RELATION BETWEEN THE MARKET RISK AND THE QUALITY OF ACCOUNTING INFORMATION FOR THE BRAZILIAN FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

The study aimed to analyze the relationship between the market risk and the quality of accounting information of Brazilian financial institutions. The variables used in the study were: (i) volatility of the stock; (ii) quality of information accounting index through disclosure; (iii) size, profitability and debt. The survey sample consists of 55 organizations belonging to the financial segment of the BM&FBovespa. The results of multiple linear regression analysis demonstrated a significant compared to the proposed model with a power of explanation of 52.10%. The results converged to explain the study's assumption, resulting in a significant negative correlation between volatility and quality of accounting information, as well as volatility and size, and profitability. Starting from the main point, it is concluded that companies with a higher level of disclosure have lower volatility of stock returns, effecting thus cited and presumed importance attached by the market to the accounting information

Increased expression of CCL4/MIP-1β in CD8+ cells and CD4+ cells in sarcoidosis.

Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disease with an increased accumulation of T cells in lungs as a result of on-site proliferation and chemotaxis induced by chemokines. It has already been demonstrated that CCL3-5 levels were increased in BAL fluid of sarcoidosis patients. To analyze the expression of CCL3-5 chemokines by T-cell subtypes (CD4+, CD8+, Th1, Th2, Tc1 or Tc2) in the lungs of sarcoidosis patients, fifteen untreated sarcoidosis patients and eighteen control subjects were enrolled in this study. CD4+and CD8+cells were isolated from BAL fluid by positive magnetic selection. The expression of CCL3-5 and other cytokines in CD4+and CD8+cells were measured by flow cytometry. The percentage of CD4+or CD8+cells expressing CCL4 were significantly higher in sarcoidosis patients (22.3% and 58.1%) compared to those seen in healthy subjects (11.1% and 16.5%, P = 0.04 and P = 0.02, respectively). In addition, the expression of CCL3, CCL4 and CCL5 was significantly elevated in CD8+cells (8.9%, 58.1% and 2.1%) compared to CD4+cells (2.1%, 22.3% and 0.7%; P = 0.04, P = 0.009 and P = 0.04, respectively), whereas CCL4 was expressed by significantly more Tc1 than Th1 cells in sarcoidosis patients (P = 0.006). Our study shows the possible role of CD8+cells and CD4+cells in recruiting T cells to the site of inflammation in sarcoidosis through the release of CCL4, either alone or together with Th1/Tc1-associated cytokines

Photoelectrochemical behavior of electrophoretically deposited hematite thin films modified with ti(IV)

: Doping hematite with different elements is a common strategy to improve the electrocatalytic activity towards the water oxidation reaction, although the exact effect of these external agents is not yet clearly understood. Using a feasible electrophoretic procedure, we prepared modified hematite films by introducing in the deposition solution Ti(IV) butoxide. Photoelectrochemical performances of all the modified electrodes were superior to the unmodified one, with a 4-fold increase in the photocurrent at 0.65 V vs. SCE in 0.1 M NaOH (pH 13.3) for the 5% Ti-modified electrode, which was the best performing electrode. Subsequent functionalization with an iron-based catalyst led, at the same potential, to a photocurrent of ca. 1.5 mA?cm-2 , one of the highest achieved with materials based on solution processing in the absence of precious elements. AFM, XPS, TEM and XANES analyses revealed the formation of different Ti(IV) oxide phases on the hematite surface, that can reduce surface state recombination and enhance hole injection through local surface field effects, as confirmed by electrochemical impedance analysis

Investigando os espaços de lazer com as Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação

