aim of this project is to evaluate environmental degradation in Kosovo, by concentrating on waste management, and to give recommendations on how to improve waste management in Kosovo, through implementing circular economy concepts. More specifically, the focus of the project will be circular economy in the cycle of waste management, the possibilities and obstacles to implement it in Kosovo. Case studies are used to explain the waste management in UK and India and their process of switching from a traditional economy to a circular economy; as well as an analysis of Western Balkans’ experiences with waste management to understand the environment that Kosovo is surrounded with. In the end, the recommendations given will be directed to the government of Kosovo in order to improve waste management and influence businesses to adopt circular economy in their business plans. This study uses a mixed research technique by combining desk research and in-depth semi-structured interviews with Kosovar companies. The findings from the research show that waste management in Kosovo is faced with several problems, most notably in the aspects of weak enforcement of laws and strategies; poor waste collection infrastructure; high number of illegal dumpsites; lack of incentives to adapt circular economy principles, and lack of data and information. As a result of these problems, circular economy has not been able to be developed to a large extent. The analysis of the case studies assisted on deriving main recommendations for the Government of Kosovo which would improve environmental sustainability, incentivize any of the 3R concepts and improve the waste management situation in Kosovo. The recommendations are divided in three main categories: policy interventions at-large; support to companies to embrace circular economy; and better-managed landfills

    Implementasi E-learning Berbasis Assessment For Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Performa Belajar Mahasiswa

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh implemenetasi E-learning berbasis Assessment for learning terhadap performa belajar mahasiswa. Performa belajar mahasiswa terdiri atas hasil belajar, motivasi belajar dan aktifitas (keaktifan) belajar yang meliputi aktifitas bertanya dan memberikan tanggapan dalam proses diskusi di kelas. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian adalah metode true eksperimen. Desain yang akan digunakan yaitu posttest only control group – design. Kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol akan mendapatkan posttest. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah perwakilan mahasiswa semester 4 yang mengontrak matakuliah evaluasi dan asesmen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi soal kognitif untuk menjaring data hasil belajar, angket motivasi untuk menjaring data motivasi , dan lembar observasi keaktifan. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa elearning berbasis assessmen for learning (AfL) berupa pemberian feedback menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar, motivasi dan keaktifan. Perlakuan terhadap hasil belajar memiliki effect size sebesar 0.60 yang berarti sedang

    Interplay of Financial Structure and Financial Agent Behaviors in Economic Welfare

    Abstract. This paper unearths the interaction of financial intermediaries as financial structure and financial agent’s behaviors in shaping economic welfare given the dynamic nature of economy. The paper acts as an intuitive walk with interconnected conclusions from one finding to another and raises the issue through juxtaposing opposite economic policies (no-usury policy in ancient Greek civilization and modern capital market) with strikingly similar economic outcomes of wealth inequality. It sheds light that financial structure and agent’s behaviors have more important influence compared to that of financial instrument in shaping welfare. Through historical overview, it shows the responsiveness of economy (acceptance and adoption of interest rate). The qualitative synthesis suggests that economic policies ought to possess complementary approaches to overcome structural (moral hazard and credit risk) and behavioral issues (agent’s speculative tendency and predictive ability). The practical implication is capital and liquidity requirements to financial intermediaries for structural issues and Tobin tax and commitment of long-run fiscal policy for behavioral ones. The reflexive nature of economy has a theoretical and managerial implications that economic policies ought to be constantly evaluated and give a sense of security to intermediaries and agents to yield the most satisfactory outcomes.Keywords: economic welfare; financial architecture; financial intermediaries; financial agents; behavioral economics

In this thesis the author analyze about "Imagination and Indirect Expression in the Song Lyrics of Chandelier Album by Back Number Band ". This research aims to describe the imagination and the indirect expression contained in the Song Lyrics of Chandelier Album by Back Number Band. This research is literature research. To analyze image data the author used Hermintoyo’s image theory and to analyze the indirect expression the author used Riffatere’s semiotic theory. Used data are 10 song lyrics of Chandelier's album by Back Number Band. The results of this study indicate that Back Number Chandelier’s songs are poetic and contain many implied meanings. These songs are poetic, shown from 56 imaginations written by the poet to make the listeners feel what the poet wants to express. Besides, the 23 indirect expressions contained in the songs indicate that Back Number poured the song in a different form, it makes the songs have a deeper meaning to keep privacy and everyone can appreciate the songs with their point of view.     Pengaruh Budaya Organisasi Dan Disiplin Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Pada Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kabupaten Karawang

