Design of a tool to drive improved supply chain planning decisions within the semiconductor industry

This is the Final Thesis wrote by Pol Aguirre Antonell within Infineon Technologies during the spring semester of 2023. The title of the Thesis is the Design of a tool to drive improved Supply Chain Planning decisions within the semiconductor Industry. We start of explaining the context to understand the necessity of agile planning tools and data analysis within the team. How the Supply Chain and the production of semiconductor products is key for a prosperous European semiconductor segment. To have a good understanding of the needs of the team and company, we study and present the Supply Chain Planning process of Infineon. Having this knowledge, we can start the process of creating the right and best tool to solve the knowledge gap between planning allocation and revenue impacts. To do so we benchmark the existing Data tools and solutions within Infineon Technologies, and we choose to create a Tableau Dashboard. This Dashboard will be connected to an automated data-source. Managed by a Tableau prep flow connected to the Data-lake through Cloudera Hadoop. Coding the Dashboard, it has also been an important practical part of this Thesis and it is presented in Chapter 6. Effective coding, seems simple, light, and easier to explain. Maybe you can explain that most complexity comes from the Waterfall chart whereas the rest requires less workarounds. Overall, we present the use of Tableau workarounds towards a lean dashboarding, and a one-stop dashboard. Lean Dashboarding is as important as having accurate data , and in Chapter 7 there is explanations on how and why the dashboard meets the design and interactivity requirements set by the different stakeholders and key users. To finalize, we study some business analysis that derives uniquely thanks to the report. In this las part we address how the team can integrate the findings from this analysis into their process. Altered blood gene expression of tumor-related genes (PRKCB, BECN1 and CDKN2A) in Alzheimer’s disease

Recent diagnostic criteria have defined a preclinical disease phase during which neuropathological substrates are thought to be present in the brain. There is an urgent need to find measurable alterations in this phase as well as a good peripheral biomarker in the blood. We selected a cohort of 100 subjects (controls = 47; preclinical AD = 11; patients with AD = 42) and analyzed whole blood expression of 20 genes by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The selected genes belonged to calcium-signaling, senescence and autophagy, and mitochondria/oxidative stress pathways. Additionally, two genes associated with an increased risk of developing AD (CLU and BIN1) were also analyzed. We detected significantly different gene expressions of BECN1 and PRKCB between the control and the AD groups; and, of CDKN2A between the control and the preclinical AD groups. Notably, these three genes are also considered tumor suppressor (CDKN2A and BECN1) or tumor promoter (PRKCB) genes. Gene-gene expression Pearson correlations were computed separately for controls and patients with AD. The significant correlations (p<0.001) were represented in a network analysis with Cytoscape tool, which suggested an uncoupling of mitochondriarelated genes in AD group. Estudi i validació de modificacions de l'aerodinàmica d'un Volkswagen Golf mk6

El projecte es basa en realitzar millores aerodinàmiques mitjançant canvis en el disseny d’un Volkswagen Golf Mk6. En aquest treball es realitzaran estudis mitjançant la extensió Flow Simulation de SolidWorks, aquesta extensió permet generar simulacions de fluids molt realistes i dels quals es poden extreure moltes dades i resultats. En el cas d’aquest treball es realitzarà una simulació d’un túnel de vent el qual estudia els moviments i les forces que l’aire aplica sobre el cotxe, per tal de realitzar millores aerodinàmiques i aconseguir un millor pas de corba. Per realitzar el disseny es crearan diferents models de les peces que es volen modificar i es compararan entre si per veure les característiques de cada una. Un cop s’hagi realitzat la comparació es decidirà quina de les peces és més adient per aquest projecte. Finalment s’obtindrà un disseny del cotxe amb cada una de les peces definitives acoblades amb el qual es realitzarà un estudi final i es compararà amb els resultats de l’estudi del cotxe amb les peces de sèrie. Apart aquest projecte inclourà una sèrie d’explicacions del procés de muntatge de cada una de les peces per tal de facilitar als possibles clients la informació necessària per realitzar un canvi de peces. Així doncs, es donarà un seguit de passos per poder realitzar un muntatge ràpid i senzill de totes les peces que es vulguin adaptar.El proyecto se basa en realizar mejoras aerodinámicas mediante cambios en el diseño de un Volkswagen Golf Mk6. En este trabajo se realizarán estudios mediante la extensión Flow Simulation de SolidWorks, esta extensión permite generar simulaciones de fluido muy realistas y de los cuales se pueden extraer muchos datos y resultados. En el caso de este trabajo se realizará una simulación de un túnel de viento donde se estudia el movimiento y las fuerzas que el aire genera sobre el coche, para así poder realizar mejoras aerodinámicas y conseguir un mejor paso de curva. Para realizar el diseño se crearán distintos modelos de las piezas que se quieren modificar y se compararán entre elles para ver las características de cada una. Una vez se haya realizado la comparación se decidirá que piezas son más adecuadas para este proyecto. Finalmente se obtendrá un diseño del coche con cada una de las piezas definitives acopladas con las que se realizará un estudio final y se comparará con los resultados del estudio del coche con las piezas de serie. Además, este proyecto incluye una serie de explicaciones del proceso de montaje de cada una de las piezas para facilitar a los posibles clientes la información necesaria para realizar el cambio de piezas. Así pues, se dará una secuencia de pasos para poder realizar un montaje rápido y sencillo de todas las piezas que se desean montarThe project is based on making aerodynamic improvements through changes in the design of a Volkswagen Golf Mk6. In this work, studies will be carried out using the SolidWorks Flow Simulation extension, which allows for highly realistic fluid simulations from which a great deal of data and results can be extracted. In the case of this work, a wind tunnel simulation will be carried out to study the movement and forces that the air generates on the car, in order to make aerodynamic improvements and achieve better cornering performance. To create the design, different models of the parts that are to be modified will be created and compared to study the characteristics of each one. Once the comparison has been made, it will be decided which parts are more suitable for this project. Finally, a design of the car with each of the definitive parts attached will be obtained, and a final study will be carried out and compared with the results of the study of the car with its original parts. Additionally, this project includes a series of explanations of the assembly process for each of the parts, to provide to potential customers the necessary information to make this changes. Thus, a sequence of steps will be provided to enable a quick and easy assembly of all the desired parts