Educação na Cultura Digital.Esta investigação teve como objetivo verificar a existência de espaços públicos de Lazer no município de Guarujá do Sul – SC, utilizando as Tecnologias Digitais de Comunicação e Informação para registrar esses espaços. Através de sequência didática realizada com uma turma de terceiro ano de Ensino Médio, verificamos, a partir da percepção de nossos jovens, as necessidades apontadas em relação aos espaços públicos para o lazer e a carência de políticas públicas de lazer no município. Também se constatou a presença marcante das tecnologias no cotidiano dos jovens e, a partir disso, propôs-se uma integração das mesmas nas aulas de Educação Física como oportunidade de discutir, argumentar, verificar e avaliar como podemos atuar na nossa comunidade visando a garantia do direito ao lazer. Dessa maneira, também procuramos valorizar as manifestações culturais ligadas aos jogos e brincadeiras presentes na cultura lúdica dos alunos, possibilitando a vivência das mesmas nas aulas de Educação Física

Implementação da área de recursos humanos em uma pequena indústria do interior de São Paulo: Relato de experiência.

The objective of this work is to report the experience in the implementation process of the Human Resources sector in a small industry of electrical transformers in the interior of São Paulo, starting from a mandatory internship in Organizational and Work Psychology. The elaboration of this work was based on the descriptive analysis of the activities carried out during the internship, associating them to the literature on the theme. The results show the importance of the human resources sector in a small company, because regardless of the size of the organization, having a professional specialized in working with people management is a differential for the organization to achieve its goals. In addition, it expands the field of work in Organizational and Work Psychology, demonstrating to the organization's leaders how a professional in the field can contribute to the improvement of the work environment for employees, in addition to cooperating strategically to achieve organizational goals. The internship proved to be quite advantageous for the trainee, since it made it possible to put theoretical concepts into practice, with the support of supervision, in addition to being able to associate teaching, research and practice, being able to start his professional career. Finally, it is observed that the topic still lacks studies that can serve as a reference on the area of human resources in small companies.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar a experiência no processo de implementação do setor de Recursos Humanos em uma pequena indústria de transformadores elétricos no interior de São Paulo, a partir de um estágio obrigatório em Psicologia Organizacional e do Trabalho. A elaboração deste trabalho baseou-se na análise descritiva das atividades realizadas durante o estágio, associando-as à literatura sobre o tema. Os resultados mostram a importância do setor de recursos humanos em uma pequena empresa, pois independentemente do tamanho da organização, ter um profissional especializado em trabalhar com a gestão de pessoas é um diferencial para que a organização possa atingir os seus objetivos. Além disso, amplia o campo de trabalho em Psicologia Organizacional e do Trabalho, demonstrando aos líderes da organização como um profissional da área pode contribuir para a melhoria do ambiente de trabalho para os colaboradores, além de cooperar estrategicamente para o alcance das metas organizacionais. O estágio mostrou-se bastante vantajoso para o estagiário, uma vez que possibilitou pôr em prática conceitos teóricos, com apoio da supervisão, além de poder associar ensino, pesquisa e prática, podendo dar início a sua trajetória profissional. Por fim, observa-se que o tema ainda carece de estudos que possam servir de referência sobre a área de recursos humanos nas pequenas empresas

Formação em serviço de professores comuns e especializados e suas implicações na prática: uma experiência de consultoria colaborativa

O trabalho traz parte dos resultados de uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa fundamentada na perspectiva participativa e interpretativa. Tem por objetivo oferecer formação continuada em serviço a professores regulares e de educação especial, sob o enfoque de consultoria colaborativa, tendo como base teórica os critérios de Experiência de Aprendizagem Mediada de Reuven Feuerstein. Por meio de filmagem, observação e reuniões reflexivas com participação de duas professoras do ensino comum e uma professora de educação especial, os resultados apontam para a importância do critério de mediação Significado. A prática da professora de 4º ano mostra uma quebra no processo de transmissão do significado e, na reunião reflexiva, as estratégias discutidas, bem como a descrição de algumas práticas já empregadas pelas professoras, levam a um enriquecimento na formação e conhecimento sobre planejamento das atividades, pensando nos objetivos e sobre a importância do feedback tanto para o professor quanto para os alunos para que o significado se estabeleça