    This study aimed to determine the partial or simultaneous effect of organizational culture, employee work discipline on the performance of the employees of the Department of Transportation (Dishub) Karawang Regency. The method used is descriptive and verification method. The population in this study amounted to 255 employees of the Department of Transportation Karawang Regency. The sample in this study amounted to 153 employees using the Solvin method. The sampling technique in this study used a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that there was a partial influence of 34.6% between Organizational Culture on employee performance and there was a partial influence between work discipline on employee performance of 23.6%. While the simultaneous influence of organizational culture and work discipline on employee performance is 58.2% and the influence of other variables outside the model is 41.8%. In conclusion, there is a significant influence between Organizational Culture, Work Discipline, and simultaneously Organizational Culture and Work Discipline on the Performance of the Employees of the Department of Transportation (DISHUB) Karawang Regency.  Keywords: Organizational Culture, Work Discipline, Employee Performanc

    Efektivitas pembelajaran daring berbasis Google Docs terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi peserta didik pada materi perubahan lingkungan

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan Google docs terhadap keterampilan peserta didik materi Perubahan Lingkungan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian The Matching-Only Posttest-Only Control Group Design . Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Kawali tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 216 orang. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol serta kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengerjaan tugas kelompok di kelas kontrol menggunakan Microsoft word sedangkan kelas eksperimen menggunakan Google docs. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket Collaborative Self-Assesment Tool (CSAT), lembar observasi, dan wawancara tertutup. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji hipotesis ( T-test sample Independent ). Berdasarkan Independent Sample T-test didapatkan signifikansi sebesar 0,768. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Google docs tidak efektif terhadap keterampilan peserta didik peserta didik pada materi Perubahan Lingkungan

    Hubungan Antara Literasi Digital Dengan Sikap Sosial Peserta Didik Pada Pembelajaran Biologi

    The Research is a correlational study that aims to determine the relationship between digital literacy and the social attitudes of students in learning biology. The research sample consisted of 35 students as participants with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The digital literacy questionnaire consisted of 14 statements which the indicators were adapted from Paul Glister (1997). The calculation of the two variables uses a Likert scale. Hypothesis testing used Pearson bivariate correlation and linear regression test. Before testing the hypothesis, first the normality test and linearity test are carried out as a prerequisite analysis test. The results showed that there was a relationship between digital literacy and social attitudes (R = 0.492; R2 = 0.287) meaning that there was a contribution of digital literacy to the social attitudes of students in biology learning by 28.7%.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara literasi digital dengan sikap sosial peserta didik pada pembelajaran biologi. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 35 peserta didik sebagai partisipan dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Angket literasi digital terdiri dari 14 pernyataan yangindikatornya diadaptasi dari Paul Glister (1997). Perhitungan kedua variabel tersebut menggunakan skala likert. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan  korelasi bivariat Pearson dan uji regresi linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara literasi digital  dengan sikap sosial. Nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,492 yang berarti hubungan kedua variabel adalah sedang. Untuk nilai koefisien determinasi  (R2) sebesar 0,242 atau 24,2%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel literasi digital memberikan kontribusi sebesar 24,2% terhadap sikap sosial  peserta didik pada pembelajaran biologi.Kata kunci: literasi digital, pembelajaran biologi, sikap sosia

    Keterampilan Kolaborasi Dan Self-Regulated Learning Peserta Didik: Sebuah Implementasi Model Creative Problem Solving

    The 21st century is characterized by different fundamental changes. This study aims to determine the influence of creative problem-solving models to improve collaboration skills and self-regulated learning of students on environmental change material. The method used is Quasi-experimental. The research design used in this study was the matching-only posttest-only control group design. The population in this study, namely the entire class X mipa, was 186 students. The sample was taken in the form of purposive sampling of 65 students. Data collection was carried out by providing 16 self-regulated learning statements and 15 collaboration skills questionnaire statements. The data analysis technique used is the ANCOVA test. The results showed that the creative problem-solving model had a significant effect (sig = 0.000) on the collaboration and self-regulated learning skills of students on environmental change material. Judging from the average score, the collaboration skills and self-regulated learning of the experimental class are superior compared to the control class. Abad ke-21 ditandai dengan perubahan-perubahan fundamental yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model creative problem solving untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi dan self-regulated learning peserta didik materi perubahan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni the matching-only posttest-only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh kelas X MIPA sebanyak 186 peserta didik. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah non-probability berupa purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan 16 pernyataan self-regulated learning dan 15 pernyataan angket keterampilan kolaborasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji ANCOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukan model creative problem solving berpengaruh signifikan (sig=0,000) terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dan self-regulated learning peserta didik materi perubahan lingkungan. Dilihat dari perolehan skor rata-rata keterampilan kolaborasi dan self-regulated learning kelas eksperimen lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol.Kata kunci: creative problem solving, kolaborasi, self regulated learning DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jbt.v10.i3.2579