Homologación del software de un sistema de pesaje

El trabajo de final de grado se realiza en el marco de un convenio de cooperación educativo en la empresa Tesi Industrial Europa SL., empresa especializada en el diseño y construcción de máquinas específicas y estándar para líneas de producción y envasado de productos agroalimentarios. Concretamente el trabajo realizado se ha focalizado en desarrollar un software que permite la comunicación entre el terminal de pesaje y el sistema de control de la línea de producción. Por ello, se definen las especificaciones que debe cumplir un programa dedicado a obtener el correcto funcionamiento de un sistema de pesaje dinámico, y se evalúan las restricciones que deben incorporarse para asegurar que el sistema funcione según lo esperado, con el fin de conseguir el máximo número de pesadas por minuto y con la máxima fiabilidad

Síndrome de Burnout en docentes de educación secundaria de una Institución Educativa Pública de Lima Metropolitana, según grupos diferenciados

El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar las diferencias del Burnout entre los docentes de educación secundaria según grupos diferenciados por sexo, edad y área curricular. La muestra fue de 54 docentes, se les administró el Inventario de Burnout de Maslach y Jackson (1971) validado en Perú por Fernández en el 2002. Para la aplicación del instrumento se gestionó el permiso del colegio y se entregó un consentimiento informado a cada docente. El diseño de la investigación fue de tipo descriptivo comparativo, se describieron los niveles y se comparó por grupos el Burnout. El resultado indica que no existen diferencias estadísticamente significativas por sexo. Respecto a sus edades, el grupo más joven evidenció mayor Despersonalización y Realización personal, siendo esta diferencia pequeña pero estadísticamente no significativa. La única diferencia estadísticamente significativa se encontró en cuanto a área curricular, en agotamiento emocional existe una diferencia pequeña, el área de Letras y ciencias sociales presenta mayor agotamiento emocional que las otras áreas. Se concluye que no existen diferencias estadísticamente significativas al comparar el Burnout según sexo y edad, pero sí en relación con las áreas curriculares y, en específico, con respecto a la dimensión de Agotamiento emocional

Las cometas. De la memoria histórica al trabajo competencial en educación física

INTRODUCCIÓ. Les tradicions són elements que mostren la identitat d’un poble, i els jocs dels nens són part d’aquesta tradició. L’objecte d’estudi d’aquest article són els estels. Específicament, a partir d’un esbós històric, folklòric i lúdic, i l’anàlisi dels seus usos i simbolismes. MÈTODE. La metodologia s’ha basat en l’anàlisi d’obres de finals de s. XIX i inicis del s. XX que tracten la història, el simbolisme i la construcció del joc. Se centra l’estudi en l’aportació del folklorista Joan Amades, que detalla els diferents significats i usos d’aquesta joguina. Les fonts secundàries relacionades amb l’estel contextualitzen l’aportació. A més a més, s’ha dut a terme una aplicació a l’aula, per al possible treball competencial, amb un grup d’alumnes de cicles formatius de la família d’activitats físiques i esportives. RESULTATS. La proposta permet a l’alumnat veure els jocs del passat, les dificultats a l’hora de construir-los, la manera de jugar-hi i l’aplicació al segle XXI. DISCUSSIÓ. S’evidencia que cal una reflexió al voltant del passat i una recuperació de les tradicions si es vol mantenir la identitat dels pobles.INTRODUCTION. Traditions are elements of a population’s identity, and children’s games are part of the tradition. The object of the study of the present article is kite-flying. We start with a historical outline of the place of the kite in folklore and play, and then analyse its uses and symbols. METHOD. The methodology is based on the analysis of studies from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries that explore the history, symbolism, and construction of kite-flying. The study focuses on the work of the folklorist Joan Amades, who discussed the various meanings and uses of kites. Secondary sources related to kites are also analysed. Besides, an experience has been applied in the classroom for developing skills in a group of vocational training students in physical education. RESULTS. The proposal introduces students to games that young people played in the past. It stresses the difficulty of making and flying kites and considers some of their possible applications in the twenty-first century. DISCUSSION. Reflecting on the past and recovering traditions is a vital part of maintaining a people’s identity.INTRODUCCIÓN. Se realiza a partir de un esbozo histórico, folklórico y lúdico, y el análisis de sus usos y simbolismos de dicho instrumento. MÉTODO. La metodología se ha basado en el análisis de obras de finales del s. XIX e inicios del s. XX que tratan la historia, simbolismo y construcción del juego. Se centra el estudio en la aportación del folklorista Joan Amades, que detalla los diferentes significados y usos de este juguete. Las fuentes secundarias relacionadas con la cometa contextualizan la aportación. A la vez, se ha llevado a cabo una aplicación en el aula, para el posible trabajo competencial, con un grupo de alumnos de ciclos formativos de la familia de actividades físicas. RESULTADOS. La propuesta permite hacer ver al alumnado los juegos existentes en el pasado, la dificultad en su construcción, la práctica y la aplicación al siglo XXI. DISCUSIÓN.
